Grande Albergo Maugeri is set in Acireale’s historical center, a 5-minute walk from Acireale Cathedral. Its spacious rooms offer free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and an LCD TV. Good location for visiting around the area. Reception was very helpful with recommendations and directions.
Set on the coast of Sicily 1.2 mi from Acireale, ibis Styles Catania Acireale is a modern eco-friendly hotel offering free parking and spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi and an LCD TV. Good location for visit Etna and other locations near Catania with the car
Set right next to a rocky shoreline in Acireale within the Timpa Natural Reserve, Santa Tecla Palace offers an infinity pool and a panoramic terrace with views of the sea and Mount Etna. Exactly what I wanted! Comfort, beach , swimming pool , sea! And a very pleasant companion. And if you rent a car everything is perfect.
Santa Caterina Hotel features beautiful views across the sea and the baroque town of Acireale. This modern property offers a swimming pool and excellent restaurant. great location (10-15min walk from center) and close to restaurants, great service and the restaurant was top! the pool was a wonderful addition we took advantage off...
Set in a renovated historical building which once housed ancient Roman baths, Hotel Capomulini offers rooms with wood-beamed ceilings. This hotel is 1.9 mi from Acireale. Cleaning Some of the stuff veri friendly and nice.
Set in gardens and surrounded by palm trees, Orizzonte Acireale Hotel offers an outdoor pool with panoramic views of Mount Etna. Free Wi-Fi and free parking are provided. Before I went I read the reviews and were not good. Now I am back but I strongly suggest to go there. Breakfast excellent, I didn't knew before that there is public transport. You can deal with the Zappata and Torrisi Company as public transport. AST and Interbus are not so frequent. Staff excellent and pool too. Not so noisy. Plan well and you get the answer. Any traveller needs suggestion do not hesitate. Zappata and Torrisi drivers are very helpful especially Mr. Carmelo Russo, a very helpful man. Good luck. Go for it.

Lovely town with beautiful churches and sights. We stayed 1 1/2 miles from the train station allowing us easy access to other nearby and interesting cities such as Catania, Mount Etna, Siracusa & island of Ortigia, Taormina & Castelmola, Enna and Piazza Armenia. Many interesting museums, Roman and Greek ruins in these cities. We will return to Sicily!
Wonderful location...close to Catania, Mt. Etna, etc...a car would be more convenient, or like us, taking the train from Messina, then a taxi worked out just fine. Upon leaving, I took a bus to Catania Bus Station, then Bus to airport....Worked out well and only cost a total of 4.70 euro
We were in Acireale to attend a wedding, otherwise we would not have stayed here during our vacation in Sicily. It is not really a town for tourists, especially with such a great number of beautiful spots elsewhere on the island. It's alright if you're looking to do a tour of Etna though.
The city centre is a show case of Baroque buildings . Apart from that and the lovely fishing village a walk away down at the sea there is not a lot to detain the traveller. However it is has the advantage of being little touristed and there are several nice restaurants of moderate pricing
Just one thing - you will find it hard to get a decent swim! No good beaches, and the main one at Santa Maria della Scala was packed out (mid-week, term-time) so we gave up. Giardini Naxos (near Taormina) was not that much better, beach-wise, but we got a swim. Some great food can be had here. Do not miss the Puppet Museum. As in most of Sicily, people are helpful, kind & friendly (except sometimes when driving, of course).
Acireale lloked like a little bit out of the beaten track. Not that much tourism and an old beautifull historic town with upperclass shops. Something else for a couple of days. Nice, rough and overwhelming coast.

We spent 3 nights at Jonio B&B and it was just perfect: well-kept,clean,comfortable, and very central. We could walk everywhere and had a wonderful view on a little park outside (which is great to spend the evening, too). The owners,Fabio and Soraya, went out of their way to make us feel at home. They provided a baby bed free of charge, had great advice on what to see and do in Acireale, offered a great breakfast with fresh fruit, tarts, coffee etc. and were always just a phone call away in case we had questions. They were extraordinary hosts!

We enjoyed everything during our stay at San Sebastiano! Deborah is an unusual friendly and helpful person... She gave us many insider tips, so that we could discover tipical sicilian cuisine and feel the ambiente of Acireale. I recommend everyone to try the typical sicilian breakfast a la Acireale, which was granita with brioche. It was also the best granita we've got in Sicily! The room was also nice and clean and location was perfect. Thank you Deborah for your hospitality! Best regards from Poland :)

Small cluster of contemporary and heritage apartments around an old farmhouse. Two swimming pools, plenty of space to relax without other guests being on top of you. You’re invited to pick fruit and vegetables from the garden for your supper. Local village with basic shops and some cheap food options is about 10-15 minutes walk. Acireale is about 40 minute walk (okey during the day but probably best avoided at night as the roads aren’t lit and there isn’t really a pavement).

70 m from the sea ( wooden terace on volcano rocks, perfect for swim, snorkelling and jumping in water). Appartments are very well equipted, from towells to "all what you need" in the kitchen, including basic stuff in fridge. A car is recomended for visiting Sicily towns. 2 restaurants and 3 small shops in walking distance. Every morning 7.30 to 8) a small truck with fish can provide the best fresh calamari or ton for a delicios meal.

This is a wonderful hotel. Clean, quiet, nicely decorated and friendly. We slept really well, and had a really good time. The staff helped us with restaurant recommendations and itineraries. The breakfast was also excellent. Acireale is small non-touristy town, and the hotel is in a great location to walk to the center. But you need to drive to visit other places. If you want to be in a touristy area the town is probably not for you.

Stayed here our first two nights in Sicily (from Catania) as a base for Taormina and move on to Siracusa. Excellent panoramic view of Mt. Etna. Silvio was very welcoming and attentive. He provided excellent recommendations. He assisted with airline/airport telephone calls to determine status of missing baggage. Breakfast was very good and featured fresh local produce and items from his property.

The garden and the sea from our balcony would be so excellent. The owner of two brothers and the son were so nice. The recommendable fish restaurant at Santa Tecla was splendid. And also the bakery shop was so nice. They introduced us the electric shop in the mall in Acireale with the detailed map because of lack of battery charger for the mobile phone.

The place was fantastic. The patio was a gem in the middle of Acireale. The room was also perfect with a lot of space and big bathroom. Parking is also next to the property which makes it very handy. Giuseppe is also a welcoming host that patiently waited for our arrival 1 hour late!

Wonderful bungalows overlooking stunning views. The bungalows are well equipped and kept very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. Would totally stay here again should we visit Sicily another time.
