Beautiful stay in a suggestive structure surrounded by nature. Very clean facility. We were welcomed by a very welcoming family, very willing to meet our needs. The host Pedro was able to give us excellent suggestions for our travels, even outside Waisai, speaking the English language very well. Excellent view, excellent structure in the traditional context of Papua, we celebrated the birthday as if we were at home, and prepared the typical traditional dish with the hosts: Papeda! Highly recommended, we will be back!

10 out of 10 for this excellent guesthouse. It's actually so much more than a guesthouse, the owner created a really enjoyable community. She will actually help you plan trips and is ever so helpful. I met some amazing fellow travellers here. The rooms are spread over two buildings. They are clean and comfortable. Highly recommended

Best thing about Rifalda is the owner, Tonno (I hope I spell that correctly). When we needed a scooter, he drove me to a rental and got me a discount. When we wanted to go birdwatching, he arranged two trips for us where we saw both birds of paradise. When one of the guides was not able to pick us up, Tonno got up at 05:00 AM to show us the way. Thank you Tonno, you were amazing! Next to this we had the pleasure to stay in the last house next to the mangrove. From our porch we saw many amazing tropical birds pass by like parrots and kingfishers and you can enjoy the sound of chirping prettty much all day.

It's enough of what I needed. Friendly people, 2 separate rooms with one a bed, one a couch. Close to the local market. Perfect stay for 2 people. Don't expect too much luxury but price matches

Fantastic stay! Comfortable and clean rooms, bedding and en-suites. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of food options and fully stocked pool bar was great. Really nice pool to laze around and they even help with motorcycle hire to explore the surrounding area with suggestions for sightseeing and nice local restaurants. Ride to Blue river is a must!

Totally AMAZING stay! The accommodation, facilities and service was uncomparable to the other homestays (we tried 5 during our trip to Raja Ampaat). The price for both accomodation and excursions are 2-3 times more expensive than other homestays, but the experience was absolutely worth it! So if you have the budget, we definitely recommend it. The bungalow had an amazing view, it’s own toilet and regular shower with warm water (normal standard here at Raja Ampaat is shared toilet and cold bucket showers). The bed was great and you had a fan. Electricity and wifi 24/7. The only downside we could find was that the bungalow is covered to provide shadow so if you want to get a tan, you need to go to the pier (which we did and enjoyed!). The house reef was amazing and we saw lot of corals, fishes, turtles, sharks and in the area it was possible to see dugongs. We saw whales on the way back to Waisai from their place. The food was delicious, perfect combinations of western and indonesian food. Breakfast served as à la carte at the bungalow, and lunch and dinner served in the restaurant (three courses for both lunch and dinner!). The staff and the owner was very serviceminded and went the extra mile of trying to find both dugongs and cuscus for us in the nearby area. The owner is from Holland so the communcation was both good and fast, which made us feel very safe and informed. We could borrow snorkeling gear for free and they also arranged lunch on the departure day which was highly appreciated. We definitely recommend this place to everyone and we would love to come back one day!

This is a great place to stay. It is on a hill with a beautiful view over Waisai. It is run by a very kind and friendly Papuan family, who can set up activities and transportation for you. They also rent scooters very cheaply. My room was large, with a very comfortable bed.
