Clarks Inn Hampi is set in Hampi. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. Each room is equipped with a flat-screen TV. Clark's Inn was our base for a visit to Hampi. It is conveniently situated opposite the museum in Kamalapuram and a short distance from the ruins of Hampi. The facilities were fine. The room was a reasonable size as was the bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided as is bottled water. Free wifi is available. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Check-in was smooth and we were shown to our room without delay. The restaurant had a varied menu for dinner. Members of restaurant staff were willing to explain and offer advice on what to eat. For breakfast there is a buffet. Our enjoyment and appreciation of Hampi was very much enhanced by our knowledgeable, courteous and helpful guide Srikanth. He can be contacted through the hotel or by telephone at 9403872583. He was excellent.
Located amid the lush greenery of the Vidyanagar Township, Hyatt Place Hampi houses an outdoor pool, a fitness center and 2 dining options. Robin Sharma keeps talking about going that extra mile. He usually talks about the excellent service he recieved in hotels across the world. And now finally I have my own story. Hampi was my first solo trip. Interestingly(much to the amusement of my friends and family) I first booked Hyatt and then sorted out my transportation tickets. Priyanka & Aishwarya at the reception desk obliged my every request. And I did hv a couple. Harsh ensured my buffet dinners were even more special by getting me starters that were exclusively prepared for me. I remember talking to Chef Tarang about how to make dahi kababs, a dish Harsh had got me and that I tried for the first time. Chef Tarang even packed me dinner for my way back home. How sweet is that! But the cherry on the cake was Nasir Sheikh, front office manager. I booked a bus back to Bombay. Reason being it’s a two minute walk from Hyatt. But the bus was running late and instead asked me to come some 7 km away. I had already settled the bill. Mr Nasir heard my conversation and asked me if I was comfortable. I said no. That’s when he spoke to the bus driver, got him to send me transportation and followed up. Now isn’t that gentlemanly behaviour! As I was leaving, I mentioned to Mr Nasir that my entire stay felt like I had come to visit my relatives. Will I recommend Hyatt to others? Oh most certainly And will I stay on other Hyatt properties? Oh most definitely! Kudos team Hyatt. Making people happy results in so much satisfaction at the end of the day. And I am one happy customer. Keep up the good work.

Hotel Varsha offers accommodations in Hampi. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. It felt like a oasis. Nice hotel with quality rooms. Hotel manager was very helpful. The hotel has a very good restaurant. Although the hotel is not in Hampi, but in the next village Kamalapura, it is not far. You can take a bus to Humpi or you can rent a scooter Actually a scooter is the best way to explore the ruins. If you come from Hospet by the bus, it goes through Hampi first - stay on the bus an the next stop will be Kamalapura.

Best time to visit Hampi is during the peak season. I visited in May which is off peak. Many places to eat at and stay were closed (on the hippie island side). The archeological side of Hampi was open but with limited options on food. But as it is the hottest time in Hampi, and it wasn't crowded at all i got a chance to get great photos with least amount of people around. (but damn the tan, no amount of sunscreen is going to be enough :p :D)
I was looking for a quiet getaway, but it turned out to be exactly opposite- it was the day of the Virupaksha jaatre (village fair) and the chariot festival. There were people everywhere, even in secluded spots. So if you're a photographer , please check ahead for ant fairs/festivals/utsavas before traveling. But the places around Hampi were mesmerising. I even managed to visit places off the tourist circuit like Moryara gudda megaliths, Onake kindi cave paintings and Anegundi palace. There was good amount of water flowing in Tungabhadra river on account of the fair. Hampi village is right next to the Virupaksha temple; there are a gamut of modest eateries serving all sorts of tastes, right from Israeli food to regular South Indian meals. I hovered around a Brahmin home-eatery. There's one vendor in the village who rents out motorcycles and multiple vendors for bicycles. If you cross over the river to Virupapura gaddi, there are many more motorcycle vendors, tattoo artists, grander eateries and spots to hang out. There are a few spots in Hampi to catch the rising/ setting sun namely Hemakuta hill, Matanga peak and Malyavanta Raghunatha hill; on the other side of the river you have Anjanadri hill. Not to be missed! The Purandara mantapa by the river is also a pleasant spot to enjoy sunset, with your feet dipped in the river. Overall, Hampi is a place that takes your breath away, time and again.
Make sure you visit ancient monuments site before 10 AM to avoid getting baked in the sun. Its generally very hot in Hampi even during winters. Renting a geared cycle is a good option here, especially for crossing over to other side of island and exploring less popular areas. Sunset from any of the hill tops are very pleasing. Basic accommodation is light on pocket and still quite manageable. Minimum 2 mornings are required to explore all the ruins in main Hampi. Another 2 days for exploring 'Hippie island'(Virupapura Gadde)
the old ruins were amazing, seemingly ancient and impressive with zero crowds in March/April it's becoming a tourist trap, with prices jumped for cool drinks, 300inr for 10km rikshaw, varkala of Kerala prices on meals
As expected Hampi is full of ancient temples and ruins, but the beautiful landscape and atmosphere of Hampi made my trip amazing. Vittala temple ruins was one of my favourite spot, but the Hanuman temple on Anjaneya Hill was also equally astonishing. One day is sufficient to cover the ancient ruins and keep a separate to cover the other side of river. There are many small restaurants and cafes, where you can have variety of cuisines. Try to keep yourself hydrated, as it gets very hot during off season. You can find couple of options for getting around hampi, my personal favorite is Moped. Otherwise you can also take bicycle or a scooter. Renting vehicles is not that expensive. During your stay in Hampi, you can do camping, boating in traditional circular boats, take a ferry and explore the other side of Hampi. Hampi is for history and nature lovers, it will definitely refresh your soul.
Watching the ruins of this once beautiful city takes u back in the time...good for history enthusiasts...other side of the tungabhdra river has a chilled out vibe...lots of backpackers stay over to that side...can be visited in 2-3 days

