The pool on sight was warm and clean. The room was huge and very clean. We really loved the balcony and getting to eat all meals from the balcony.

And i can't finish without a word on the absolutely amazing ayurveda massage. It is so energyser and feeling as ligth as a bubble. Probably the most emotional massage i ever had ! Avoid the city center if possible, and find a homestay located in the outskirts/backwaters to make the most of tranquility and beauty of this region. Do take an organized canoe or boat tour, but also give yourself some time to walk around/explore the backwaters by yourself...government ferries run often and can bring you to boat jetties at different locations around the Alleppey backwaters...Kainakary, Kavalam, Thattasserry. Rajapuram Toddy Parlour, located next to a government boat jetty in Kavalam, is an especially nice place to sip toddy and eat fish curry while taking in the beautiful scenery.

Quiet and serene, let's keep it that way. Simple people, earthly, scenic, breath taking. A holiday spot set apart. I plan to go there again. Any one wants to experience few quiet days, and experience peace this the place. The sunrise and sunsets something you can carry within you for a long time.

Please stay at a normal hotel or homestay and book the smaller boats for moving around the canals. The bigger houseboats charge a lot and they take you only through big channels and the lakes where the view pretty the same. The real beauty lies in the smaller channels.

We didn't stay in Alleppey, but in a homestay some distance away on an island in the backwaters. That was wonderful. We then transferred onto a rice boat for our cruise, that was paradise. We did visit Alleppey beach for the afternoon, but that wasn't the best.

One day of Alleppy tour is Sufficient. you can choose stay in home stays and try Boat ride independently for 2 to 3 hours seperately. Or you can stay in house boat, it will be bit expensive compared to first one.

Anshad is a great guy, he found us a Houseboat at a very affordable price. Really appreciated and highly recommended to anyone who is visiting Alleppey.
