The hosts are wonderful, so helpfu to organise guided trips(very professional)l, a driver, a motorbike or a bus trip to Makassar. Breakfasts very tasty and different every day. The rooms are clean, most with the view on the mountains Perfect view from the rooftop on Rampetao and the area. Really nice place and owners.

If you want to discover the Toraja culture, look no further. No book nor improvised guide will be able to explain you such a complex culture in details. Hendrik (the owner) organized everything for us, being a Toraja himself, he took us on a tour of the traditional villages, while giving us tons of information about their rituals, beliefs, and social structure. We've also been lucky enough to witness a traditional Toraja funeral, an experience I'll never forget. This has been the most interesting (and true) experience we had during the entire trip in Indonesia, no tourist traps, no fake shows mocking Indonesian traditions. For a brief moment, we've been part of an ancient and beautiful culture, wish i could have stayed longer. Recommended 10/10

We stayed 3 nights at Pairi's Homestay. It is a beautiful place a bit north of Rantepao. Onya, our host, helped us with organizing bicycles and answered every question we had. Very kind family! There is a simple but good breakfast included. Also there is water, tee and coffee available all day. From the veranda you have a look at the traditional buildings of the family. We can recommend renting bikes for the time of your stay at Rantepao, especially Pairi's Family Homestay. So you are very flexible in where and when you want to go somewhere in the area. The location is perfect, it's like a small green village inside a city, which is a quick and easy walk to the main square, good places to eat, and all the good cafes. The rooms are wonderful and have good hot water, very comfortable beds, are impeccably clean, and super spacious. The owners are so lovely and they make great breakfast. Considering how great it's way underpriced and great value.

This place was already very nice to stay in- good rooms, great design, great breakfast and service. But what exceeded our expectations very much was when we got sick. We were taken care off so well, contacting dokter, adjusting food so we could eat a little bit, the caring words... We are so very thankful to the staff.
