Loved the place very scenic. The staff was amazing too. We were running late for dinner at the hotel and the restaurant was going to close by the time we got there. The Staff managed to put away food for us on the side this way when we got to the hotel we had all the meals ready. Thank you hotel Laxa for the great hospitality and good stay!

Very Friendly staff /nice big room very comfortable bed / with lovey decor. the hotel has a hot tub and a sauna and they even Loan you the use of a fluffy Bath robe and slip ons for walking to the tub .. two choices for dinner we had the buffet it’s was fantastic breakfast was also the best lots of choice for both definitely recommend this place to stay and if you leave your room number they will ring u if the lights appear .. this place ticked all the box’s

New building. Spacious common area and large sparkling modern kitchen. Including washer/ drier so you can do laundry while preparing a meal. Ready for a large group. Large bedroom and bathroom with shower. The bedroom opens to a deck. There may be a view. All we saw was snow and fog/ cloud. Iceland was having a late winter to mid-April.

Wooow is the location from dining hall u can see crater. When we went in june after snow storm there was feesh snow everywhere. Kids made snow man outside hotel. Pizzeria is also good

Location was deep within Myvatn area but perfect as we were in the family cottage at the far end of the property. Windows had nets on them for summer, though it allowed us to open some of them for a short period without worry about the flies invading the room! Kitchen was well equipped, and a dining table with four chairs provided enough space for meals etc. Rooms were just about good enough size for two adults to fit in and blackout blinds dark enough to prevent light from disturbing the sleep. Shower/toilet was brilliant with no possibility of water from shower wetting the other areas, though we the window in the bathroom was not working. Parking was right next to the room.
