Thank you Mr. Adi, for making our stay unforgettable. We promised to come back on the way up North and we will! This is a beautiful garden in a tropical forest with super comfortable and special villas and rooms. Great service, spirit and atmosphere. Highly decorated space, double infinity pool, private pools and bathtubs outside. *High pressure hot water* in the shower, wonderful breakfast and stunning view to the forest, hills, and rice fields. You can walk around and enjoy the scenery, learn by looking, and literally touch the rice grains and baby pine apples. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! Waking up in the middle of the rice fields is just one of the best things one can do. The surrounding environment is quiet and serene. Friendly staff and I quite enjoyed the food there too - simple, but nice. Suitable for those who wants to stay slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud, which isn't too far away anyway.

+ - Beautiful place - Amazing surroundings. - Friendly staff - Good food - Spacious rooms - - Little flaws in the room (airco and fan not working properly) - Little bit overpriced (laundry service, taxi service) - Staff should put out cushions by the pool when pool opens (we had to ask after being there for 2 hours) - The charge of 10% service fee on everything really bothered us.
The area is spectacularly beautiful however it cops a lot of rain and there can be land slides which cut road access. Our hotel (Adiwana Dara Ayu Villas) was a long way from other properties, so eating options (hotels, restaurants, local warungs) were non existent and sadly as the food in our hotel was abysmal (even the Indonesian was done badly) we skipped eating meals which diminished the pleasure of the holiday.
It is a relaxing place you can enjoy the rice terraces and crops around with this mystic that you can feel visiting the temples. Also, you can find many options to enjoy a relaxing bath in a waterfall.
I truly enjoyed walking the two of us through the village. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The natural view on the side of the road was a great way to Relax and enjoy your quality time for.
Gorgeous landscapes in this part of Bali are worth to stay in Payangan for those who enjoy beautiful walks in a peaceful, generous nature. We took most of our meals in the top quality Awan Biru Villas restaurant, but we also recommend to try the tasty food of the local small warungs. Good news : Payangan is just at a half an hour distance by car from Ubud.

this exceeded all expectations. I don’t think we have slept this peacefully in our whole lifetime. The staff are so beautifully accommodating and the area is bliss. It is not close to Ubud centre but, for us, we preferred the serenity of 5 days in this beautiful landscape. Yuni, a driver who took us around when needed was amazing. The breakfast was lovely and we could not have asked for a better experience as our first one in Bali. If you want quiet nature and a place to reset, this is it.
Simple and lovely homestay in the rice paddies north of Ubud. The facilities are very basic, but the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. What really made our time here, however, was the incredible hospitality of Wayan and his family. He made us feel at home and helped us with advice, letting us borrow sarongs to visit the temples, renting a scooter, last minute dinner on a rainy day, transport to Lombok, etc. All of this for a very affordable price. An absolute gem.
