We arrived late and were welcomed by the owner. He was completely relaxed and very helpful and sweet. He even offered us breakfast the next morning at an earlier hour than they typically offer it. We had a little kitchenette and our room was cozy, the bedding warm enough. A bit off the beaten path, but would recommend this small gem. Ah, the owner also offered for us to come back and take showers after our long bike ride as he didn't have guests coming in. Just a very thoughtful and kind man.

Amazingly well remodeled. Enough modern comforts, but the architecture has been kept true to its rustic origins and it fits perfectly with the landscape.
Very quiet location, yet very close to Anghiari if you need anything. The kids really enjoyed the environment.

Pleasant stay, pleasant host. Very clean unit. Very beautiful and interesting Tuscan hill town. On site parking. A micro wave oven would be a final addition to a nice kitchen.

The location was perfect. It is a ten minute walk from the town, where there are restaurants and a small food shop, a bakery with wonderful bread and pastery, a butcher and a fruit and veg market. With fresh herbs offered from the owners’ garden you can make delicious meals easily. The quarters are nice with a great bathroom (shower). The owners could not be more friendly and gracious. But the crowning glory is the view. The terrace and lawn look across the Tiber Valley toward the Appennines—gorgeous at every time of day. I hope to return.

Anghiari is the perfect small town to visit. The people are so friendly and helpful. The views and the sunsets are amazing. Well worth staying there for a few days. Be choosy with your accommodation, there are some good and some not so good. But please enjoy Anghiari it really is lovely.

Beautiful Tuscan city on top of a hill, amazing view from the castle, the view from the side on the city is also very good. Lots of restaurants and shops but not too touristic. Nice flair and definately worth a visit (daytrip).

Anghiari is a charming, ancient village that has yet to be discovered by Americans, yet which was a lovely surprise for us...unlike other locales we visited in Italy, it was uncrowded. We enjoyed a fabulous meal at La Nena, which serves typical local cuisine.

Anghiari itself was a most attractive medieval town with magnificent views (and the artisan shop windows were beautifully dressed but I had not time to visit). I was attending the annual Southbank Sinfonia Music Festival and it was very special and the music and their organisation was of a very high standard.
Well worth a visit.
I can't remember the names of the two small but most attractive restaurants for a delicious evening meal.
Beautiful, magic place. The owner Paula is very friendly i helpful person. Moreover the place is located on the hill with romantic view for Valley. Villa is decorated with paintings, tradicional furniture and old books. In these beautiful surrondings we had time to relax on the swimming pool. From villa you can drive to Arezzo in 20min and to Siena in 1h 20 min. The closest is Anghiari - small and cosy town. We spent here great time and can't wait to come back.
A very special place to stay hidden in the hills above Anghiari. Cool even in a brutal heatwave, charming owners, and surrounded by nature (from butterflies to wild boar...). Simply furnished but comfortable, with a superb view from the terrace. Fresh herbs in pots, a gift of an apricot tart, all lovely. You do need a car, and to be happy to drive on narrow, steep, unmade roads but if I can, you can!
The Nero Gioconda hotel is situated right in the heart of the old historic centre of Anghiari, the view from the windows overs the Tuscan countryside were spectacular. The room itself was well proportioned with a beautiful modern bathroom, the bed was comfy and the complimentary coffee and water was a nice touch. I've included a picture of the view from my room.
