This visit will be my fourth time in Delhi and second stay that is longer than one evening. Today is the firth day and for me it was 2 days too long. We did one day to visit most of the tourist attractions. The traffic is really heavy and it taks a long time to shuttle between sites. We should have stretched it over 2 days leaving the late afternoons / evenings and one full day for shopping. Tip. Use an Uber. Although a trip get cancelled every now and then and it takes a longer waiting period, you will NOT negotiate a similar or better price with the taxi / tuk tuk / auto rickshaw immediately available in the street!!!!!!

I am from Delhi but writing this from Travelers view point. 1. My favorite spots are - Chandani Chowk, Hauz Khaz Village, Lajpat Nagar market, Majnu ka Tilla, and Cannaught Place (from food and shopping prospective). You can check Sarojini nagar market for street side shopping. 2. Delhi has a lot to offer in terms of Food - Street food, mughlai, chinese, korean, tibetan, and south Indian food. You name it and you got it. 3. Getting around - Delhi Metro is a best way but you can always use UBER in Delhi for going anywhere. 4. Don't talk to Auto guys if you're not experienced, always use a map or check Uber before talking to a tuk-tuk guy so you know how far is the place where you going and how much it cost to avoid paying extra. Talk to locals, try n have friends, read and see vlogs before going to Delhi or anywhere just to have a fair Idea of what you're going to get.
