Located in Payangan, 10 miles from Elephant Safari Park, Step Ubud Training Hotel features views of the garden. Excellent ambience, service, cleanliness, on time service, nice operational manager. Got nice vegetarian English breakfast. Spacious room which was equipped with comfortable bed, kettle, drinking water with wardrobes. Bathroom had set of towels with hot water facilities.
Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Padi Bali Eco Villas offers accommodations in Payangan, 3.1 mi from Elephant Safari Park. Free private parking is available on site. Wife's favorite hotel of the trip due to its design and the serenity it offered. Not much to do in the area, and a 20 min motorbike ride to Ubud, about half that to Tegalang Rice Terraces. Nice to just stroll through the rice fields or lie on your bed and enjoy the 180 degree view from the floor to ceiling windows offered on three sides of the room. Bathroom, especially the shower was an incredible experience! Free shuttlebus offered into town once a day. Lovely staff.

Ayung Resort Ubud offers a tropical retreat with free yoga classes and an outdoor pool surrounded by lush greenery. Hotel territory is absolutely breathtaking! It feels like you're in Indiana Jones movie, walking through lush vegetation. The food is great. We spent our anniversary there and felt really special. We think that location of this hotel is the best in Ubud, stunning views of the river look even surreal. All staff members are extremely friendly and helpful. Lost paradise found. sad to leave.

Excellent place for retreat and revitalizing yourself ,especially who love peaceful rain forrest scenery or interesting in Balinese culture. Don't forget to make a reservation at Locavore restaurant near Ubud market at least a month in advance others like Hujan Locale or Uma Cucina are also good.
I must say this resort is totally beautiful and even more is the hospitality provided by the Guest Relation Manager Iwan. While he was there, we didn’t feel like we were some hotel guest, he makes you feel like his family member and takes awesome care of the guests. We felt we were living in our relatives house. Iwan – The Guest Relation Manager While he was there when we were staying, there wasn’t a single issue I could bring up. Everything was sorted. But the day he was on another assignment in another resort, felt the staffs were doing their own thing. I felt the difference of Iwan’s leadership. He was getting things done and in control. Location: although the resort is a bit far-off from the city center, the resort runs shuttle bus 3 times a day which was a blessing. The waterfall the resort has is just beautiful. Take a book there to read and a towel to sit on. But mind you need to go down 200 steps and same way up and the steps and knee high length. Food is a bit over-priced and kinda ok. I would prefer eating outside. Their breakfast is amazing specially their awesome coffee. Taxi from airport you must negotiate, during noon they will agree for 400k and night 500k For your return to airport, I suggest you negotiate with other taxi drivers you use during your trip. Points to keep in mind: - Resort never had change or any kind of money ever. - The locker in room is useless, no matter what code you insert to lock, it opens with same code printed on their instructions. - Rooms from 6-18 have good views. 1-5 views will give you other room’s top. Though good views come with few extra steps. - Its not wheelchair friendly. If you have any questions, I will try to answer. Stayed there 4 nights.
Favourite spots: Monkey Forest (definitely a must see). Transportation: Try to look for someone with a sign that says "Friendly Taxi" (should be in front of Starbucks). We were with an amazing guy named Madé (which means 2nd born - so I'm not sure what his full name was). We used him to drive us around, he took us on tours and drove us around for a small flat fee a day (40-50$ for 8 hours). Restaurants: Fair Warung Balé (ranked #5 on Trip Advisor, great food, great cause). Ubud Inn, live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Spa: There are so many spas in the area, and I only had the pleasure of trying 4, during my short stay there, but Goutama Spa is by far the best one. If you like a strong massage, ask for Widi (pronounced "wee dee"). Cheapest price, for the skill of massage that you get.
Wayan and his family were so helpful. They welcomed us into thier family and even let us participate in cooking dinner and eating with them. He speaks very good English and invited us into his family temple and explained the process of their rituals. They helped us to rent scooters and when we had an accident, they worked really hard to help us sort it out and come up with a good solution. They were so sweet and genuine ,and their property was perfect for a taste of authentic Bali family life.

Beautiful location and AMAZING staff!! Even after trying many restaurants in Bali this resort had amazing food, breakfast, lunch and dinner compared to many places we ate. The staff caters to anything you need is more than happy all the time. Our beautiful villa overlooked the Agung river on which we had a blast water rafting on. Pretty much everything you would like to do outside of the resort can be booked with the help of the front desk driver included. %100 rating in my book!!

The view is stunning, rice terraces just in front of my bedroom door! Love the infinity pool. Located about 30 mins driving from Ubud, the place is very suitable for those who want to escape from hustle and bustle of the big city. I booked the honeymoon package, love the lunch and dinner! They serve lots of food! The lunch was on the middle of rice field, and the candle light dinner was fantastic. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Definitely come back to this place.

When we arrived at the property we were greeted with a foot massage then taken to our villa by buggy. The villa was well maintained and spacious and had a pool with a great view. Now a couple of things went wrong on our first night but were dealt with and compensated accordingly. As I always say “Things can go wrong but it’s how you make them right that’s important”. This hotel returned my faith in customer service. This place is a must if your staying in the Ubud.

We stayed for 4 night. The hotel was over quite a spacious lot of land, Rooms were big and comfortable, and breakfast was very good. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Swimming pool has a good view on "jungle", we really appreciate that, especially for sunset. The infinity pool (the one in the back) is just beautiful. The view is amazing. You can just stay there with that view for days. We Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

- Marvelous view of the pool, do not come here in the busy season so you can enjoy the whole pool yourself :)) - Breakfast is excellent, too much for an individual to eat all. - Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Make sure that you leave here with their drivers, I have to say villagers here are with irrespective incomes, so it's good way to help them as well Definitely stay here for my next trip to Ubud.

the balinese staff were just amazing, professional & very friendly, including Spa therapists. highly recommend you do the morning walk into the local village with guide & venture out into the village, the locals are beautiful people, very welcoming and things are much cheaper than at resort, eg beers/drinks/food

The views are breathtaking!!! No picture can justify the beauty of this place. Staff were very polite and welcoming. The villas are very comfortable altough abit open for insects but we had no issues with that. One of the best bali experience! Thank you

You MUST love nature to want to stay there. They are not kidding when they names the hotel a jungle resort. It's 30-40 minutes away from the Centre of Ubud and so is the perfect location if you are an early to bed person.
