Featuring a restaurant and an outdoor pool, Rinjani Lodge is located 0.6 mi away from Rinjani National Park and the traditional Sasak Village of Dusun Senari. As per title, stay here just for the infinity pool and the views that look out to mount Rinjani and rice fields, stunning. Rooms are comfortable and roomy. Staff are great and the food is very good. Also located right next to the waterfalls, 1 minute walk to the entrance.
Set in Senaru, 28 mi from Senggigi, Pondok Guru Bakti Cottage offers a garden and free WiFi. A balcony with garden views is offered in each unit. I really, really enjoyed my time at Pondok Guru Bakti Cottage! I am a solo female traveler, and felt comfortable and like I was at home. I especially enjoyed the incredible view of Mount Rinjani, where I watched the sunset each evening I was there. Incredible value, I recommend!
Dragonfly Senaru Lodge in Senaru provides adults-only accommodations with a restaurant, a garden and a terrace. The accommodations offers evening entertainment and room service. Simple room with fabulous view. Great restaurant next door, with yummy spicy curry - recommended.
Set in Senaru, Rinjani Lighthouse features a restaurant, garden, terrace, and free WiFi. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. At the inn, all rooms are fitted with a patio. Arriving at RInjani Lighthouse is like arriving at an oasis. Driving from the port having stayed on Gili Air, up through Senaru, it is obvious that much of the area is still recovering from the earthquake, with a lot of construction happening and the rubble left in the wake of last year still evident. Rinjani Lighthouse is a few hundred metres from the centre of Senaru and sits a bit higher than the rest of the town meaning the views are stunning. Set in a tranquil garden, our room felt like a treehouse! An incredibly comfy night's sleep in a huge kingsize bed left us feeling very well rested and we awoke to a DELICIOUS breakfast. Daniel the manager in charge is wonderful and couldn't have been more helpful, organising a Panorama tour for us with a fantastic women's guiding organisation in the area that serves to empower local women with an income and agency of their own, which we were very happy to support and highly recommend. We visited the stunning waterfalls as well as the local village and were treated to a delicious lunch of all the Indonesian delights!
With garden views, Ila Homestay is located in Senaru and has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The host and his wife are a true sample of geniune hospitality, rooms and shower are spacious, nice patio and tasty breakfast. Location is great, not far from the waterfall. I highly recommend this place and also the rinjani trekking offer, best price/quality comparing to the other agencies.
Located in Senaru, 30 mi from Tiu Teja Waterfall, Rinjani Houseboon offers accommodations with a terrace and free private parking. Great location, great host, great rooms, great view ! The sunrise view is superb and waterfalls are just down the rooms. We felt like at home, thanks for everything :)
Located 22 mi from Tiu Teja Waterfall, Bukit Senaru Homestay features accommodations with a bar, a garden and a 24-hour front desk for your convenience. At first the homestay has a really good location, it's close to the waterfall and you can start your hike to Rinjani from there. All the guys of the staff were so nice. They help you wherever and whenever they can. It's a basic room, very clean and with a comfortable bed. I'd stay here again and can recommend it 100%. Thanks for everything :)
Set 22 mi from Tiu Teja Waterfall, Embun Rinjani Homestay offers accommodations with a restaurant, a garden and a 24-hour front desk for your convenience. Bedroom was clean and spacious, bed was comfy, and the bathroom is big and not to mention they have a hot shower as well! The hosts were very kind and welcoming and tried their best to accommodate us as best as they could!
Two waterfalls close walking distance were nice. Quiet atmosphere. Good spot for Rinjani, although it was closed due to rainy season while we were there. DID not like transportation costs. Expensive to get to and expensive to leave (350000Rp) as they only provide a private car, no option to shuttle with other tourists (because why would they offer ride sharing, cheaper tickets and less road pollution?). The one hour ride to the Port for Gili’s cost more then 3 nights accommodation including breakfast.. doesn’t make sense but when it’s the only option...
If you intend to do a trek to the Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls and to Mt Rinjani, it is nice to stay here. I loved the view of the mountain and the rice fields. The place is also not very developed so you are actually getting away from the hustle and bustle of a city. There are a few cafes and restaurants attached to hotels which you could get western style food. Otherwise, there is nothing much to do in the town itself.
There is a nice waterfall a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Otherwise, Senaru seems to be a town set up purely for the mount rinjani trekkers, so I wouldn't recommend staying here for any other reason apart from basing yourself here before the trek.
If you want to go for hiking you need at least 4/5 days. If you go for less than one day is enough, in this view we stayed too long because we spent 2 night there and in the middle of the second day there was nothing left to do but enjoying the hotel (that was not bad anyway)
If you like traveling more locally and away from tourists, this is the place. The staff are very welcoming to tourists to join them for meals or guitar playing, or tea. It is up in the mountains with gorgeous views.
Senaru is still a relatively unspoilt Lombok town, and the main 'base camp' for treks up the mighty Rinjaru. A wide selection of eateries, with those on the north side of the road overlooking a jungle gorge. In the town the waterfalls are worth a look as well. Most people only stay the night before their trek, and then leave the mountain following. I stayed three nights and its worth it if you have some nice accommodation to shower, rest and recover from your trek. Well worth a look and a stay.
