"You have to prepare for an immersion in noisy and chaotic traffic, colours, smells and all kinds of sensory experiences. I can recommend Church street with all the shops and little restaurants, its big mall and little stalls. You can buy nice jewels for very few money, and drink coconut water directly from the young coconuts. I can recommend the book Namma Bangalore. The soul of a metropolis, of the Indian author Shoba Narayan (2023) . She had lived for 20 years in the town. It is a series of essays about book shops and book clubs, literature festivals, about architecture, birdwatching, the parks, a nature community in Bangalore, restaurants, musea... Very good written and it helps to find your way around. We were only for one week in Bangalore, for personal reasons, and nevertheless we visited the beautifull Cubbon Park, Church Street, Blossom Book House, the Museum for Art and Photography, all next to the hotel."

"A city which still holds in old world charm. Mysore is a nice city which has many tourist attractions around it. Also it is gateway to many other tourist places in and around Karnataka such as Srirangapatna, Coorg, Ooty etc. The palaces and gardens are splendid barring the crowd that throngs in such places. If you would like to literally explore palace and gardens well, I would recommend to opt for week days (avoid Monday, Tuesday as many monuments may be closed) If you are travelling with kids, Mysore Zoo (Tuesday Closed) is a must visit. It's a well maintained place which offers a close view of variety of animals, birds and other species from around the world. Jagan Mohan Palace (Museum), Brindavan Garden -KRS Dam, Chamundi Hills, Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta (few kms away), Balmuri Falls, Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary, Sri Rangapatna (town just before Mysore when you travel from Bangalore) that offers Tipu's summer palace, Sangama etc. are places you can go from Mysore. But keep a good plan for each day, dont try to fill in your itinerary. When you go to Mysore, be relaxed spend time at place you visit rather than seeing many places a day and getting tired. enjoy the royal city!"

"It is my home town and so I love it! It has over the years become really crowded, the city area but there are so many positive things to note. The people are really warm, kind and helpful. EVen the auto drivers are polite and wait if u ask them, they don't scream at you for extra or haggle or say no to destinations. The weather is hot and humid in the day time but cool and lovely in the nights. Lots of eateries. Everything is so close by, Private buses are public transport here and they run on time and are great to get around wherever u want. Lots of churches and temples to visit. Awesome place overall."

"Beautiful place. One must visit with family or friends. Special update : Place like hebbe falls close at 4 pm and no car is allowed to go up there post that. It is opened from 9am onwards so plan accordingly. Also it is recommended to go to a few points a little early especially over weekends since later there is a lot of traffic. We did that and while our way back downwards we saw a huge traffic congestion. We were happy we chose to leave early from the city centre where we stayed so that we were able to reach early and leave early"

"Nice place nestled in nature. The places to see are constantly repeated in most travel web sites and blogs. The highlight was the visit to the golden temple at Kushalnagar and the drive to talacauvery temple. Raja seats was crowded, so was the market. The weather was mostly pleasant. Would recommend a two day stay to see everything in Madikeri as well as Kushalnagar. Don’t forget to indulge in local cuisine while at Madikeri from Coorg Cuisine ."

Everything was perfect! I stayed there for 10 days. The place is clean, the room is lovely, and the small kitchen is very convenient. As a backpacker, having access to both a washing machine and a dryer was amazing, a real luxury 😅 The neighborhood is calm and peaceful. I loved doing my yoga every morning on the rooftop and watching the flying bats in the evening. The staff are super kind and helpful 🙏 It’s also right next to Ranga Shankara Theatre, so if you enjoy evening performances, the location is ideal. If I come back to Bangalore, I will definitely stay at OBS again.
