I loved walking a round the beside the old walls and along the sea and meandering along the old town streets. The archaeological museum and museum of ancient glass were both well worth a visit. The sea organ was a great experience- listening to these eerie sounds while taking in the seaside scenery at sunset. Nin is a short drive away and worth an hour or so. If you like ruins it is also worth going to Vir and visiting the ruined seaside castle there. And finally, it is a must to go to Peklanica national park one day. It is superb.
Old Zadar is a beautiful place full of sights. The sea organ is a rarity. Night walks through the back streets of Zadar were great. The local market was great, I like local ingredients and the fishmongery offered everything one likes and always likes to taste. I recommend visiting the Piat bistro on Stomorica street.
The city is very interesting and small enough to walk the whole length from the raised fort gardens right through to the sea organ which was amazing, and be sure and stay for the sunset !! The restaurants were mostly decent but a few had very old menus/reviews in Trip Advisor - 2018 and either had changed or were closed. Some were too touristy and over priced... updating the websites would help also. We stayed in Diklo and the bus at night was a bit ' hit and miss'... time wise - there are some nice places to eat towards Borik. Although they say every place takes cards, many bars, small cafes do not, so you HAVE to get Kuna ! TIP* the 'news stand' kiosks sell 2 bus tickets locally for 16 kuna not the 20 (10/10) on the bus and for the next day! save 8 kuna and buy a beer!
The city center is great,S.Donat,Široka ulica and all places in the old city! Also BORIK beach in the near easy to reach by city bus.And some beautifful island trips by boat!Higly recomended!Kornati islands and Dugin otok.
Well-kept pebble beaches with remarkable views, delicious and affordable restaurants, and a bonus historical center with an awesome nightlife. Would recommend staying at a resort or a villa outside the city for enjoying the beach. Very crowded in and near city, at least in August.
Nice city with several options to spend your holiday: restaurants, beaches, old town, boat trips, buggy ride, etc. Other excursion spots like Plitvice and Krka National Parks are in comfortable driving distance. Less crowded than Split or Dubrovnik.

Beautiful apartments, close to the city center, shopping centers and everything you might need on your vacation! The apartments are really cozy and clean, comfortable beds and all really nice decorated, provided with all the necessary, either for just a weekend escape or for a week and more. I was only in town for one night before flying out of Zagreb airport the next morning but the flat couldn't have been more convenient, comfortable, and quiet (important considering it's proximity to the airport.) There were nice touches like fresh fruit and the heat already being on (nice since it was 5°c) and the host made a great suggestion for nearby dinner. I'd definitely stay again!
