Hotel La Campagnola, Il Gattopardo, and Hotel Santa Chiara are some of the popular hotels in Capo Vaticano.
The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and spacious. The wifi and speed was amazing. The food was good. The breakfast was not entirely free as the website suggests. The lunch buffet was delicious and loved the female bartender at the snack shack by the pool who helped us. The hotel was not a 4 star as it states and the neighbourhood surrounding the hotel is poor and run down, not safe to walk around at night. There is no iron available for hotel guests. The hotel pool needs to be fixed and maintained. The tiles are missing throughout the pool and the pool has algae growing on the side tiles. The beach made up for the pool. We had to buy towels as the hotel did not supply towels for pool/beach, 10 Euros a towel at the local market. The ocean floor is rocky and slimy and its very difficult to get in. We were not prepared to deal with the rockiness of the beach and needed to buy water shoes.
It is a resort where you will enjoy your time even if you don’t want to step outside of the property. Lush gardens, excellent pool area, cozy bar and lunch restaurant and beautiful outdoor setting for dinner. There is a separate entertaining facility for kids with animators, a well equipped gym, small boutique, bike rental, and of course the beach with beds and clean towels! Staff members are very kind and supportive.
One of the most stunning coastlines I have visited, I’ve traveled to many exotic places but this was simply naturally stunning. Water and beach perfect. Hunt out private parking much cheaper than the meter. We have since returned for a second trip and sure it will be a regular on our wish list. Do yourself a favor and pop in to Eden Village for some amazing food, mainly European delights not just Italian ..
Nice beaches with dramatic background but be aware that this place is full of holiday spending Italians (which is good as this place is still real Italian one) bringing with it lots of cars, people, loud parties of very low quality, and surprisingly enough very low quality of pizza and pasta in many restaurants primarily set up just for the season (I guess plumbers and carpenters are cooking there). If people in my country would be served food I was served in several pizzerias in Capo Vaticano they would never come again and the places would go bankrupt. Sad.... as this has nothing to do with excellent Italian cuisine I was served in Italian cities.
Beautiful Beaches.....Best to go early Morning or late Afternoon as its not so hot. Local Produce Wonderful, but it pays to buy direct from Producers or from the Small Villages, (Shops in the Towns and by beach more expensive and not so good). You need to have a car to be truly mobile, but the train services are quite good and Cheap, (If a little overfilled!)
Capo Vaticano is one of the really beautiful pearls of Calabria. It is clean, quiet and relaxed which distinguishes it from the rest of the region that can be really dirty, with trash lying all along the roads, and stressful to drive through. Beaches are nice and not at all crowded in June and the first half of July. Friendly and hospitable people, good food, relaxed ambiance. Plenty of good restaurants to choose from, my recommendations: Campagnola, Eolo (hotel) and a fish restaurant by the main road. Not sure of the name, but there's a sign by the road with Pescheria / Gastronomia written on it. Prices are normal and lower than you might expect. In my opinion you don't need to stay at a hotel, just choose a B&B. We stayed at Gracceland and were very pleased with everything. Capo Vaticano is quite high so it can be a long walk to the beach depending on where you stay. We drove to the beach and parked at the free parking (marked white) 50 - 100 m above it. If these are full you can still avoid expensive parking (2€ per hour) by using one of the private parking areas (5€ per day). It is however a bad starting point if you wish to drive around Calabria. It takes about an hour to get to the motorway. In my opinion it is quite enough if you visit Tropea, Pizzo, San Nicolo, Spilinga and Zungri. All within a one hour drive from Capo. Also there are organized tours to Eolian islands daily.
Capo Vaticano
Above all it is the beach and the atmosphere we liked most. The beach is small but there is enough space to enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Thyrennian sea. All the staff is very friendly and helpful creating a great atmosphere where you can relax perfectly. The apartment has a spacious veranda overlooking the sea. The coffee bar is great for having a small breakfast and watching the beautiful sunset with a drink in your hand and listening to the waves.
Capo Vaticano
The views, beaches, nearby restaurants, pool and patio outside apartment were pleasant. The free shuttle takes you to and from the beach whenever you want between 9.30 and 1 and 4 to 7pm and the walk to the beach with assigned umbrellas and lounges is short and easily doable by fit people and children. Only 5 min drive to some restaurants with a fantastic view of the Stromboli vulcano also made it worthwhile.
Capo Vaticano
The location is fantastic with stunning sea views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was comfortable offering everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was OK but the setup could be improved, due to COVID restrictions the hotel was serving from a small service door that was a little awkward with the other hotel guests.
Capo Vaticano
The apartment was very beautiful, spacious, clean and well equipped, located in the stunning place Capo Vaticano. The beach was within walking distance, supermarket was about 5 minute walk and just next door to the apartments there is a small market with home made pickles, marmelades and veggies. Strongly reccommend!

Capo Vaticano
We loved the resort. The pool was fabulous, the meals were very good our room was fine. The parking was very good and very close. The staff in the dining room were very nice and helpful. They brought us lots of ice for our drinks which we Americans love!
It's a beachfront hotel, rooms have AC, the breakfast was nice, late in the evening when we arrived the staff opened the little grocery store of the hotel just for us, and we liked the atmosphere of the bar in the eve.
Loved swimming in the pool, and they had a delicious breakfast and dinner options at the restaurant. Staff was very helpful and we enjoyed seeing the animals they have eon the property. Free shuttle to the beach!
We enjoyed the beautiful pool and the location of the hotel. The staff at the front desk was very helpful. Francesca and Jessica and all the others were great. No request was too much for them.
Good Location with great Beach & Pool Nicely presented Hotel with good Facilities. Very Clean throughout and spacious comfortable room
Capo Vaticano
Swimming pool and beautiful garden around it are the main advantage of that place, it’s really best place to spend a day in Calabria.
