Travelodge Dublin Phenix Park is located in Castleknock, just off junction 6 of the M50 Motorway, next to the Phenix Park Train Station. I like the fact that it was good value for money and the receptionist Alana was very professional and very nice plus respectful
Offering an 18-hole golf course and a restaurant, The Castleknock Hotel is 15 minutes’ drive from Dublin city center, and 3.7 mi from Phenix Park. Dublin Airport is 25-minutes' drive away. The Breakfast was great! Clean room, environment was clean! I'm definitely ganna come back!
Excellent value for money. This is a no "no frills" hotel. What do you expect for €70 per night? It was clean well maintained and had comfortable beds. Our room Had a double and a single bed so could easily have slept 3 people. It has good location just off the M50. a 20 minute drive to the city centre, very close to Pheonix Park for a morning stroll plenty of free parking. When We go places we have little interest in the hotel itself and just want a place to rest our heads so we don't need all the extra frills that we pay for in some hotels. This place suited our needs perfectly.
Staff super friendly and very helpful. Bed was clean and very comfy especially the pillows, bathroom clean. No complaints Standard tea & coffee facilties New TVs had hmdi ports and USB charger socket on both sides of the bed Free WiFi great coverage
Great location, great transportation options, 30 minutes away from downtown using public bus, safe area at any time even night, quiet place. Reception staff need more hotel and service skills. Breakfast not included with room. Bathroom was ok, clean, nice. US standard hotel, this is good in comparison with the regular European standards for hostels and some hotels.
The hotel is convenient to the airport. It also accepts dogs - important for us. It is very basic, with low cost, so it is unfair to judge it too harshly. Receptionist, Pedro, was excellent, much above the standard we expected. Café breakfast was a disappointment, apparently due to chef not turning up! We hadn't time to finish, due to early flight schedule. Room & bed were adequate, but carpets in room and corridor need cleaning/replacement! Access to motorway and airport - convenient. Overall, practical, no-frills, economical.
The 20 minute walk from the Travelodge into Castleknock village is pleasent with a fine pub, De Brun's, and other shopping amenities in the same place it's perfect for a spot of dinner and your essentials. The bus stop into Dublin is just a few minutes walk away and the circle K garage a little further on has a cash point. Good location for popping into the city and a taxi back was under 20 euros.
Castleknock had a real relaxed, safe village feel to it but all the amenities were right on your doorstep. There were a wide variety of restaurants and eateries with a supermarket and pharmacy. Bus links to the city centre were good and frequent and Phoenix park and the Blanchardtown shopping Mall were both short walks away. it had a real country feel without being isolated. Great place to stay.
Nice location, friendly staff. Rooms were comfy. Food in the restaurant is very tasty.
