Location away from busy Malcesine central. Incredible mountain side view. Great pool and spa plus balcony overlooking lake Garda. Breakfast was excellent. Reception and restaurant staff 10/10 kudos to Emily on reception for her professionalism politeness and perseverance to solve any little issue on our arrival. We wanted to take her home to meet our son!!

The views take your breath away. And incredible slice of peace and paradise on the hills on Monte Baldo. The fact there’s only 8 rooms makes it feel really private and secluded.

This hotel is owned by the nicest family in the world! They are very friendly and they are very happy to help whenever needed. They also make the best breakfasts, excellent coffee, and their accommodation is in a beautiful location in the mountains, from where you can walk straight to beautiful hikes. I recommend all ten and I would love to go back there again.

It's a small town with a main city square in which You will...

It's a small town with a main city square in which You will find the church, city mall and other official building, mostly of the 16th century but of recent renovation. Close to the town You can visit the Castle of Avio (personally didn't have the chance to enter, but it's visible from the road). My main purpose of the visit was to enjoy the mountain area, which offers quite a number of well marked trekking trails.

The hotel is located in a convenient area and the rooms are comfortable with nice hot shower and air conditioners. The only downside was a super slow WiFi, which meant the Internet was nonexistent so it was a bit difficult to gather information to plan our trip during our four-day-stay. However this was offset by the friendly and efficient staff. Most of all, we were fascinated with the fabulous Italian breakfast that we looked forward to every morning. We will definitely come back for our next visit to Avio.

We had an amazing time at Rifugio Monte Baldo. We wanted to hike to the rifugio from Avio, but Ryanair lost our bags, and we had to change our plans. The host was very accommodating. He helped us organize a taxi and recommended local walks based on the weather conditions. We had a delicious five-course supper for €22, along with their house wine. We would love to stay at Rifugio Monte Baldo in summertime!
