It was a great pleasure staying in Amaya! The property is just gorgeous, the rooms are decorated with so much love and attention to details that it feels like home. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We really loved our dinners served on the terrace. All the additional services that we booked we also great. The yoga teacher is extremely proficient and the massage therapists were good as well. First time being in Kerala and finding Ameya is pure luck! We will definitely come back for a longer stay.

Sitting here having a wonderful breakfast writing this review and wishing we could stay longer in this beautiful place. The hospitality of our host is simply incredible! From the moment we started communicating through Booking, Daniela has been a source of information. Helping us with tours, taxis, tuk tuks and restaurants. The moment we entered the property after more than 24 hours of travel was just pure heaven. The gardens, our room (King Bedroom) which overlooked the beach was absolute bliss. Our room is beautiful and spacious. The gardens are cleaned regularly and the hammocks are amazing to lay on and chill, read or just day dream while listening to the waves hitting the beach. The beach is natural. No sun beds, no parasols, no loud music and nobody! We had the beach all to ourselves. Well except for the birds who were watching two tourists enjoying swimming and playing in the waves. The beach is what a beach is supposed to be in all its natural beauty! The breakfast is wonderful as well and as well as the dinner if you prefer to stay in instead of going out. We ate here twice and it was delicious!! Wifi, hot water and airconditioning are all in great working order! If you want to decompress, chill or recharge this is the perfect place to start or end your holiday in God’s Own Country. Daniela, thank you for an amazing stay at Alleppey Beach Garden. We had a wonderful time and wish we could extend our stay but onwards we travel! PS: I took more videos than photos so I won’t be posting any, but one thing I can truly say, the pictures on booking doesn’t do the place justice. Let yourself be surprised at how beautiful this place really is once you step through the gates and realize you’re in heaven in God’s Own Country.

The ambience was good, the rooms were clean, the staff were always ready to help, the food was tasty, the parking area was spacious. The view from the room was very beautiful. I was attending my college batch reunion, which was also organized in one of the halls in Olivia. The hall was spacious for the function. The food, and host were caring, responsible and responsive. Furthermore, it's at a great great location. Awesome scenic routes (land and water). Backwater and canal access was incredible . Ayurveda massage therapists available if you want a quick relaxing massage. Various recreational activities available. The plunge pool in the cottage adds to the fun!! It was an amazing stay.I stayed one night in this property, and it felt like home, with a really calm and quiet atmosphere.The room is neat and clean, and the bed is also very comfy. The staff was really kind, especially Mr. Akku, who helped us throughout our stay. Also, they have a restaurant nearby named Silver Spoon Delicacy. We tried the special Alleppey fish curry from there, and it was very yummy. I would like to recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a budget-friendly, peaceful stay in Alleppey.

Accessibility to all areas and friendliness of the people who are so willing to help tourists. Tuk tuk and taxi drivers are especially helpful and will arrange for you to access the Backwaters - check prices before you decide. We ate at the Class Regency and Raheem's, both of which serve a variety of very good food - be prepared to wait, service may be a little slow. The highlight to us was the boat trip around the backwaters. A smaller boat is better as you will access the villages dotted along the shores. Be prepared, everyone will wave at you as you go by!!

Very touristy for the polluting and wasteful houseboats and shikaras. The beach eas nice and could use some trees for shade. The auto guys refuse to use the meter to extort non locals. MOST restaurants and cafes have a very limited menu and one has to really search for a place to have something other than bony fish with rice. Using the govt ferry was decent and I wish they were more frequent and on time. Its ok for a few days if you dont care about the heat or the environment of the backwaters.

Ancient town which was the backbone of Kerala's economy of trade with foreign states for coir, spices and many other items of merchandise except slaves. No slave trade at all, as those who came for trade arrived for premium goods. With an abundance of labour,the host city also did not require any slaves for labour or as sex slaves due to the high social values held. The pre-independance era canals created by Raja Kesavadas (erswhile king) need urgent declogging from the suffocating water hyacinth weeds. If this is cleared then the possibilities for tourism are astronomical as access to many heritage spots can be opened up. We visited the International Coir Museum,Alleppey (abut 11 kms north of the town and lying west of the national Highway 66), which is the only one of its kind in the world, though many countries have coconut palms but the technique of extraction and weaving of coconut fibres into ropes for different uses was perfected in Kerala long back. The mechanised weaving brought about quantum jump in its diverse use from mooring ships to other uses due to substantial increase in the tensile strength of woven ropes from multiple fibres. This is a must visit place while on holiday in Alleppey, which unfortunately most people miss.

All is wonderful: the nature, people, town on water itself is big and I liked ayurvedic clinic (particularly it should be clinic, not spa, because in spa it's more expensive and they don't understand what you want , I tried in 4 to explain what Champi is), but in clinic I got it without explanation.

We come late at night from munnar.

We come late at night from munnar. Goa type hustle and bustle you will not found in Alleppey. But there are some places which are very calm and serene. Backwaters are amazing. People are helpful. Finding veg food a bit tough but can find it easily.

The fool will criticize the beauty of God's own country and the people were the same here with affection and generosity and not to miss the the food here.. but to say to rectify the things that meed to be was the local auto transporters and shikara boat operaters , some were good , others were oppurtunistc to cashing the tourists. Need to regularise with standard operating rules for travel ...

The homestay was wonderful. The room was very comfortable and clean with a nice hot shower. The brothers who run the homestay are very friendly and helpful. Also, you should try the Kerala breakfast, it was delicious and the portion was extremely generous. The property is located on a quiet canal on the edge of the city, which is a great location as it is peaceful and only a stone's throw away from the backwaters! Overall, an amazing place to stay whilst in Alleppey.

Great property right by the beach in Alleppey. Clint was super friendly and helpful - he organised a sunrise tour of the backwaters which was a real trip of the highlight. We also received a complimentary upgrade on the room which was very kind. We loved relaxing by the pool! Brekkie was super generous as well. Loved the pancake.

The best hosts in India. Anuj and Jipsom go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, and so you get the most of our your stay in Alleppey. The hostel is literally on the beach, the rooms are very comfortable with jusy enough space, and the air-conditioning is perfect. Highly recommended!!!
