Spoiled for choice with fantastic restaurants (the best one being 4 Cantuna!) and great bars for a drink. Such a vibrant, colourful place with loads to do, we would thoroughly recommend a trip to Lake Plitvice National Park! Very easy to navigate too, if you were planning on staying we would recommend staying in the Old Town.
I loved old tiwn i would come back. Loads to learn of the culture and history. The sea organ is amazing We drank ad ate in loads of places all amazing. You can walk around old town in just over a hour but you will take longer looking at all the old churches and do stop for a swim.
Zadar is great value for money. Plenty food and drink on offer. Average round of 5 beers was about £10. One of the best steaks I have ever had, around £12 at Kapric restaurant. Worth a visit but email to book as popular with locals too. We loved the free walking tour of Zadar old town. Full of history and good overview of where to visit. We also visited Plitvice National Park and this is a MUST SEE! Sensationally beautiful. The sea organ is really impressive and there is a fun planetary light show at night. Best place to watch the sunset and you can take a picnic and bottle of wine or beers. Ferry to Sali and a walk from one ferry port to another with gorgeous swimming spots and quaint restaurants. Everywhere we visited was beautifully clean, locals friendly, weather gorgeous and we all felt incredibly safe.
We found Zadar to be amazing everything we wanted for a mini holiday. We found everyone friendly helpful and almost everyone spoke English. The transfer from airport so easy and cheap with the local bus. We found a restaurant called Bello which served amazing food that we ate every meal over 4 days from both breaks at this restaurant and the staff so friendly and helpful. The prices were also cheap we just ate and drank our way through the menu. We will return again hopefully in October.
There is everything one might look for in a coastal Croatian city. Its clean, with plenty of butique restaurants and bars. Morning offers a great Zadar market and plenty of food option. Parking is available everywhere.
The Kolavare beach was a pebble beach, so get a crocs to walk around here. The city itself has lot of buildings in Roman style, so its amazing to take a walk in the streets with pebbled roads and antique style buildings. Restaurants with different cuisines help you out to choose different taste of your choice. The sea organ is a must visit in the evening when the organ plays very nice.
Zadar
The best value on our entire trip through Croatia. Spacious, beautifully designed and furnished room equipped with everything you could need. It felt like a stay in a brand new 4-star hotel. Private parking was available, small but sandy (total rarity here) beach only minutes on foot from the property. The owner was super nice and greeted us on arrival. I couldn't want anything more from an accommodation like this. I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone :)
Zadar
This was not the cheapest nor the most expensive place we stayed in Croatia, but it was easily the best. We wished we could have stayed more than the one night we booked. The apartment was lovely: new, well-appointed, clean, and perfect for two couples. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating. Having a private rooftop space with Jacuzzi as well was amazing and we could have spent much more time there. A great value overall!
Zadar
The hostel is at good location for backpackers. 14 minutes walk from Zadar bus terminal, where you can walk by looking at the beautiful view of Kolovare Beach. Easily accessible to all major attractions at Zadar and surrounded by on of the most happening streets in Croatia. Room was big and clean. Bed was comfy. good Wi-Fi connection and have two charging points for each bed. Toilet was too tiny to move, washroom was good and clean.
Zadar
The hotel is a tastefully refurbished and well maintained historical building in the very heart of Zadar. All visits to the city center can be done by foot in a couple of minutes, while the best beaches are only 15 minutes' drive away. The room was rather small, but well equipped and did not leave anything to desire. Extremely friendly and competent personnel. Excellent breakfast for a reasonable price.
This Apartment is just a dream place!! I can recommend it to 100 %. All is brand new and with taste! At least 60 square meter. Two big Balconies with the whole day sunshine.. A fitness studio like in a 4-5 star Hotel. The apartment is located close to kaufland grocery and just 10 min walk to Old town. Also close to bus stop that can take you to main bus station or to Petrcane beaches.
We loved this luxury hotel room. Nicest room we had during our 1 month European road trip. Our host and hostess were beyond kind and so helpful. The bed was comfortable, great huge smart TV with English channels and fabulous walk in shower. Fridge, kettle and welcome drink included. Great location, just 10 minutes to old town. And secure underground parking included for free!
Zadar
-The apartment is located in the residental building with elevator which is quite a surprise considering it's in old town Zadar. -Also another plus is the taxi can go right in front of the residential building -Our studio has a view to the sea, very nice and it's quite spacious with decent cooking accessories. -Big flat screen TV with good Internet.
Hotel is located right across the coast, the Room was beautifully decorated, free parking space available and staff was extraordinarily helpful. It seems to be their family business and that reflects in their service. Its a long walk to the old town but cheap cabs available all the time. Overall excellent place and I would like to go back again someday ☺️
Zadar
Sasha was extremely friendly and showed us all the good spots to eat and see. The apartment was very clean, modern and in the heart of the old town. Excellent location. I would highly recommend if you are travelling to zadar. Bus to airport is very cheap a.d only few minutes walk away
Really friendly staff, but not located near centre. If you want to get into the old centre of Zadar on a Friday or Saturday, do take a taxi! (Very little parking available at the old town). Free parking at the hotel. Breakfast fine.
Zadar
Such nice small boutique hotel, only four rooms. We had the top floor room with a terrace overlooking the city and partly sea view. Location was amazing in Zadar Old Town. Cute decorations, and near and clean rooms and bathrooms
The location right in old Town. The breakfast was very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The free parking which helps a lot in that area of the city. The design of the hotel
Zadar
Everything was great, kind hosts, clean and comfortable apartment with nice terrace for us smokers. Close to old town Zadar, so we could take a walk there, parking spot near apartment.
Zadar
Fantastic apartments just a short uber ride from Zadar old town. Host and hostess very friendly and helpful. Amazing roof terrace with pool and rooms very modern and clean!
Zadar
The best hotel I've ever stayed. One day, even if I'll be rich and would come to Croatia again, for sure I'll come for this hostel.. and will buy it.. whole
Nice little hotel, not far from Zadar center. It has private parking and it is just few meters away from the sea. Decent breakfast included.
Location, parking next to hotel, spacious room, breakfast, staff, old town charm, historical sight...
This hotel worked out great for my little group. The location was great as it has a big beach but it close to town. It was clean, the staff was friendly, the pool was nice, and the food was good.
