Walk and enjoy historic pieces, roman Forum and streets, church from 9th century, medieval town configuration oriented to the maritime trade. Charming adaptation of old houses into cafe' & restaurants & bookstores. Very relaxing environment, with sea breeze. Feel good town!
If you want to walk, it's an ideal place to walk (if the weather conditions are ok)... If you don't want to or can't walk then you have to take either tahi or public transport. (For my conditions and standrad is too expensive). The old town of Zadar and the surrounding places (beaches, islands, cultural historical monuments, etc.) are ideal for visiting when you are already in this city. As for food, here (In Zadar) food is varied and beautiful but unfortunately I will say about my (our) conditions and standard is TOO EXPENSIVE. What I don't like when I come to Zadar is the distance from my country (where I live) and the road is too long and it all makes me very tired... If I have to sum it up then I will say : ZADAR IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL CITY
Zadar is a wonderful town, which offers the atmosphere of the good old days. Full of friendly people, and wonderful centuries-old architecture. I recommend it for lovers of art, archaeology and history, I especially recommend it for writers who will surely find inspiration in these narrow marble streets. Zadar is a hit in the winter. I will definitely look here inspiration again .
When you arrive at Zadar Airport, take the bus to town. It's only EUR 5,-- and the bus driver accepts Euros. Best have your fivers ready because he/she might not have enough change. Within 20 minutes you're in the old town. The streets look wet, but they are somewhat polished by everybody who walks around. Stone houses and bridges left and right. The sea is right there and the most amazing sight is the sea organ. Go there in the evening and listen to the sea making music. There is also solar floor art right there. If you have an extra full day, grab the ferry to Ugljan. It's not even a 30-minute ride away and costs ~EUR 2,50 if you get the ticket at the official ticket office. You can also hop on the bus and go to Nin within 20 minutes. It's an old village with salt production and a museum. Overall, Zadar is a very clean and cute little town surrounded by wonderful nature.
A beautiful and interesting city, with many monuments and important places. The most beautiful sunsets and the sound of the sea organ. Friendly people, great food and drink. There is always something to discover and why to come back.
The old town is steeped in history, with lots of great places to eat, have coffee and ice cream - the markets were good. It was difficult to get around Zadar City if you don't have a car - could do with some guides in English and where to get transport to places - Boat cruises are plentiful - we went on a couple and they were worth doing. You really need a good 7 days to explore all of Zadar and the beaches.
This was a little gem of a hotel. The room was so comfortable and pleasant to stay in (lovely beds and shower) on our first night near Zadar which is a lovely town. The decor around the hotel added to the pleasure of staying there. Loved it Everyone including breakfast staff was lovely..plenty available at breakfast and as we were leaving early we were provided with a little takeaway breakfast, a nice touch. Even a cheery wave when we departed after only staying one night! So nice
Zadar
The room was perfectly situated in old town. You couldn't ask for a more central room than this. Room was very clean and air condition and wifi were excellent. Would stay again! Definitely suggest parking at Ul. Krešimira Ćosića, 23000, Zadar, Croatia. It's about a 7 minute walk, but it is the cheapest option, and you can park overnight. Make sure to have Kuna (Euro post Jan 2023) for payment for parking.
This hotel was a little more resort-like than what we had expected and is about a 15 minute walk outside the old town gates. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was here, including the buffet dinner the night we were too tired to walk to old town. Breakfast buffet was excellent. We especially enjoyed the salt water swimming pool after a long, tiring day.
Ivo, the owner himself, received us with open arms and a big smile. The location is excellent, just in front of the marina and within walking distance of the old town. Spotless and comfortable facilities. Hotel parking is right in front of the building. Two flights of stairs were not a problem as the always helpful Ivo helped with the bags.
Zadar
Lovely apartment with pool view - very spacious and immaculately clean. Very lovely and helpful owners - would recommend apartment 8. 10 minutes walk to the little boat to the old town or 20 minutes without the boat. Some nice places for coffee close by. Swimming in the sea 10 minutes away. We loved it thank you - and we loved Zadar too.
Zadar
Everything. It's a very cosy, safe and comfortable place to stay. Well equipped, the flat is spacy, very nicely decorated, very clean. And a very pleasant host as a bonus. One of the best places to stay in Croatia. We felt very comfortable and welcome. If we go back to Zadar, we would like to stay at the same place again. Rene and Maria.
location is not central, but you get the best sunsets and wonderful vibes. this hotel is family owned with a big heart, the staff were amazing and ultra welcoming. I did not do zadar justice by staying only two nights, when i am back , i will rebook at Hotel Niko. just great! thanks.
Close to Zadar and Directly across from the water/boardwalk. Great for adults/swimming children. Non-swimming children will require floating assistance. FYI Hotel Niko and Nico are two different places. Both nice. But our group accidentally was split due to the confusion.
Zadar
The view from the apartment is amazing. The apartment is beautiful ❤️. The bed is super soft and the tub in the bedroom was fun. The host Dino was super nice and easy to communicate. 💯 recommended. Walking distances to Zadar old Town.
Zadar
A very decent place to stay. We wanted a place for one night in Zadar, for that long it was ok, considering that it is a hostel and not a hotel. Ok.
Lovely clean, modern rooms right in old town of Zadar. Had everything you would need and very reasonably priced.
Apartment is 5 stars. Location is excellent. Zadar is very nice city. We'll be back!
