1-2 days are enough for exploring this beautiful hill...

1-2 days are enough for exploring this beautiful hill station. Don’t miss: Viceregal Lodge, Jakhu temple, Ridge/Lakkad Bazaar/Mall road. Take an accommodation close to the Mall Road for easier access - walking is comfortable due to good roads.

From my opinion shimla is a great place for those who just...

From my opinion shimla is a great place for those who just visited Himachal for the very first time. But if you want to see snowfall in shimla you have to visit in late december or in january or you could go to Manali from shimla which is 6 hours straight drive.

I hope Simla authorities wake up from slumber and start limiting the number of tourists allowed to come up. Simla used to be beautiful and heavenly. I've grown up in Simla partly and was heartbroken to see the administration and municipal apathy, and greed in full display. Unless you've got people to see and meet at Simla, I suggest giving it a wide berth. Leave it alone. Let it heal.

Shimla is a special place and wonderful in the rains.

Shimla is a special place and wonderful in the rains. The colonial architecture and mist views are very evocative and it is somewhere everyone should visit. The town is lively and full of people enjoying. Well worth a visit.

Popular Hill Station, Everything is over priced specially...

Popular Hill Station, Everything is over priced specially Taxi service. Lack of good public transport. Food was good quality and price vary place to place, close to Mall road everything is expensive with low quality. Hard to move around for non-local as public infra is in bad conditions in most of the places. Taxi, hotel and tour guys have fixed few places to mark them as tourist spots, but all of them are not worth of money a person spends, there could be more better places to visit. like water catchment wildlife sanctuary, Bird Park etc but Taxi guys gives false reasons not to got there. Apart from historic places , everything else could be found in any mid-to-big city for activities.

Totally loved the place. NOT far from Mall Road Lift . Can easily get public transportation to move to and fro from hotel to mall road. Will advise you to walk to hotel instead of using any vehicle , will totally love the view around. And opt for room with the view , You will enjoy every second of shimla even from the room. HOTEL staff was very corporative and helped me.

Everything is almost fine.. but it was so much far from the mall road.. there was a road opposite Loreto Convent School. They said that it is the shortest road to reach the mall.. but once we started walking though the road, it took approx 40 min to reach the mall.. the road was uphill up to Shimla kali bari...and the hotel was also downhill from the main road...