The hotel owner and his family have been very kind and helpful. They organised our trip from the airport (Hubli) to the hotel and gave us all the assistance for our stay. They assist us also in organising our two-day tour in Hampi with Mr Paul, a very performant driver-guide. We made a very interesting and complete tour thanks to Mr Pauls suggestions. We have also been helped in buying bus tickets to Mysore and have been brought to Hospet to catch the bus. A very relaxing and charming hotel with very performant staff and support.

Has to be the best option to stay in Hampi. Perfect for families - I stayed with elderly parents and my 5 year old. Great facilities (mini fridge, tv with premium cable, kettle), clean rooms and bathroom, fabulous location (right opposite ASI museum), fantastic staff, excellent food and most of all very good overall value for money. They’ve a tie up with a tour operator who offers all day sightseeing for ₹1800. Pickup available from Hospet stn for ₹600 (negotiable). We extended our checkout at ₹1500 extra. Also got early check out.

The location is close from major tourist attractions. Cleanliness of rooms is remarkable at the cost for which they are available. Staff is very friendly n helpful. Restaurant on ground floor was also good, we had authentic sound Indian food. Also ATM is available just outside hotel so you don't have to carry huge hard cash while traveling. Since hotel is on main Street Auto rickshaw are easily available for sightseeing. Overall it was good experience at Hotel Varsha it just made our stay at Hampi more comfortable.

Wanderers Luxury has a really nice and peaceful location. It's the best place to enjoy nature and calm down. I loved to climb up the rocks in the morning to enjoy the beautiful view. You can drive to every Temple and to Hippie Island with the scooter's that you can hire from the Hostel. The owner of this hostel is really helpful and cares about the customer's a lot. Food is really tasty there. I would definitely stay there again!

Being a foody, first thing I consider in a hotel is it's restaurant. In my four day stay, I tried almost all the cuisines they serve and they were all 'yummy'. Also, the place is rightly named as "Stay Chill Hampi" where you can be as lazy as you want to and relax beneath the hut roof. Not to forget, the host and the location of the guesthouse was really nice too!

It was so calm and peaceful here. You can see the starlit sky at night. It is by the river side and you can constantly hear the water flowing. One of the best properties in Hampi with a super duper staff. The food is fabulous too. The chef surprised us on our anniversary dinner by making the best white chocolate crepe ever! 5 stars for a memorable experience.

It is located in the middle of Hampi Bazaar and with many eating options around. They also have their restaurant on top which serves a variety of food, we tried different breakfast options and they were nice at a good price. The room was cool and fresh during night time. The staff helped us to get a nice driver and tour guide for the day.

Clean room with delicious breakfasts included. Nice view of the sugarcane fields from the balcony in the town of New Hampi. Very kind family living downstairs to support your needs. You can save money by having simple dinner meals at the homestay. Be sure to ask ahead of time if they will charge extra for more rotis/2nd helpings.

Peaceful location outside of town, close to a lake and adjacent to rice fields. Small and quiet guesthouse with a husband, wife, and two boys hosting. Great place to reserve in advance where you can relax for a day or two after a long journey. Best to count on renting a scooter or bicycle. Also available at guest house.

Had an amazing time here. You'll feel like part of a family, Ganesh is incredibly nice, the location is great (outside of the island, so away from loud music, but close enough), food is AMAZING (you'll have a chef for you), perfect place to meet people. Best hostel I've been in India so far!

Love the owner. They are really nice and accomodating, and gives the best advice for things to do around Hampi. Rooms are clean, the vibe (actually Hampi in general) is very relax as well. It is also in Hampi Bazaar (which isn't big to begin with), and walking distance to many nearby temples.

Main USP of this home stay is location and the budget. I mean you can get cheaper stay at the hippie island but again you have to cross every day which is a headache.
