Standing at the head of Cashel Bay, this hotel is set in 50 acres of award-winning gardens and woodlands. Cashel House offers luxurious bedrooms, fine dining and a private beach. Amazing location - We felt like the duchess and the duke of Ireland. Great Dinner! Even better breakfast! Perfect staff!
Cottage 216 - Roundstone, a property with a garden, is located in Roundstone, 10 miles from Alcock & Brown Memorial, 23 miles from Kylemore Abbey, as well as 21 miles from Maam Cross. It is on an island in Ireland. the view was lovely. The peat fire was great. Excellent meals to be had in Roundstone.
Roundstone has maintained its laid back appeal over the 50+ years I have been going there. it never fails. The various bars and eating places are all of a very high standard. the local beaches are probably the finest in the world and the surrounding countryside is stunning.
Roundstone is a small, pretty place so with not much to offer for longer stays. The location of the hotel a short distance from Roundstone was ideal for guaranteed peace and quiet. We found our three night stay was just enough to cover the area, including Clifden, the Sky Road, Kylemore Abbey & Gardens, Kilary Fjiord/Cruise. Because of Covid restrictions we opted to eat in the Hotel each evening. The food was excellent.
A pleasant and pretty village, although rather over packed by visitors, of which we of course were a part! The pottery shop at the far end of the village has some lovely products, and the potter a most delightful, friendly and pleasant man.
Roundstone is a nice size of a town with a small harbour, a few shops, restaurants and pubs. Nice beaches close by, in walking distance and a good pottery store at the old monastery. It is quiet a reserved location to visit and the people are very friendly.
Roundstone is a hidden gem on the coast of connemara. A small town on the foot of the connemara national park with stunning views, beaches and some very good pubs, restaurants and coffee shops (bogbeans brownies are devine )
Could happily have stayed a week instead of two days. Scenic, peaceful with lovely beaches (gurteen and dogsbay) The bog bean cafe had amazing coffee, scones and the staff were superb and so friendly. We are already planning a return visit, for longer this time.
We enjoyed our one night stay in Cashel House Hotel. The surrounding grounds, gardens and hidden walkways were a lovely added extra. Staff were extremely helpful and it also has the added bonus for us of being pet friendly. Breakfast and dinner were very good and served in the lovely bright conservatory. We had a choice of several sitting areas, library etc post dinner with lovely open fires. Check in and checkout was efficient. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely place full of history. Couple minute walk to Roundstone. Richard is a very pleasant host. Perfect stay in beautiful west Ireland. Go and eat at O'Dowds pub down the road or get the best toasted sandwich from the Good Stuff food truck down by the water. You won't regret it.
Best location in Roundstone! Beautiful views of mountain, sea and harbour from the front door. Helpful owners. Comfortable house, including the beds. Well equipped kitchen. Liked everything, really. Connemara is so beautiful and the roads are excellent!
Excellent location right in the middle of Roundstone with a gorgeous view of the harbour. The apartment was spacious, stylish and super clean. Well equipped kitchen, washer, dryer and hair dryer. Right beside the shop, café and pubs of the town.
