Less tourists , enough of attractions to keep us busy for 3 days. Very relaxing atmosphere visiting Zadar old city. Fascinating use of technology to create Organ of the sea and the Solar Salute. To see lights best after sunset. Better when darker.
Zadar is peaceful city, enough attraction in city for two days. The main jewels of the Zadar are near by attractions. You can drive or take a bus day trip to Plitvice National Park, Krka National Park or Paklenica national park. Actually you can plan whole separate multi day trip to these places if you are specially into Hiking and Trekking. From Zadar you can go on boat trip to Telašćica island specially salt lagoon or to Kornati islands beaches. Water is very clean there, there are many activities you can do like Scuba Diving, Kayaking or just lay down on a beach and relax. Near by Zadar there are many attractions like wine testing and trip to farming areas. You just need to search for those and you will have plenty of them there. Best time to visit there is between Jun and Sep. But if you are looking for better prices then May end or start of October is also good.
Beautiful place to visit for long weekend. People very friendly and helpful. Mostly good value for money. Boat tour a bit disappointing. Would maybe go on larger vessel and spend a bit more if going again. Beautiful sunsets Got great recommendations from locals. Brushetta and 4 kantuna were my favourite restuarants
Walking through the city center is a very nice experience, the city is old and you can see preserved history all around. The city is full of good restaurants with not the most expensive food. Famous atraction the Sea organ is not a place where you could spend long time, but Zadar has much more to offer. It is also a good starting point for half-day or full-day trips to islands like Kornati or to Plitvice lakes.
Old Town is wonderful The Sea organ and sunset point are amazing in the evening The main square and little streets are quaint and beautiful The whole area is steeped in history and full of hidden ruins, buildings and historical sites The little park is pretty with a nice viewpoint The restaurants are expensive but cheaper cafes are to be found The bell tower is definitely worth visiting for the panoramic views
Great walkable old town, child/stroller friendly with little very flat streets and almost no stairs and hills. The restaurants, even in the touristy spots, were reasonably priced and had great quality. We visited in March/April and the tourist season was just starting, so the streets and all the places were not crowded at all. The temperatures were around 15C during the day and around 8-10 at night. It was very windy. and felt kinda cold at times. We rented two bicycles for a whole day for 30 EUR total and just drove along the coast there and back - breathtaking! :) English is widely spoken and the Uber ride between the Zadar Old Town and the Zadar Airport takes about 20 minutes and in April 2023 costed around 15-18 EUR. Beautiful city and great food. Will come back for sure!
Zadar
The hotel was in the very very center of Zadar, with a nice view to the church's clock tower (and the Forum) from our room. The room was quite clan and I must say that discretion was very well preserved for my friend and me (we stayed in a 4-beds room) thanks to the curtains. Common spaces were clean and useful as well. The hosts moreover were extremely helpful and were the first reason for which our stay in Zadar was so nice. Aside of this, the hostel was populated by respectful and nice other guests.
Zadar
Apartment super located by the beach in a quiet neighborhood, only 4 km from the old town of Zadar, 300 m to the supermarket and ATM, close to the bus stop. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, big bathroom, terrace with garden furniture, sunbeds at guests' disposal. The owner Brankica super nice and helpful, always smiling. Offers transfer to/from airport (extra charge), latte coffee and croissant on the beach :)) Beautiful sunset! I will definitely come back.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: If there was a way to rate more than 10 I would have gone for it. We had an amazing start to our croatian trip in Zadar because of this fabulous experience. She is a fabulous host who goes out of her way to help her guests and I would endorse her to all my colleagues and friends. Best part of the stay was my 7 year old saying he doesnt want to leave the apartment at the end of our stay !!
Zadar
The location of the apartment is perfect. The studio itself is simple, but comfortable and has all the basic things you need for a vacation, and even a bit more (like a washing machine and a TV). The owner was kind and very easy to contact. All in all, I think it's a gem and I'd recommend it to anyone (who doesn't need a 5 star hotel experience to enjoy their vacation).
The room was great, very spacious, comfortable bed, very clean, modern bathroom, bathrobes. Okay breakfast. Nice spa area (extra charge) with Finnish and Turkish sauna and whirlpool. We had massages and they were great. Excellent location of the hotel with views on the waterfront and in the beautiful old town of Zadar. We would come again! Excellent hotel!
Zadar
It was in the old town, very cheap and had a place to park which many other places did not have. So, it was nice not to drive and take nice lovely walks around the old town of Zadar. The room had everything it needed and the bathroom was bigger than expected. Nice and very practical to stay in the old town in Zadar.
Zadar
Gordan was an amazing host who greeted us upon arrival and departure. The apartment was perfectly situated within steps of a bakery stand, cafe and the bridge leading to the old town center. Zadar was a wonderful experience and staying in Gordan’s apartment was the highlight of our trip! Thank you so much!
location is not central, but you get the best sunsets and wonderful vibes. this hotel is family owned with a big heart, the staff were amazing and ultra welcoming. I did not do zadar justice by staying only two nights, when i am back , i will rebook at Hotel Niko. just great! thanks.
Zadar
Everything about City Square was just perfect. Great location, right in the centre of the Old Town. Studio with terrace was really lovely with everything you needed. Michelle was do helpful with the directions, etc. If I visit Zadar again I will definitely book City Square.
Zadar
Very close to the beach, convince store is also around. Few coffee shops and a place to grab a meal in a few minutes walking distance. Overall, good place if you don't want to use your car. And you can take a nice walk on the beach all the way up to the downtown Zadar.
Zadar
Location - right in the old town. Facilities - very nice and modern look. Cleanliness - 5 stars! Staff - Ana went above and beyond: not only I got upgraded from 6 bed to 4 bed dorm, she allowed me to store the luggage the following day for free. Highly recommended!
Triana is super nice and a very helpful host. The rooms are comfortable and clean. It's close to a typical croatian beton cement beach. Beautiful sunsets, nice restaurant nearby. Take the bus number 8 to Zadar old Town. It departs every 20 minutes.
Excellent location and supportive host. Easy to walk around in old town of Zadar. The restaurant attached with the property is also good for fish items . Host helped us store the luggage in restaurant after the checkout time.
Zadar
It's not a hotel. It's a private accommodation operated by the agency, and they didn't mention it in the description. The only thing I like about the room is the location in the center of Zadar.
Zadar
Believe me, most of the suites at 5 stars hotels dont have all the confort that this fantastic apartment has. And believe me, I am hotel director!! The best accomodation during our 28 night trip in Croatia.
Interior is like a 5 star. Super design. Bathroom is heaven. Very good hotel for the value. You hear the living street. Balcony exists and not a bad smell around unlike others near city walls.
Room is good, location is close to everything you would like to visit in Zadar. Hotel staff helped us a lot with car parking on narrow streets.
It is paid for 5 stars hotel. This is definitely not 5 stars hotel from all aspects, so in summary there was nothing to like except location.
