Amazing hosts (we were on the start of a one month cycling trip amd they happily disposed of all our bike boxes and packingaterials). Cividale is a beautiful town and this is the perfect location. Spacious room. Nicely furnished. Fantastic breakfast included. One of the best places I have ever stayed in Europe.

The rifugio, which is an ex monastery, is very well and thoughtfully renovated, and located a bit out of the town. We enjoyed staying in a really unique room which inspired us to think about the history of this place, their inhabitants, nuns and monks. The owner is very nice and helpful, she took time to show us the old church and explained the history of the property. Close to the monestary there is a wonderful, even mystical garden full of lavandas, rosemarin, roses and other Mediterranean plants. Also the breakfast was delicious and served in an antique dinning room. Everything was super clean. We spent wonderful time in the rifugio and if comming back to Cividale, we will definitely choose again to stay here. If you like historical places and like to try something unusual, this place is worth trying.

The place was amazing with the magical charm of the wineyards, the owners very hospitable and nice people - great place to stay and recharge - an offer of great and tasty wines produced by the owner (bought 4 and got one extra free) - I have never encountered such hospitable behaviour from the host Highly recommend visit.
