Acquaviva Picena is a beautiful and quiet hilltop village just inland from bustling coastal resorts like Grottamare and San Benedetto, but infinitely preferable. The Hotel Oviv is a gorgeous historic building and we were welcomed warmly by Camilla. The room was enormous, the bed too and very comfortable indeed, the bathroom spacious and well-equipped. But the highlight was the 'balcony'(as advertised) which turned out to be a wonderful terrace with panoramic 180-degree views to the sea and towards the setting sun. The village is fabulous and friendly, with a great locanda 50 paces from the Hotel (whose restaurant is closed (Aug 2023) pending a new chef - anyone?). Town highlight was the travelling family circus that appeared at 5pm, performed after dark and disappeared by midnight like a magical pumpkin. Highly recommend this lovely place.

L'accoglienza è stata molto curata, la camera era adatta alle nostre esigenze. Il ristorante ha superato le nostre aspettative, davvero ottimo! La cosa che ci ha colpito di più, e che non è per niente scontata, è stata la gentilezza nell'accogliere le nostre richieste per il nostro bimbo di 16 mesi, ad esempio per anticipare gli orari della cena e della colazione. Può sembrare una cosa da poco ma nell'organizzazione di un ristorante non è banale e lo abbiamo apprezzato molto. Infine va sicuramente aggiunto che il prezzo per il pernottamento con colazione più la cena al ristorante era accessibile e quasi sproporzionato al ribasso per la qualità offerta.

The swimming pool and the location were fantastic. Useful information was also given by the host and the two complementary bottles of wine were much appreciated. Would recommend the cantina that they came from called Ciu Ciu which is situated in the town of Offida.

A tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable apartment on the edge of Acquaviva Picena. With private parking, to be closed with a remote-controlled fence. Outdoor terrace with panoramic view. Beautifully restored old village center, located on a higher part of the place. Lively and good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Good starting point to explore the southern part of Le Marche, with places such as Ascoli Piceno, Offida and Grottammare.
