What an amazing place this is! I had such a great time here. Even though it was the rainy season and I couldn’t hike Mount Rinjani, I met an incredible guide named Yadi, who showed me the rice fields and some hidden gems I’d never have found on my own. The owner Yasmine, is absolutely fantastic! We laughed so much together and played cards, she was a good sport about losing every single time to me ;P. I even got to meet her family and we had a delicious BBQ with duck. And let’s not forget the chef Rajang, his cooking skills are on another level! He’s always ready to whip up something amazing for you. I’m definitely coming back in a few months to climb that mountain with Yadi. This place is a solid 10/10 🤍❤️

I stayed here with my family and this hotel is amazing! It has a wide garden with tropical plants and the ambience is so relaxing. The family who runs the hotel is really kind and welcoming 🙏🏼 if I had to come back to Lombok I would definitely go there

Staying at Rudy Trekker Guest House was the perfect start to my Rinjani adventure. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and well cared for. The check-in was smooth, and they immediately helped me prepare for my trek with clear explanations, tips, and a genuine concern for my safety and comfort. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet — exactly what you need before taking on a challenging hike. The hot shower and air conditioning were a blessing, and the bed gave me a truly restful night’s sleep. Their restaurant serves delicious local food, and the pool with jungle views is a wonderful bonus to relax before or after trekking. What impressed me most, however, was the hospitality and thoughtfulness of the team. They made sure I had everything I needed, patiently answered all my questions, and checked that I felt confident and safe before starting the climb. I never felt like just another guest; I felt genuinely looked after. If you’re planning to trek Rinjani, I can’t recommend Rudy Trekker enough. Their warmth, professionalism, and care for both guests and the mountain make them stand out in every way.

We had a fantastic 3 nights at this homestay. Tina and her family were very hospitable and made us feel very welcome from day 1. We very much felt part of their family life. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. It gets a little colder up in the mountains during rainy season so the hot shower was very convenient. The breakfasts were also excellent. As we didn't opt to climb up Rinjani, we all hiked up pergasingan hill instead (approx 3 hours in total) which offered incredible views of Mt Rinjani and the rice terraces below. They also arranged our onward transportation to Senggigi. If you're staying in Senaru, I definitely recommend you stay at Rumah Kawan Homestay.

We stayed there for six days, and it was perfect.

We stayed there for six days, and it was perfect. We choose to travel slowly, and this was the perfect location. You can do all sorts of hikes and excursions from Rinjani Mountain Garden. At the same time, the beautiful garden, the magnificent view, and the delicious food invite you to relax and enjoy a book.
