Totally unbelievable! The staff were sooo accommodating! Everything about the hotel is amazing; architecture, interior design, heated bathroom floor, bathrobes, view & the most amazing hot tub! We even took a very short walk and were able to see the northern lights… without falling off the cliffs.

    MY TRIP TO KEFLAVIK WAS JUST A SHORT TRIP FROM THE AIRPORT TO DRIVE THE CIRCLE FOR 10 DAYS. BEFORE FLYING HOME, I TURNED IN MY RENTAL CAR AND SPENT THE NIGHT AT THE HOTEL BERG, WHICH WAS WONDERFUL. I PLAN TO BE BACK NEXT YEAR, AND I WANT TO STAY NEAR KEFLAVIK. I'D LOVE TO SEE THE WHOLE AREA!

    If you are going to eat out then make reservation.

    If you are going to eat out then make reservation. The only place we could find to eat at on a weekend was chinees restaurant. Found the Viking Center interesting on a rain day. Close to aipport but not so you hear planes.

    The surroundings of Keflavík are mainly known for volcanic activity, hot springs and beaches marked by volcanic activity. It's definitely an interesting place, but don't look for greenery there.

    The airport is crowded, with confusing signage with so many...

    The airport is crowded, with confusing signage with so many tourists arriving and departing . Only 2 fastfood outlet in the check In hall , so you don‘t have many options taking your lunch or dinner. But after safety control you have more choices on dining. The very good thing with ICELANDAIR is evening check in for your next morning flight is really a great thing you can do , so on the morning you don‘t have to check in , just straight going to safety control with boarding pass which is will save you a lot of time.

    I am sure staying at ConVin was expensive, but they had a great bistro there, and we were able to take advantage and have a great meal there. Near Bank guesthouse there are few food options. Taxi a necessity to the airport, or bus (15 min walk)

    Everyone I came in contact with at the airport spoke English...

    Everyone I came in contact with at the airport spoke English - a big plus for me as I don't speak Icelandic. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful to me. I had fish and chips from one of the restaurants and it was very good. There is a "Meeting Point" where I was told to go upon arriving at the airport and someone came and got me from there for wheelchair assistance, Very efficient. Unfortunately, there was a gate change for my aircraft and the wheelchair people didn't get the message so I had to push my chair - using it like a walker - and when the gate agent saw me, he was upset that I didn't have someone pushing me. He set me down and pushed me himself.

    The room was simply enormous! Very generous and ample space, good decor and excellent bathroom. This was one of the cheapest hotels on our trip and we were not expecting anywhere near the quality we actually experienced when walking in. Very clean, modern and welcoming once inside. Very convenient for the airport with nearby choices for food and convenience groceries. We did not try the breakfast as we thought it was rather highly priced. The restaurant stays open until 21:30 serving typical hotel food, so good for arriving late.

    The hotel is on the edge of a small marina and easy to find by car. The free parking is useful. They are perfectly located for Keflavik airport and the free shuttle to the airport was convenient and promptly arranged by the friendly, helpful staff. The hotel reception area has some nice relaxed seating areas with rugs and comfy chairs. We also loved the large globe! There is a restaurant but also plenty of other options in the town, just a short walk away. Breakfast was plentiful and the selection was good.

    Really good value for money. Great breakfast and common area. Shared toilet kept very clean. Friendly staff. Lots of sockets in room. I wasn't expecting to but at night we could see the current eruption light up the skyline from a safe distance of the hotel car park. Excellent airport shuttle service.

    Proximity to the airport and free shuttle starting at 4am. Breakfast starting at 3am. Our room had a bathroom. A short walk away there are several restaurant options. The Thai was pretty good and reasonably priced for Iceland with huge portions.

    The super early breakfast (available from 4am) and the shuttle service to the airport (also available from early and upon request) was excellent. The on-site restaurant served yummy food (salmon madras was delicious!)
