The boss 😊 has been really helpful providing me with all the info to get from Gili T to Rinjani and arranging a tour nearby with the nicest guy I have met in Lombok, Andy! The room is spacious, comfortable and modest, but perfectly aligned with the price I've paid.

This property was authentic in design and charming. Nestled into the hillside it commanded a glorious view back to the northern coastline. I had an independent Bure. That was sizeable and comfortable with my own balcony to soak up the view

We booked to climb Rinjani, however the mountain was closed. Rooms were nice and clean, had a good night sleep. Lady who welcomes you is lovely. Great spot to book and close to waterfalls and Rinjani.

Staying at Rudy Trekker Guest House was the perfect start to my Rinjani adventure. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and well cared for. The check-in was smooth, and they immediately helped me prepare for my trek with clear explanations, tips, and a genuine concern for my safety and comfort. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet — exactly what you need before taking on a challenging hike. The hot shower and air conditioning were a blessing, and the bed gave me a truly restful night’s sleep. Their restaurant serves delicious local food, and the pool with jungle views is a wonderful bonus to relax before or after trekking. What impressed me most, however, was the hospitality and thoughtfulness of the team. They made sure I had everything I needed, patiently answered all my questions, and checked that I felt confident and safe before starting the climb. I never felt like just another guest; I felt genuinely looked after. If you’re planning to trek Rinjani, I can’t recommend Rudy Trekker enough. Their warmth, professionalism, and care for both guests and the mountain make them stand out in every way.

We had a fantastic 3 nights at this homestay. Tina and her family were very hospitable and made us feel very welcome from day 1. We very much felt part of their family life. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. It gets a little colder up in the mountains during rainy season so the hot shower was very convenient. The breakfasts were also excellent. As we didn't opt to climb up Rinjani, we all hiked up pergasingan hill instead (approx 3 hours in total) which offered incredible views of Mt Rinjani and the rice terraces below. They also arranged our onward transportation to Senggigi. If you're staying in Senaru, I definitely recommend you stay at Rumah Kawan Homestay.

We loved our stay here. The owners are some of the sweetest people we have met travelling across Asia in the past 5 months. They speak fantastic English, cook fantastic food, have a very kind and sweet family, have very cute cats and helped us book a last minute Rinjani trek! They even provided us with head lamps and gloves for the trek free of charge. The room is basic, but has everything you need. The bed is comfortable, and there is plenty of hot water. And anyone complaining when the price point is so low is frankly delusional in my opinion. This place is fantastic. Thanks for an amazing stay!
