Located in the northern Iceland coastal village of Saudárkrókur, this property is 90 minutes’ drive from central Akureyri. It offers free Wi-Fi, an on-site bar and an outdoor geothermal hot tub. Simple, easy, good location. Euro spartan but everything you need. Many wonderful things to do in the area. Great bakery in town ( perhaps why breakfast bread and chocolate croissants so good!)
Set in Sauðárkrókur, Karuna Guest house has a garden. This property offers both free WiFi and private parking free of charge. All guest rooms in the guest house are fitted with a flat-screen TV. We enjoyed everything. Our host was a very nice person. There was a number of additional facilities which was really surprising for us. Highly recommended!
10B Gamla Læknishúsið features accommodations in Sauðárkrókur. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Newly renovated, very cosy and nice design. Beautiful house on the outside and excellent location! Easy check in and check out, would definitely stay again:)
Set in Sauðárkrókur, Grand-Inn Bar and Bed has a bar, shared lounge, garden, and free WiFi. All rooms boast a kitchen, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, and a shared bathroom. An old house in the old part of a fishing village. The interior is a mix of vintage and modern. Kitchen, wi fi and bathroom are the modern bits. Plus, there is a washer, dryer and ironing board so one can smarten up and continue exploring Northiceland in style. I did not meet the hostess in person however we had an excellent communication. Could not have made a better choice for this trip
Helluland Guest house in Sauðárkrókur provides accommodations with a garden and a terrace. The whole guesthouse looks and feels like someone has put a lot of love into it. The rooms are comfortable, everything was clean. There are two bathrooms. Both are quite small but with a shower and toilet. The kitchen is well equipped.
This small town is a good base for exploring the area, including horse riding at Icelandic Horse Tours in Helluland and a trip to Drangey Island with Drangey Tours. There is a nice exhibit on the Icelandic Civil War (ca 1230) and Iceland's oldest bakery. A short walk up to the cemetery provides a nice view.
Lovely farm stay, beautiful views in every direction of water and mountains. Great hosts, lovely animals, and excellent kitchen, utensils and washing machine. Lovely spacious living area with beautiful views.
Wonderful museum in town ( fun for kids - has virtual reality experience) More museoms in surrounding area. Many more areas to explore and activities to partake in. Excellent tourist information staff in Varmahid.
We did a stop in Saudarkrokur coming from Snaefellnes . Initially it was just for the night before getting to Akurery but we finally enjoyed a fantastic horse-riding tour (helluland stable ). We also stopped at the puffin house, interesting place where the owner gave us good tips for the rest of our roadtrip.
Great town on the harbor. We wish we had more time to spend here but it was close to Gaumbier Turf Homes, the most amazing waterfall, and we went horsen]back riding in Lytingssauder - fabulous spot we found from a brochure at the Milakagar guesthouse in town.
nicht litten village. like the Atmosphäre. going Out for Dinner or even for Coffee is to extensive for the europeans; even for us as swiss people. Would be good to have alternatives to eat; so more money could be spend in activities. however IT is a beautyful country!
Simple, easy, good location. Euro spartan but everything you need. Many wonderful things to do in the area. Great bakery in town ( perhaps why breakfast bread and chocolate croissants so good!)
