The Ashbourne House Hotel is a 15-minute drive from Dublin Airport and the beach at Balbriggan. It offers individually designed rooms, free parking and an award-winning fine-dining restaurant. The room was lovely and clean the bed was very comfy and the free Wi-Fi was a bonus
Delphi Lodge is located in Donaghmore. This self-catered apartment has a garden, grill facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. The owner Valerie, was extremely helpful and the cleaner was an angel she even helped us book a local cab to save some money
Carefully restored to retain the character of the original Roganstown House, this is a magnificent Georgian house on the 300-acre Roganstown Estate. It features an AA Rosette award-winning restaurant.... The breakfast was tremendous...spot on! Hot buffet, cold buffet...many items. Made us completely nostalgic for our previous times in Ireland and in the UK. Loved the smoothies...never seen this before. Everything delicious!
Offering garden views, Heyward Mews Holiday Homes is a property located in Swords, 5 miles from Dublin North Suburb and 3.5 miles from Swords Castle. John and Barbara are excellent hosts. House is spacious and clean. Great for families. Roganstown Hotel is just across the street, with leisure facilities (swimming pool, sauna, gym)
Owner and staffs polite, except when it comes for personal belongings being went through without knowledge or consent, stolen things from you. Unexpected credit card withdrawel. No real help except on your own to report to authorities.
I love the lay out of the town. All new developments didn’t interfere with the character of the original town. The people are very warm and friendly, and the service in shops and restaurants is exceedingly good.
It was so easy to get about without having to drive, and everything was close by and within short walking distance, fro hotel, for a couple like us in our seventies, with a slightly disabled husband,it was right choice,
There was a disco in the hotel's bar the Friday evening and the music played till 1.30 am. A crowd of young people on our floor came from the disco and kept us from sleeping till 4.00 am the morning. Despite that we did not sleep at all due to this, it is a lovely hotel, clean, friendly and helpful staff and lovely food in the bar.
The hotel room was wonderfully spacious and centrally located with banks, a supermarket, a pastry shop and public transportation all within minimal walking distance. The restaurant on the premises offered comfort food at reasonable prices but the internet was very "iffy" every where else but the restaurant. We had to stand in the right corner of the hotel room to get a bit of connection. The room did not come with air conditioning but a fan was provided. The bathroom was the size of our hotel room in London...Fabulous! The local 103 bus conveniently ran right in front of the hotel and took us all the way into central Dublin. It was ideal after we figured it all out. It would have been so much easier had the hotel concierge offered such information on day one. None the less, this was a great place to stay because it was cost effective with efficient public transportation into Dublin as well as to the airport starting at around 3 am.
It was clean and had a bus stop very near to the hotel to take you to Dublin city centre. The wifi was not working and the receptionist Julia was very rude with us when we had a misunderstanding with the pricing, she had a bad attitude when explaining us instead of being kind and helpful as you should treat clients.

The room was clean and spacious and there was plenty of parking space at the hotel. The bar was quite busy all day, and there were a lot of locals in to enjoy the sports & live music later in the evening. Bar food was reasonably priced, and plentiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel to other bars and restaurants in town was good, as was the close proximity to Tayto Park nearby.
