Found by bubbling geothermal springs in Hveragerdi, this hotel offers an outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs. All rooms include bathrobes, slippers and a 32-inch flat-screen TV. Wi-Fi is free. Loved this hotel. Super comfy beds, beautiful views of mountains, and hot tubs and pool to enjoy after long day of sight-seeing. Beautiful restaurant. Only negative is that the room was a little tight for 3 people but that’s fairly common in Iceland. I would definitely stay here again.
Located in Hveragerði in the Suðurland region, Gljúfurbústaðir Holiday Homes has a terrace. It features barbecue facilities, mountain views and free WiFi. Best seat in the house for auroras, definitely worth the money seeing the aurora just outside of the accommodation.
Guest house Inga is located 2.5 mi outside of Hveragerði. Free WiFi access is available in this homestay. The accommodations will provide you with a desk, iron facilities and a hairdryer. Inga and Bruce were so welcoming! I loved the cleanliness, the huge window (you can look out to see if theres any northern light action), the comfortable bed, the shower, the robe, the art, the great coffee and mostly the company of Inga and Bruce.
This quiet guest house is within 10 minutes' walk of the Geothermal Park, in Hveragerdi. Surrounded by mountains and forest, it features a free outdoor hot tub. WiFi and on-site parking are free. Very helpful and interesting hosts. A good variety of breakfast items. It was clean bright and had lots of books to look through. Oh, and an outdoor. hot tub....!
These modern, self-catering apartments are located in the village of Hveragerdi, 28 mi from Reykjavík. Each offers free Wi-Fi, a well-equipped kitchen and access to a shared, furnished garden terrace.... Amazing place; well furnished, very clean, huge, excellent amenities (coffee maker, oven, tea/coffee and filters all provided), beautiful home, comfortable bed, and easy checkin via door code. I would absolutely stay here and recommend it to any traveler in the area.
Located in Hveragerði, INNI - Boutique apartments provides accommodations with free WiFi, garden views, and access to a hot tub and a sauna. The accommodations feature a hot tub. Beautifully designed and well appointed. Great value. Hot tub and sauna.
Frost & Fire hotel was our base for a few days as we explored the southern coast. The steam vents around town are a trip. We had a fantastic gourmet meal at Frost & Fire one night, and also enjoyed the local flavor at a restaurant in town that cooks with heat from the Earth. To the East, several fantastic waterfalls are accessible by car. We road Icelandic horses at a nearby riding center. Heading to the West, we circled back to Keflavik for our flight home -- many magnificent seaside vistas with cliffs, migratory birds, lava fields, and geothermal displays.
Awesome walking paths around town and close to many geothermal features. The town has a peaceful, safe feeling and seems well cared for by the residents. There are a lot of neat geothermal features and geothermal greenhouses to visit.
A central location for visiting the south, but close enough to Reykjavik for dinner or a day trip. The town is a geothermal spot. Enjoy the waterfall, river for fishing and great walks. Some great restaurants in town.
It was a great location and we loved the hike to the hot spring through the geyser park. We also loved that they had a Bonus store and everything you needed in the town as well. I would definitely stay in that town again.
Hveragerdi is the hot spring capital. We were there during the winter and had a hot tub at our backyard which used hot spring water. The cabin is about one hour drive from the Golden Circle and one and a half hours to Reykjavík, making it a convenient location. Got to see the northern lights in our backyard on the last night of our stay. Will be coming back during the summer time as the Geothermal Park is only open during the summertime.
Nice town near the golden circle and south coast. Saved time vs doing day trips from Reykjavik. Easily come home when tired. Nice new pizza place in town. olverk. Good bakery for morning treats.

The breakfast was nice and so was the interior and the athmosphere. The cafe was lovely decorated!! Beautiful mountain view from the window. Lovely morning walk in the area towards mountains and hot springs. We also hiked an hour to swim in Reykjadalur (hot river, the water was not so hot though and the weather changed and was terribly windy and a bit rainy as we got there and we were f-r-e-e-z-i-n-g when we changed our wet cloths back oitside (there are no buildings for that), a big recommendation to the trip though!!!)

We had a great time. Perfect for a large family. The cabins are brand new and kept very clean. Extremely comfortable, warm and well lit. The host was great and extremely helpful. The hot tub was spectacular (the sauna looked great too but we didn't use it). There are laundry facilities for self use. Super location. There is a nice hike very close by. Would definitely go back if we come back to Iceland.

Our family stayed at the villa and it was our best stay in Iceland. The villa is well furnished and had all we want. The coffee making machine is excellent. A very convenient location to the Golden Circle. Also there are many nice eateries around here. We tried the earth cooking restaurant and had our best meal here.

The staff were super nice and the interior is very pleasant. The comfortable room, as the rest of the hotel, was very clean and the buffet breakfast quite good. We had a fixed menu evening meal in the restaurant which was just beautiful; excellent food.
