Set in Zadar Old Town next to the historical monuments and museums, Teatro Verdi Boutique Hotel provides concierge service and a tour desk as well as a 24-hour front desk.
Great location, helpful staff. Limited reserved parking spaces. Free parking on the street is available, but rare in peak season. The staff however helped to find a parking space quickly, so that was not a problem either. Room was quiet despite the central location.

Hotel Donat - All Inclusive in Zadar enjoys a perfect location next to the crystal-clear sea and a marvelous beach, offering a wide diversity of sports, recreation and activity possibilities.
I loved my stay at this hotel. The staff were all super professional and friendly too. The location by the sea is absolutely stunning, so relaxing in fact that I extended my stay. It’s also a good walk or short bus journey from Zadar centre. My room was tastefully decorated and the food was delicious, that really exceeded my expectations. It was very busy with teenage guests throughout my stay, but while boisterous and quite loud, they were well behaved. I hope to return sometime.

Located in a peaceful area of Zadar, Hotel Kolovare offers air-conditioned rooms with a balcony.
Hotel is on almost ideal location in close proximity of bus station, historical city centre and Kolovare beach. The sight and the scent of many Aleppo pine trees nearby just add to the atmosphere. Rooms and hallways are clean and exceptional. There are many breakfast options. I've resided in Hotel Kolovare twice (2003 & 2022), and I still hold it in the highest regard.

The staff is beyond friendly. The pool is nice and quiet (and has poolside cocktail order service). The room is correct, nothing to complain about. But the food in the restaurant (we had a half-board accommodation) is worth the reservation alone. It's worthy of a stand-alone restaurant: creative, tasty and fresh.

I loved the little patio where we had breakfast. The linden trees in the yard were in full bloom and the smell was amazing. The room was big and clean, and we had a little patio of our own at the ground floor, very nice surprise and really useful when you have a kid. The staff was very friendly, we felt welcomed. Would definitely return.

Tucked away on the crystal blue waters of the Adriatic Sea and surrounded by small archipelago, Zadar is sprinkled with Romanesque architecture, medieval churches and protected by 16th century fortifications and high walls.
As the waves crash along the shores, the sea organ will play its harmonic sounds and welcome you to Zadar’s lively and charming Old Town, located across from the mainland. It is lined with marble walkways, landmarks, fascinating museums, and priceless archives.
It is home to the National Museum, Five Wells Square, the 14th-century University of Zadar, and the Roman Forum which features the 9th-century St Donatus' Church and 12th-century St. Mary's Church.
Stroll along the pretty tree-lined promenades and enjoy a meal in the several cafés, restaurants and bars which line Zadar's streets. Visit the popular Peoples Square in the district Narodni trg and shop in the Mercator Centar or City Galleria.

We visited Zadar 6 years ago and now that we were back there really wasn't anything new to see. It's a beautiful city if you want to visit it once, but since it's very tourist oriented we would not recommend going there again. The service in most places is unfriendly, the place is overrun with tourists and the eating-out options are all very expensive with food that is not that great.
Beautiful old town city center. Lots of good restaurantes, plus a super vegan restaurant. Lots of boat tour possibility to the surrounding islands. Very good fruit veggie and fishmarket. The local people are very friendly.
You cannot buy a coffee and cake in a cafe. I believe its to do with the smoking rules. No smoking with food. So the smoking gets priority. We had to buy cake in bakery and bring to coffee shop for a coffee. How mad is that. Very nice scenery and walks. Had to find our own way to the ferry for the islands. To much emphasis on flogging tours at inflated prices. Tried to book a tour that had no swimming time snorkling or meals jus a plain sight seeing tour of the islands. No luck. Uber taxis very reasonable and prompt . Excellent. Bus fares very reasonable. Prices at the airport a joke . Plain water €3.5 . In Dublin €1.0
Zadar is a very nice place. This was our 5th visit and we will be back. I recommend to rent a car and travel up and down the coast and see the beaches .A must is to visit Sibenik down the coast and Vir and Pag islands up the coast.
We have stayed in many places in Croatia. Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnick, Istria are just a few. Trying something new, we booked. Zadar. TBH, I was only aware of Zadar because of the singing sea front. We were very pleasantly surprised on our arrival. The city is beautifull. There has obviously been alot of money spent improving, well, everything. And it is working. Arriving September, which I thought was "off season" to find evrywhere busy. Not mobbed as in July/ August, but more than I thought. Restaurant prices reflected this affluent part of thworld, but this is the norm these days. Still managed to find some excellent value eateries. Bottom line - one of our better Croatian holidays.
Plenty to see and do in Zadar. Most of the town is within reasonable walking distance so not too big for anyone with mobility issues like myself. Quite flat in most parts too. Maybe 5 days would be ideal. Well located for boat trips and the ferry services to other islands. Would stay again but use as a base to visit other parts of the region as well. Although restaurants provide no smoking areas internally, externally and in bars not serving food, smoking is quite a big issue for us non smokers and can at times be uncomfortable.
