The place was very cozy and it's a true log built cabin. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, very good and plenty of food. Great coffee machine in lobby. The hot tub was great. The location positioned right along side a mountain range was breathtaking.

Not fancy at all. Tiny little room and bathroom, but clean, comfortable, and very quiet. They also had an upstairs that had a kitchen where you could get coffee, refill your water, or do some light cooking or reheat a meal.

Loved our stay here!! The room is pretty big and the beds were very comfortable! The staff kindly gave us a breakfast box, since we were hiking very early in the morning. I cannot thank the staff enough for helping my dad and I after we faced difficult times during our hike!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! You all saved us from freezing!! <3

    The so-called “self-checkin” was a disaster.

The so-called “self-checkin” was a disaster. Two other couples arrived at the same time as us, and none of us had any idea how to find our gain access to our rooms. There was a free phone “help line in the foyer but that went straight to voicemail. We luckily ran into an American couple who had checked in the previous day, and they advised how the system worked. They said that I would get an email from our agent (booking.com). I said I had checked the evening before and there was nothing. They advised that this notification was only sent out a couple of hours before planned check in - which I would rate as useless, since many travellers rely on the WiFi provided at their hotel, and ther was no indication of how to get onto the WiFi on arrival. A “staff member” eventually arrived, but he could hardly speak English (he was apparently Bulgarian) and he was no help. He also refused to carry my girlfriend’s suitcase upstairs (there was no elevator), claiming a bad back (which miraculously healed up when we left). The shower was a joke. You literally had to run around to get wet. The were a small number of needle-thin jets, with low water-pressure. The toilet seat was a cheap plastic thing, the sort of style you would expect to see in a back-packer’s. The was only one dispenser on the shower, to cover soap and shampoo. There was a balcony, but the lock on the door didn’t work, making a potential security risk. The hotel came up in a search for hotels in Vik, but was about 60k’s away (however that turned out to be a plus for us. All in all, the way the hotel was run seemed to focus on providing the minimum at the lowest possible cost. No customer focus at all. There was a TV but we could not get it to work at all. Maybe it would have worked if we had some sort of streaming service contract (I.e Prime or Netflix, etc) but we don’t have any of them.
