Located in the tranquil area of Ubud, Senetan Villas and Spa Resort offers a wonderful retreat villa featuring private outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi access. Awesome staff. They are humble and always eager to serve you with a smile. Stayed at 1 bed room villa with our 10 yr old son. The pool was good , linen and toilets clean. Welcome foot massage was refreshing and the free body massage was relaxing as well. Food was good, quantity was plenty ( if you order for 2 , may be 3 can have ). Bfast and evening tea complimentary- very good. Free shuttle services to Ubud Center can be used for visiting Palace , Saraswati temple , monkey forest and ridge walk all around Ubud Center. Off beat from Center but worth it for the serene and calm location. We loved it here and we will be back

Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Padi Bali Eco Villas offers accommodations in Payangan, 3.1 mi from Elephant Safari Park. Free private parking is available on site. Wife's favorite hotel of the trip due to its design and the serenity it offered. Not much to do in the area, and a 20 min motorbike ride to Ubud, about half that to Tegalang Rice Terraces. Nice to just stroll through the rice fields or lie on your bed and enjoy the 180 degree view from the floor to ceiling windows offered on three sides of the room. Bathroom, especially the shower was an incredible experience! Free shuttlebus offered into town once a day. Lovely staff.

It is a relaxing place you can enjoy the rice terraces and crops around with this mystic that you can feel visiting the temples. Also, you can find many options to enjoy a relaxing bath in a waterfall.
I truly enjoyed walking the two of us through the village. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The natural view on the side of the road was a great way to Relax and enjoy your quality time for.
Gorgeous landscapes in this part of Bali are worth to stay in Payangan for those who enjoy beautiful walks in a peaceful, generous nature. We took most of our meals in the top quality Awan Biru Villas restaurant, but we also recommend to try the tasty food of the local small warungs. Good news : Payangan is just at a half an hour distance by car from Ubud.
Far enough away from the main town ubud so you can really relax with beautiful surroundings but not so far away that it's too hard to get to attractions. Ubud the main closest town is about 25min drive away. Main activities around the area are visiting the rice fields, white water rafting, spa treatments and visiting the markets and temples in ubud.
Payangan is just out of Ubud and I'd recommended to hire a scooter for 50,000 rupiah ($5 aus) per day as this is far cheaper then taxis and a much nicer way to travel around and see the local culture. My partner and I got an international license and had no issues with police. You must all take a trip to Warung Bintang Bali on JL Tirta Tarwa (in ubud)! Cheap food, great food, cold beer, live music and a laid back atmosphere!
The area is the real Bali and Bali ese culture. Get away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta Legian etc and experience the culture, countryside and hospitality of the real Balinese people. If you're looking for shopping malls and party discos this is not the place, needless to say you can find beautiful clothes, shoes, arts and crafts in both the markets as well as quaint little boutique stores. Very easy to get around (most resorts shuttle you into ubud town as it's too far to walk) once in the main town area. An endless supply of restaurants catering for healthy eating, vegan, western, Asian, fusion.

The view was amazing. Beyond anything I’ve ever seen before. Also the pool area was clean, beautiful and peaceful without any loud music pumping through the boxes (as you see in so many infinity pools now)
