Located 0.9 mi from Certaldo Train Station, Osteria Del Vicario offers a garden and free Wi-Fi. Guests can enjoy local Tuscan cuisine at the restaurant. The building, garden and the panoramic view from garden were stunning. The dinner was very delicious and the osteria was a boutique fine dining restaurant. Each dish was explained to me from each ingredient to another. Erik was so polite and knows the hospitality very well in deed.

Featuring a vast garden with swimming pool and a traditional restaurant, Agriturismo Cameli is a characteristic Tuscan farmhouse. Guest rooms overlook the surrounding vineyards and olive groves. Nice large room with more than required facilities, Aircon was a bit noisy at full blast but kept the room just as cool in a more silent mode. Great bed, good breakfast. I liked the pool, had a few swims to cool down in between trips.

With a large outdoor pool and panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside, Podere Benintendi offers free Wi-Fi and air conditioned rooms. Bike rental is available. Location and view : there is no doubt the the site location up on the peak of the hill that exposes you to 360 degrees of green landscape was an important factor in the decision to stay here. Breakfast : when we got home (to original land) we were looking for breakfast, that says it all. speacial thanks to the staff that considering our limitation in some of the food like (pork) and provided an alternatives. Animals husbandry : the family raises a great dog golden retriever named "Riva" and a furry cat named "Anita", it enriches our children's stay. Laundry on site for a ridiculous price.

Certaldo
Antica Torre del Borgo is located in a medieval building in Certaldo, 19 mi from Florence and 22 mi from Siena. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Authentic experience in medieval tower: combo of old and new was good. Good breakfast, agreeable host. Incredible view.
This Medieval Borgo ranks among the most important in Italy for its history and access to both Florence and Siena. Additionally, this town is the birthplace of Giovanni Boccaccio and his featured in his major literature piece, The Decameron. The new part of town is accessible with simple 10 minutes walks or via a mini railway (for a charge of €1,50); but you can also drive, thanks to the host who will manage getting the required permits. Certaldo is very small but it sits at the crossroad of major communication roads, therefore it's easy to access Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Florence, and even Pisa.
It's very pretty hilltop settlement but you can see everything in half an hour. The funicular is fun but a little restrictive if you need to leave early. There are some great restaurants. It's the ideal stop-off for lunch if you are traveling back to Pisa from further south in Tuscany but not a great base for wider exploration.
Certaldo is very beautiful! Go to see the old town. There is enough space for parking near the funicolare, the transport up hill. Certaldo is central for visiting Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra and Florence. And you'll be driving through the most romantic landscape.
We visited the old city of Certaldo in 2 hours. New part not much shopping or restaurants. Supermarket we visited as we had a kitchen and stayed 5km out. Close to other old towns worth visiting like Volterra. We bought olive oil and wine from our accomodation which we loved.
We stayed only one night in Certaldo which was probably too short.. The Covid pandemic was happening whilst we were there, which meant it wasn't overly busy. In fact I would call it peaceful. It's a lovely old town with plenty of good places to enjoy the best if the local cuisine. It also has a Fernicular train to take you down to the more modern town down the hill. There are panaramic views across the beautiful Tuscan landscape as far as San Gimignano, and also plenty of interesting views of the town as you wander the back streets. It may not be so peaceful next time, but I am sure that we will return.
Has a famous walled town at the top of the hill connected via a funicular, or bus. Excellent train connections make it a central point for Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Sienna and San Giminiano. Lots of eating places and an excellent Cafe outside the train station
Certaldo
Our room - Rosemary - had just an amazing view, wonderful seating area , comfy bed , and a terrific shower. The location , in the heart of Certaldo , cant be beat . The host Sasha , sent us all the info we needed to drive in to the LTZ , unload , and park . Excellent communication , and a nice breakfast. Probably the prettiest view we had in our days in Tuscany - it was a shame we only stayed one night. Certaldo is charming , well worth a visit off the beaten path.
Certaldo
Fantastic views, especially from the yard and the pool. Quiet and relaxing. Traditional agriturismo in the middle of the Tuscan hills and its amazing landscapes. The hosts are friendly and kind. Perfect location: off the main roads but centrally located for every tourist destination we wanted to reach within 1h (Certaldo, San Gimignano, Siena, Volterra, Firenze, Chianti valley, etc.). Pisa and Lucca in 1h20; still good for us.
Certaldo
Everything was fine. We never met the host, as there was a self check-in, but he was always in touch providing all necessary information, and we did not feel neglected in our trip. Huge apartment, nice kitchen fully equipped, good beds. Certaldo is worth seeing by itself, and we had great daily trips around (San Gimignano, Siena, Florence are within one hour of reach by train). It was a nice stay for a short vacation.
We made a wonderful few days at this boutique style hotel, one of the loveliest I've stayed at in Italy. An old building, full of beautiful things, the hotel is in a stunning hill top location overlooking the town. Alfred our host was helpful in every way, providing us with tea making paraphernalia for our room quickly when requested. We loved the jazz vibe in the bar.
Certaldo
Lovely place, the hosts were really nice and really made us feel "at home". There's a lot of room on the property to go for short walks or simply sit around and enjoy nature. The views were amazing and the cat gets extra bonus points. :) Very close to Certaldo, which is definitely worth a visit, with it's cable car and castle.
Certaldo
Lucia is the sweetest host. Just stunning. You can walk to the old town and the pool is a nice refreshment and has a beautiful view. And it is the perfect place to start excursions from into all other cities in Tuscany.

Loved the outside, the classic views of Tuscany. Wonderful staff (Ute is the kindest person). Great location. The wine tasting by Donato was super. Will return !!

This property is absolutely quintessential Tuscany. it feels like stepping into a movie set. The view is breathtaking and the staff are very kind and helpful.
