Immersed in the Gallipoli Cognato Natural Park, this hotel is 0.6 mi from the Volo dell’Angelo zip-line. Rooms offer a balcony with panoramic views of the Lucan Dolomites. It is easy to find the location by car inclusive a good parking place. Salvatore is an excellent host, speakes very good English and is very helpfully! The diner for vegetarian was delicious! We had a very good breakfast on the terrace. So we recommand La Locanda di Castromediano in all respects.
With panoramic views of the Lucanian Dolomites, Al Balcone delle Dolomiti is located in the unique town of Castelmezzano. The B&B offers free Wi-Fi and features a shared terrace and lounge. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable. Very beautiful view from the balcony, perfect locations to enjoy a truly stunning mountain vista. I would stay again for sure.
Located in Castelmezzano, 22 mi from Potenza, La casa nel verde features a garden and free WiFi. Big rooms, very clean and a kitchen to do your own cooking if you want It's a bit out of town but Pasquale drove us in and picked us up whenever we wanted. He is super helpful
Agriturismo Grotta Dell'Eremita is actually composed of an ancient village dating back to the 14th century. It offers traditional Basilicata cooking and a quiet location, 3.1 mi outside Castelmezzano.... Great atmosphere in the middle of nothing therefore really quiet. Clean rooms and interesting dinner (not included)
Located in Castelmezzano in the Basilicata region, B&B La Bella Vista has a balcony and city views. This bed and breakfast features a shared kitchen and free WiFi. Absolutely incredible. We greeted by sweet Angela. She helped us to find parking and took as to the apartment. Don't pack too heavy as there are a lot of steps to reach the properly but so so so worth it. The property is stunning and the views are just breath taking. Absolutely world class. Would definitely recommend and definitely coming back hopefully soon.
Featuring a bar, Mirutt Holiday Home & Wellness provides accommodations in Castelmezzano with free WiFi and mountain views. The accommodations is 27 mi from Atena Lucana. It was everything they advertised. Very clean, comfortable, and spacious. We felt as if we were at home.
Set in Castelmezzano, Casa del Mago offers accommodations with a balcony and free WiFi. The accommodations is 11 mi from Pietrapertosa. Castelmezzano is a breathtaking place - and to stay in a stone-house halfway carved into the mountain top an exceptional experience. We realized that there were a lot of BnBs around, but since we were travelling in the midst of the Corona-pandemic and there were hardly any tourists, we had a wonderfully authentic experience in Lucanian life. The apartement was super comfy, internet and heating worked without problems, and we quickly got used to the fact that we had to climb a few stairs to our bathroom, which was tiny but spotlessly clean, and also superwell heated in the cold mountain night. Both Pierfrancesco and Michelangelo were welcoming hosts. Thank you!
Set in Castelmezzano, Casa delle Stelle offers accommodations with a balcony and free WiFi. The property features mountain views and is 26 mi from Atena Lucana. The apartment was excellent--clean, newly renovated, comfortable bed (and bedding), and had stunning views of the town.
Castelmezzano is just wonderful, it's location, setting and scenery are superb truly justified by its World Heritage Site status. Lovely small alleyways to meander along, houses perched atop a hillside incredible experience to have visited this beautiful place. Best time to avoid is at weekends when the place gets very busy and parking is a problem as the village imposes a traffic free zone. For those really adventurous daredevils, they even have a 'Zipwire' experience with limited opening times? Il Nostro Ristorante is the perfect place to end your day for dinner or if you prefer lunch, their kitchen is first class approaching 'Cordon Bleu' standard. Salvatore will make your visit there very worthwhile and you will not be disappointed. 😊
Stunning. Must be the most dramatically positioned town in Italy. The view alone is worth the visit, but there are lots of other activities such as the Zipline, hiking, and rock climbing for the more adventurously inclined.
A most amazing hilltop place - stunning scenery by day and almost fairy tale by night! Slight problem in following the signs to find the Castel and in the end actually gave up! However, people incredibly friendly and welcoming.
We stopped off here on our way from Naples to Ostuni, and it was the perfect place to break the journey. The views across the valley are spectacular. We did go in search of the famous zip wire, but it is not well signposted so we couldn't find it - if we had had more time, we would have tracked it down and given it a go. We ate at a restaurant at a local Agritourismo, off the road to the town. We were two of only six diners in a huge dining room, but the food and wine were wonderful and the staff were very friendly, despite our reliance on Google Translate.
Castelmezzano is beautiful , very few tourists , slow country feel, very warm and interested people . It's only small so midweek not much open , lunch can be an issue here and in neighbouring village Pietrapertosa (do not follow google maps or car sat nav road linking villages , has been closed for 3 years , head back to E847 then next exit away from Potenza . we did , found one restaurant Piccolo Le Rocce but as we had to park at top of village and it was at bottom gave it a miss and instead went to Azienda Grotta dell'Eremita which was good and on way up to Castelmezzano . The food at La Locanda di Castromediano where we stayed was amazing , beautiful vews and great stay
It is not that easy to get to, but the view is great. And the village looks incredible, it is a very good place to visit. There are not that many places to eat, but the people are very nice and helpful and really do their best to make turists feel at home.
Great atmosphere in the middle of nothing therefore really quiet. Clean rooms and interesting dinner (not included)
