The Hotel Antiche Terme is a quiet, charming, smaller, well equipped hotel situated on the Calore River, with excellent views of the countryside while being central to the historic district. My room was very large, with ten-foot ceiings and brand new wood floors. My bed was the way I like it, firm with a little bit of cushion. My room had a desk, a minibar, and plenty of lighting. Smart TV. My balcony view was of the river and a beautiful bridge, the city and the countryside. If you like a great views, make sure you book it with the river view. The bathroom is very nice, with an awesome shower. Good wifi. Garbriele is an excellent host and manager, his staff did a wonderful job cleaning my room daily. He was very helpful with local information. Breakfast offers all the coffees and baked goods you can hope for. It is easy to walk all around the old section of Benevento from the hotel, as you are near all of the great sites. Benevento is a true gem, and the Hotel Antiche Terme is part of that, situated as it is on top of an ancient Roman bath complex. I will stay here again.

The location is perfect with near by parking and a very good bakery. Apartment is walking distance to all of the attractions in town, with the Roman theater just outside the door. The unit itself is modern, well equipped and super clean. We couldnt be happier.

We stayed just one night at Luxury Room Suite Benevento as we needed a place to spend the night after a longer drive from Siena in Tuscany. Benevento the city it self truly surprised us and regret not staying longer to explore more. Our suite was perfect and exactly what was described in the photos and write up. We arrived later then expected but was able to still meet Angelo (a colleague of the suite) to collect the keys and be given the tour of the suite. It's located in the perfect part of town just with in the old city very close to safe parking lot where we kept our car. The suit has plenty of space, comfortable beds and bathrooms/shower. We didn't use the steamer or jacuzzi as we weren't there for long enough to do so. They even provided us with water, juice, coffee, cornetti, toast, jam and some small cookies for breakfast! Id recommend staying in this suite as its been renovated to be a very comfortable modern apartment with all the amenities you'd need for a short or long stay.

We loved the location of Benevento and thoroughly enjoyed...

We loved the location of Benevento and thoroughly enjoyed the city itself - the city center is very attractive. We spent 3 nights in Benevento in early October but we could have spent more. It's a perfect base for exploring surrounding areas like Naples and Campania in general. We enjoyed walking in the pedestrian friendly areas of the city center, especially in the evening, and we visited the Museum of Sannio and the adjacent Church of Santa Sophia, which was fantastic. There are additional museums there and we would have visited them if we had more time. The Janua Witch Museum looked especially interesting. Numerous options for restaurants and for shopping.

A hidden gem.

A hidden gem. There are a number of absolutely wonderful historic places to visit -- off the beaten path and amazing. It's a town that is not too big and not too small. Great restaurants and some good shopping.

Benevento is a beautiful town with lots of history.

Benevento is a beautiful town with lots of history. A refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of big cities. It's clean and the people are friendly. We loved our stay! The gelato is great. Also there is a bar in the park where you can enjoy a Spritz and listen to some music.

Lots of historical sites in Benevento, an often overlooked...

Lots of historical sites in Benevento, an often overlooked destination. The downtown center is very clean and seems brand new, due to the fact that it was heavily bombed during WWII and then rebuilt. There is an incredible Roman theater there along with a Lombard church from 700 BC, also the Arch of Trajan, one of the best preserved Roman structures in Italy. There's also a very interesting Samnite museum, Museo del Sannio. Lots to see. And good restaurants as well including Il Posto and Rosetta al Arco. Everything is closeby and easily walkable.

Apart from the Teatro Romano there is an interesting old town which is easily walkable. It is also a ggod base for exploring the area of the historic sites to the North of Napoli, such as the amphitheatre at Caserta. There are a small number of restaurants, but of good quality serving typical cuisine.

Benevento is a city and comune of Campania, Italy, capital of the province of Benevento, 50 kilometres northeast of Naples. It is situated on a hill 130 metres above sea level at the confluence of the Calore Irpino and the Sabato. In 2020, Benevento has 58,418 inhabitants. It is also the seat of a Catholic archbishop. The city is calm and quiet, offering bars and excellent restaurants, one of which I go to every time; Pampanini, probably the best one in town (in my opinion).

The housekeeper was very nice, kind and helpful. She prepared a beautiful breakfast to us every morning. The rooms very clean, quiet and big. The beds were really comfortable. There were really nice restaurants close to it. It was a 10 min walk from the Arco Traiano. The hotel is a little far away from the train station, so take a taxi from the station-otherwise you won't be able to find any. It took us approximately 40 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. But when you reach the hotel, you can do everything by walking.

The price was 75 each .. and it says 4 stars .. this was horrible , the hotel was used for old people , not as a real hotel it Seemed. All really poor standard. 75 euro is not much in europe , bit this shiuld have cost not even half . Towels with holes in it , 1 person bed , small , no extra blankets etc etc
