Another 5 star review for Jou Suba. We stayed 4 nights at Jou Suba and had a magical time there. The island of Yefkabu is quite small, takes about 30 mins to walk around the island on white sandy beaches. Would recommend this walk, also there is a short trail going to the other side of the island from Jou Suba to see the sunsets. The house reef in front of the homestay is OK. We took a day trip to snorkel at Tamaku Reef, Big Yefnabi, Yeftip and Yeben Island. These reefs were all spectacular, especially Tamaku Reef, which I thought was the best snorkelling spot in Raja Ampat. There were no other longboats or people at these reefs when we were there, so you get the whole place to explore to yourself. Aljui Bay and Wayag were still closed to tourism during our stay. Ferdinand was super easy to deal with and responds quickly to all communications. He speaks fluent English and was very knowledgeable about other places to visit in Raja Ampat. The bungalows were spacious and well provisioned. The power was on all night. He has Starlink at the homestay so cracking internet speeds mostly 24/7. The food was superb, every meal had good portions and variety. I arranged my boat transfers to and from Jou Suba with Ferdinand and everything went to plan. I would highly recommend visiting this more remote area of Minyafuin in Raja Ampat and would rate Jou Suba as the best homestay option there.
