Everything from the breakfast upon check in (we’ve never had this before), the breakfast in the pool (floating breakfast), complimentary drinks in the day with some snacks, and just the help the guys gave us with info on the island. The room was amazing, was really clean, water machine in the room (hot and cold water), tea and coffee, big smart Tv with Netflix and YouTube on, WiFi really strong and hot shower! Great island to stop off at on your trip to Bali. No cars, but as you can walk across the Island in around 20 mins not a problem. The beaches are beautiful and the water clear and warm, great for snorkelling. Loads of bars and restaurants at very reasonable prices. Can't wait go go back.
If you are looking for calm place to enjoy snorkeling or scuba diving and then chill on the beach drinking your Bintang looking on Rinjani mountain afterwards, this place is just for you. I enjoyed it since that was exactly what I needed - complete reboot after year-long NYC hustle and bustle. As for now (January 2020) the island is still recovering from the earthquake happened on August 2018 and there is not much additional activities there, but I believe that soon they will restore yoga house in the southern part and rebuild infrastructure. Regarding the food - I lived in Birumeno bungalows, they have pretty decent pizza and nice breakfast. There is also Rust restaurant right near the jetty. I would also recommend an Irish pub in the northern part of the island. Its pretty easy to get to the island by the fast boat service (I've used services of Scoot and Ekajaya companies (Ekajaya's boat is bigger). Personally I enjoyed that and would recommend for people who just need a quiet place to relax., not a party place though, you can look at Gili Trawangan, which is right next to Meno, for that. Ah... and you should bring your coral shoes as well.
A place that needs to be visited as soon as possible to add to your special tick list.An Island that is embracing the tourists who need to come back and embrace the Island. Magical place. From someone who has been to quite a few!!
Gili Meno is just the right level of liveliness if you don't want to party hard (Gili Trawangan) but would still like to go out for nice food and a couple of drinks. I particularly recommend Mahamaya for good coffee and fantastic food. There is live music eg Sasak Cafe. It's easy to cycle around with a beautiful lake in the middle. Next to the lake there is an interesting recycling project / reggae cafe called Brotherhood. The small turtle sanctuary is also worth a visit (and a donation!). It takes a bit of planning to get to as you have to go via Gili Trawangan so I recommend getting an early boat from Bali/Lombok as the last public boat from Gili T is at 4pm.
We loved that this island was small and we could walk or bike ride everywhere. The locals were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed getting to know other travellers and people that worked on the island. There was some fantastic live music at the Irish Bar (Wednesdays & Sundays) and Saturday night we went to a wonderful buffet dinner near the lake and stumbled out of there in the early hours are much singing and socialising. The vegan food at Bamboo restaurant (Siri Resort) was absolutely amazing. So vibrant, healthy, fresh and so many choices. Best of all was the beautiful reef, abundant turtles, and colourful coral and tropical fish.
Gili Meno is an amazing and quiet place that is perfect for leisure. Doesn’t have a tourist trap vibe at all, don’t have to fight through crowds or wait for waterfront tables at eateries. Gili T and air are both short public boats away. The beaches are soft and white with clear waters. And you never have to fight for a spot on the beach. Lots of people say it’s for couples and honeymooners but anyone who enjoys a slow pace, peace and quiet and values privacy would love it. Would definitely come again and would hope to stay longer!
Everything was great. The owner, Made makes you feel at home. We had a small problem with the aircon, but they were able to fix it very quickly. The atmosphere is really nice, the pool, the garden. Breakfast is really good, best bread in all our trip in Indonesia and Malaysia. the have a quite selection of eggs, or pancakes plus fruits. it was really good. I really loved the bathroom! Super comfy. great that they provide refillable water, shampoo/conditioner! good for the planet to avoid extra plastic.
Personal was the best we ever met at Indonesia, always willing to help you and available to make your stay as much comfortable as possible. We are very thankful to Dedé because he made our stay much more better. Sunset view and the enviroment at the bungalows to watch it it’s wonderful and enriching. Beachfront breakfast simply breathtaking. Omelette is 10/10, and we are omelette lovers!
Biru Meno very well represents the whole atmosphere of this smaller island. A simple quiet relaxing place. We were lucky to get the cottage closest to the shore - the sea almost reaches the windows in the morning(no flood alert, 😉). Beautiful view from you’re bed when you wake up.
The Location is perfect, close to everything and quiet. The place is amazing and the staff is great. Gili Meno is perfect if you looking for peace, and for us is the best of the three Gilis: beautiful snorkeling, good restaurant, nice village, white sands and a lot of silence.
Beautiful location right on the beach and in front of the area where the turtles swim. The staff were generally helpful and friendly. The rooms were attractively decorated with a blue and white theme throughout the resort. The swimming pool was an excellent size.
Best food and staff on Gili Meno. Thank you 🙏🙏
Our stay here was heavenly! Such a beautiful room in a beautiful setting with an unreal private pool - we were very lucky to have the bungalow in the corner which got so much sun and made leaving our little area very hard! Everything in the room and the outdoors was super! Would love to stay there permanently!!
The location was great. Close the the main beach. Very quiet. Big bathroom. Comfortable beds. Small pool was perfect for our kids. Simple, good breakfast. Helpful staff.
