Zadar is a vey old and small town of Croatia.
Zadar is a vey old and small town of Croatia. The narrow streets are fun to explore with ruins seen throughout the city. The town does get crowded as more people have discovered this little gem. I highly recommend the island boat tours and the day trip to the Plitvice Lakes with the company Romeo & Juliet, an amazing beautiful day trip.

Lovely city, but too crowded and very hot
The beaches around are beautiful, but difficult to find and with either expensive private parking or difficult public parking. You have to be early to get the good spots. We liked the beaches in Istria more
Kastelina beach was a discovery, we recommend a visit there

Avoid the Taxi Zadar from the old town, woman in a VW is a skam artist, charges you 50 euros to travel a mile, then locks the doors and tells you she is going to call the police until you pay up just to be allowed out, a quick google search shows she does this to everyone.

Beautiful walled city with lots of restaurants.
Beautiful walled city with lots of restaurants. The sea organ is lovely to visit and relax. Lots of beautiful places to visit on day trips. Good bus service but keep away from official taxis which are notorious for ripping people off. Uber or the bus is the way to go
The apartment is located in the heart of old town Zadar, therefore right in the center of all sights and action. However, in the apartment no nuisance was experience. A golden combination. The apartment are to the standard of a luxurious hotel room. Great interior with a very comfortable bed and great bathroom. As a family we rented both apartments, therefore it was a bonus that the apartments are basically directly connected by a small private hallway.
We loved everything about this place! We stayed in five different hotels in Croatia and this was definitely our favourite. The management/staff were very friendly and accommodating. Very nice, relaxed and homely vibe to the hotel. The hotel is a few yards from the sea. The home cooked food here is lovely and very reasonably priced. Zadar old town is a short cab ride away, kiosk and supermarket are a short walk away. Fantastic sunsets!
The hotel is all new, very well decorated and has nice staff. The restaurant is a must! We ended up going a few times while in Zadar, best food we had in Croatia.
A receptionist recommended a few restaurants in the old town, but they were very full and crowded (and had SO many smokers), that, thankfully, we decided to head back and eat at the hotel.
- The strategic location of the room, in the middle of the old town of Zadar.
- The room's design, cleaness and equipement.
- The kindness of the manager.
- The fact that it is not a "conventional" hotel make it feel like you're staying in your "own" place. And the management office is at just 1 minute walk.
5 stars hotels and all the apartments should take lessons from this place! We were amazed by everything, nothing bad to say. Well done, excellent 10/10!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
