That was our best accomodation in Moni (and we stayed in 3 different ones). The family is very welcoming and helpful, they helped us with the motorbike renting when it didn't work anywhere else in the village. The room was perfect, very clean and spacious. We recommend it 100%!

Hidayha There are no words to describe how wonderful my time here in Moni at Brian and Rose‘s Homestay was. I arrived one day ahead of my booking. Just around lunch, and the guests from the night before just left. So my room was not ready yet. But still, i felt welcomed the minute i got there. While Rose cleaned the room, Brian had coffee with me on the terrace and explained me the surroundings and what’s to do around. From the house with the nice garden you have a great view over the hills. And i could observe how clean Rose prepared the room. And she didn‘t just changed the sheets, she changed the whole blanket. Brian has a motorbike and offered me to show me around and to drive me up to the crater in the morning. He even invited me for dinner because it was his daughters birthday. During dinner with the whole family I really felt like a part of the family. They are all very polite, friendly and funny. Specially Brian makes a lot of jokes. And Rose is an excellent cook! The location, like most homestays in the village have, is very good. There is an ATM just next door, and the best restaurant from the village is just across the road. The house has a beautiful garden and an amazing view. Rose and Brian did all they could and more to make you feel happy and at home. They are not after the money, they want you to have the best time you could have in Moni. Although the whole village still strouggles from very little tourists since corona (having such an iconic mountain right above the village, most of them depend on visitors) For me though it was great, that there weren‘t many tourists. I had a very authentic and great time in Moni. For my departure they Brian could organise a seat in a shared taxi to Bajawa. They help you to get on the right bus, and can even help you to organise transport to all of Flores. (There was another guest who did a private tour for a few days from Labuan Bajo to Moni with Brian‘s Brother.

The accommodation was beautiful and had everything you needed... you had breakfast next to a river and waterfalls... but the best of all was the staff... the guys who run the hotel were cheerful, fun, and played guitar and sang. Great!!!

Very nice veranda with a perfect view over the little river passage by beneath. Billy the owner is super helpful and can help you organise trips and drivers.

We had a great stay at Santiago. Muni and his family belong to the Lio ethnic group. What incredible kindness! The accommodation is very clean. Simple and comfortable. And a few meters away is a restaurant with a simple but tasty and generous menu. Very good adress.

Lovely little room right in the center of Moni. Amazing hostess, very caring.

- The owner was really helpful before we arrived in Flores and arranged for a private transfer from Bajawa to Moni and to Ende the next day. They also arranged for a walking tour of Kelimutu NP and surrounding villages. I’d recommend booking the walking tour as we got a local guide (Francisco) who went us to the volcano, talked to us about the history and kept us patient to wait until the clouds cleared to see the lakes. Lots of people had left the summit as they were frustrated with the clouds but the local guide assured us that it would clear (and it did!) - New property and really modern interior. Unique experience for the area. The bathroom in particularl is really well designed. - Tasty breakfast and looked after us once we came back from Kelimutu which was late morning which was really appreciated.

The kindest and most welcoming hosts, set in the beautiful location of Moni. Hans, Emelda & family really made us feel like we were at home - from inviting us to their Son’s celebration one evening, tending to our injuries after we took a fall, arranging buses for us, and organising for their Nephew Anton to show us around his village. We fully recommend if you want a homestay that make you feel like part of their family!

Wonderfull hosts in Rosa and Johannes. Enjoyable breakfast served on your balcony overlooking the gardens. Right across the road from the best restaurant in town. Highly recommended.
