After almost 10 years, I visited Villa Cagnola again, and not much has changed—which is, in a way, wonderful. The building still has a peaceful atmosphere, the gardens are as beautiful as ever, the staff are friendly, and parking is easy. We were given a pleasant room with a small balcony overlooking Gazzada. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was especially appreciated with temperatures above 35°C outside. Both the room and the bathroom were spacious enough for three or four people. The breakfast was very tasty, and there was always plenty of seating in the breakfast room. The hotel is also conveniently located near Milan, Como, and Lugano in Switzerland, making it an excellent base for short trips in the area.
