Immersed in a vast park with deers and roe deers, Cà Palazzo Malvasia is housed in 17th-century stables later converted into a beautiful villa. It is located 2.5 mi from the center of Sasso Marconi. This was the second best B&B in which we've had the pleasure of staying (the best was in Malaga, Spain). It is the perfect Italian B&B. Very clean, very quiet. Beautiful grounds surrounding the well built and very well maintained rooms. Multiple generous common areas. Great water pressure, lots of hot water. Lovely staff who are friendly and accommodating. Security is second to none (two locked gates on the entrance road, three locked doors, completely fenced grounds). Very close to a TrenItalia rail line station (Borgonuovo stop) for convenient access to Bologna's Centrale station. Victoria in particular was very sweet and helpful in spite of us not speaking Italian. The delightful town of Sasso Marconi is very near for restaurants, ATM and fuel stations.
Providing garden views, Le Mingarine B&B in Sasso Marconi provides accommodations, free bikes, a garden, a bar, a shared lounge and barbecue facilities. everything was wonderful. the owners very nice and helpful. the wife is an excellent chef. one morning i asked for an egg and i saw her go out to a chicken coop and come back with an egg. can't get much fresher than that. i asked about an antique shop and she got in her car and took me there. the house is beautiful, the view from their olive grove is breath taking, there is a huge vege garden for fresh food, just wonderful. certainly no complaints
Surrounded by hills of Bologna and a 10-minute drive from the city center, Casa Fluò Relais offers a restaurant and refined rooms decorated with eco-friendly materials. The property is a beautiful country house with greenery everywhere. The restaurant has one of the most amazing views we saw our entire trip of Italy and the food was amazing, including the provided breakfast which included home made bread with preserves and butter, coffee, juices, yogurt, fruit grown on the property, pastries, and eggs (which were made fresh if you opted for them). The people working were so friendly and accommodating even though they were busy harvesting and process the grapes from their vineyard. The restaurant menu was delicious and the staff were very friendly and we were lucky enough that a couple of them spoke good english too!
Set in a 108268 ft² park, Hotel Ca' Vecchia is in Sasso Marconi. It is made up of 3 buildings, the main one dates back to the 1700s, and features a traditional restaurant serving Emilia-Romagna... Comfortable rooms in what was an old farmstead. The restaurant on the premises is very good (cucina bolognese). We slept in December but I am sure that in the spring or summer it's a nicer experience since the hotel is in a park/farm.
