The hosts were exceptionally helpful, well beyond what I expected. My wife and I arrived fairly late (8:30 pm), and we found that the bathroom was too difficult to access, given her mobility issues. I had reserved a room with shared bath, but had not considered that the toilet would require several stairs. The host sent us to a nearby hotel that had an easier toilet access, without any extra charge. We were very grateful for this. The facility looked very nice with a superb scenic view.

Beautifully decorated main areas and rooms were nice and cozy. Showers were hot! Breakfast had a very good selection to choose from. Also lots of spots to hike in the area. It was our honeymoon and we felt very happy with this stay!

I decided at short notice to book accommodation there. Wow, I don't regret it. The hotel manager's reception was so friendly. Also that of the other staff. The hot tub is great. And I have to mention the dinner. Probably the best restaurant I've ever been to. For the starter, I had chicken soup and for the main course, cod's cheek. I highly recommend this remote place 100%. Don't forget the view over Breiðafjörður. I look forward to coming back there.

The owner gave us an exceptional service. We arrived late at night in the winter, and he was kind enough not only to prepare delicious meals at that time, but also to share stories about Iceland, with special focus on the Westfjords. I stayed for over 10 days in Iceland, and it was the most informative, deep and interesting conversation I had with a local about his country (we covered history, geography, politics, socioeconomics, among many others). There was also a gorgeous library and beautiful maps that showed detailed information not available in Google Maps. I will definitely go back to this place next time I am in the Westfjords.
