I had a wonderful experience staying here in Gokulam, Mysore. I stayed for nearly a month and truly loved the place. The hotel is very new and the rooms have everything you need. Everything was spotless — the cleaning was excellent throughout my stay. The location is perfect, with many lovely cafés and restaurants nearby, and plenty of great yoga shalas within walking distance. What really made the difference, though, was the staff. From the front desk team to the housekeeping staff, the security guard at the door, and the manager — everyone was always helpful, kind, and smiling. They made me feel very welcome and at home. I recommended this hotel to six other people who came for a workshop, and they were all very pleased as well. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again.

On top of that, there’s so much amazing stuff available that genuinely improves the stay — all the small comforts and the food was the best Indian food I had so far. It feels like someone really cared about creating an experience, not just providing a room. And what truly makes it exceptional: the people. Everyone is super friendly, supportive, and warm — the kind of hosts/team who make you feel welcomed from the first moment. Communication is easy, kind, and fast, and you can feel that they genuinely want you to have the best time. Overall: a perfect mix of beauty, comfort, and heart. Highly recommended.

Both palaces are worth a visit, however, Jaganmohana Palace...

Both palaces are worth a visit, however, Jaganmohana Palace is for the antique art display. It is worth doing this one first before heading to Mysore Palace, as you will then have a deeper understanding of the wall paintings, which are incredible. At Mysore Palace, I recommend hiring a guide, they are very good value for money and please do not forget to go back in the evening when they turn on the palace lights, it's free. Then consider some of the lesser know sites, such as Brindavan Gardens for the evening light show or chill for a day or two at the Royal Orchid Hotel, the railway museum, Philomena's Cathedral, or Hindu temples. If you are into shopping, the main street is the place for you. A few days in this pleasant centrally located city is worth while.

recommend people to visit kabini jeep and boat safari. Kabini safari is 75 km from MYsuru . The safari is two times in a day one in the morning and other in the evening ( 06.00 am to 09.30am) and from 03.00 pm to 06.30 pm. Boat safari is only in the morning 06.30 am to 09.30 am .

Thanks to the vision and foresight of its earlier rulers, the Maharajas, the city boasts of broad roads, broader side walks, well manicured gardens, lakes and one of the BEST zoological gardens not just in India but even by international standards. And one can experience the old world charm, sadly missing in many of our metropolises.

There is exploitation in terms of money by local transport group , some restaurant assistants. Also state government impose high entry fee to the different tourist destinations such as Brindavan garden / mysore palace.

I was hugely disappointed with the maintenance of Vrindavan...

I was hugely disappointed with the maintenance of Vrindavan Gardens. I went there with great expectations. The past glory is gone. The worst is the way the rest rooms/ toilets are maintained. It is a sad picture. The Chamundi Goddess place is totally commercialized and filled with corrupt people who demanded money for every step of Gods Darshan..The Mysore zoo is one place I would recommend families to visit with children.

I booked this hotel by seeing very good reviews but this was pathetic . Room had dust smell . AC had no cooling ( 2nd day they shifted me to another room). Parking was bit difficult ( small gully road ) . I found hotel or booking.com themselves crated good review on my behalf, now I changed it my own .. do not recommend this hotel .
