This was the perfect stop as we made our way west through Ireland. The place had everything we needed—very comfy, well-equipped, and a great spot to rest and recharge along the journey. Plenty of space to relax. We couldn’t have asked for a better stopover. Highly recommend!

Darren was really welcoming and happy to share tips and recommendations. He was just a top bloke really and it was great sharing a pint with him at the pub. We really enjoyed our short stay.

After a long day of traveling, it was wonderful to stop and stay the night here. Our room was well kept and the hotel was only a short walk to the town center.

On the banks of the River Shannon, Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone is located in the town center, overlooking the historic Athlone Castle. The hotel has a modern leisure club and stylish restaurant.

We arrived earlier than expected; however the staff did work to ensure one of our family room reservation was available before official check-in time. It made it easier to ensure the children could rest for a brief time while we waited for our second room. The breakfast buffet was a surprise! We were very impressed with the variety of food and value. Our family also enjoyed the indoor pool and fitness center. Although we stayed only one night, it was an excellent way to end our vacation.

Large rooms, clean, ample parking, very much a typical large commercial hotel. Everything was just fine, nothing stood out. As the immediate area is somewhat industrial, there are services like gas/food options right outside the door, but no restaurants, except the hotel (which I did not use).

Ideally located in the center of Athlone, The The Prince Rooms is a modern room only property that was recreated with one clear idea: give guests everything they need, and nothing they don’t.

Lovely spot with fabulous hosts, Avril and Neil. Easy stroll to the town, very comfy sleep and wonderful selection of breakfast goodies. Felt like home from home.
