The town is lovely with an old centre complete with cobbles. There are hot springs in a very picturesque piazza. It is very easy to walk around and there was an English speaking lady in the Tourist Information office (which had plenty of English leaflets and a town map). There are lots of bars in the town, many of which are located under arched walkways. Everyone we met was helpful and wanted to chat, even though our Italian was basic to say the least! Tried to upload photos but came out upside down/sideways :)
What a lovely town to visit. I would plan to extend my stay next time - I think you need maybe three days to see all that Acqui Terme has on offer. There is no problem with finding good, fresh, nourishing meals in the town, and despite a language difficulty on my part, there was always someone close by who was able to translate for me. This was a much needed stop over, but much too short, I would love to revisit , but for a longer stay.
Small city, a bit remote like cation with ancient roman routes and hot spring source. Very nice place with historic center and nice boutiques for shopping. Good restaurants and many spa hotels. Great for the colder autumn days.
Pretty restful compact little town, delightful old pedestrianised area with excellent and interesting shops; excellent bars and restaurants especially Il Caffe, up hill behind town-centre hot spring - 1 Michelin star, with superb food, ambience, service.
Acqui Terme
Giarvino is located just 10 minutes drive from central Acqui Terme, but it is in the vineyards of the Piemonte hills in a very quiet and scenic location. Fredy and Romy are phenomenal hosts, their attention to making guests comfortable, peaceful (and very well-fed) is exceptional. The guesthouse and the grounds are so nice, every detail including the furniture and artworks on the property are beautiful.

I stayed at Cascina Marcantonio in August with friends. Its a beautiful small hotel/estate surrounded by beautiful Vineyards. The location is very peaceful and scenic. It is family run with friendly staff and a relaxed feeling. The rooms were clean and modern. You can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel and drink great wine from the surrounding vineyards. I would highly recommend it!

A wonderful apartment with a great location for exploring Acqui Terme. It really gives you a feel for living in amongst the local people. The apartment is well equipped and very clean. A wonderful quiet place near the town surrounded by nature. Great for traveling with kids as it has a private garden. We have received a gift of wine and there is an opportunity to buy wine made by the host, and it is great 🥰😍😍 Wonderful, helpful hosts. We were flexible in arranging arrival times. We will be back again and again.❤❤❤
The breakfast was very good, including among a large choice of salty and sweet dishes, a delicious home made hazelnut cake (speciality of the area) and fresh scrambled eggs. The dinner in the hotel's restaurant was also good. Above all, we were delighted with the special attention to the client.
The hotel stay was very pleasant and comfortable. The staff was very polite and helpful. Thank you so much for the availability and kindness. Excelent stay.

Quiet place near Acqui Terme. Nice location just outside the city. Sara was a great host and had many good recommandations of what to do and where to go.
Hotel very well placed in the city center. Room is simple but find. We loved the breakfast and the lady who was helping us. We had a very nice moment.
Breakfast was included. The location of hotel is far from the city center. We did rent car so we have to walk, back and for at least twice a day.
The hotel is in an awesome location, clean and comfortable.
spacious, clean and convenient
