When I say the price didn’t match my expectation its because it surpassed them. This was a lovely family environment when wonderful breakfast included. Great helpful people who really were there to make sure you had everything you needed and willing to give suggestions on things to see and do while there.

The bedroom was plain but looked out on the sea. We couldn't have been happier staying there. The staff and the restaurant were truly superb. And I'm saying this as someone that can be rather critical. Those people were all about hospitality to Nth degree.

Michaela was a wonderful host. From the time that we walked into her home, the welcome was warm and welcoming. She provided many suggestions for us to consider for our visit. The amenities that were made available for personal use were thoughtful and generous because in other bed and breakfast experiences that we've had, coffee, tea and a cookie are in the room but Michaela provided so many different options for the traveler's comfort. There was even a tiny refrigerator to keep a few small items from our journey. Breakfast was AMAZING with options for a full Irish Breakfast to a simple cereal, fruit and yogurt option. Travelers beware.... Michaela provided specific directions for how to arrive at Sunrise View. Do NOT follow the google route which is a bumpy, pot-holed road. We wished that we would have followed Michaela's instructions. I highly recommend Sunrise View for a journey's rest. Thank you, Micheala, for a wonderful stay.

Located within Ballina made town very accessible. Parking available. Staff friendly.
This beautiful and historic castle is set within 1,000 acres of woodland. On the banks of the River Moy, it features a restaurant made from the remains of a 17th-century Spanish galleon.
Located in Ballina's main street, Hallahan's is just yards from the River Moy, known for its salmon fishing. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the building.

Killala is a lovely place. The town is very clean and tidy.
Killala is a lovely place. The town is very clean and tidy. The people are charming, very friendly and helpful. There are good places to eat and drink. I went into a pub just before closing on the Sunday evening of a Bank Holiday weekend for food and it was no problem at all. There are several beautiful beaches not far from Killala. There are 2 easy walks in and around the town, along the quay and a greenway, part of which goes past a local horse racing yard. The scenery is striking and it is a place of historical interest too.

Historical village (cathedral, round tower) and a great base for exploring the area. Ross Strand beach is only a few minutes drive away. Lovely offroad walk around village (follow greenway signs) and can follow road back towards village and down to the quay. Only 10 minutes from Ballina which has big selection of shops and supermarkets if you need to stock up.

Killala is a quiet but beautiful village with easy (10 mins by car) access to Ballina which has full shopping facilities etc. Having said that the village itself has everything you need with a pub which serves great food, a small Centra supermarket, a sweet shop & a fantastic cafe (On the Way Cafe) with scones to die for! A car is a must as there are some lovely spots nearby. Kilcummin Beach (15 mins by car) is a stunning deserted beach for a long walk or a boogie board or surfing session. Enniscrone beach is 30 mins away by car & again is a stunning beach to walk or have a surf lesson on (surf boards for hire too). There are plenty of beautiful walks near Killala. Part of the Atlantic Way can be accessed from Killala village or visit the woods at Beleek Castle or further afield enjoy a short river walk
in picturesque Easky or the stunning Aughris Head cliff walk. Make sure you visit the Downpatrick sea stack - a gem. Although an hour away by car, Mountain bikers will enjoy the trails at Union Wood.
