Enjoy the comfort, the sea views and the friendly service at this 3-star hotel set on the seaside promenade of Chiavari, home of beautiful blue-flag beaches. Amazing staff, friendly and kind. Best breakfast I had in Italy. I took my dogs, they were just fine, all amazing. Very clean, nice view of the beach, close to the restaurants and to the beach.
The Hotel Monte Rosa is in the historic center of Chiavari, and is managed by the Bacigalupo family since the beginning of the 20th century. Everything was great, the staff, the room and it's very convenient located in the center of the city close to everything.
This family-run hotel is set in the heart of Chiavari, 656 feet from the seafront promenade. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, and homemade bread for breakfast. The location in town was excellent and very handy to the station to go to Cinque Terre. Also very close by was the lovely old part of town & good restaurants.
Hotel Ferrari is in the heart of Chiavari, close to the train station, the historic center of town, and the seaside promenade. Fully refurbished in 2006, it offers modern and spacious rooms. The breakfast was awesome with wide variety of options to suit the taste, the people at Reception were very friendly and very hospitable... The places is clean and hygienic and staff are also very polished and handle special requests well.. Baby crib was provided.
Located in Chiavari, Cà do Franco offers accommodations with a balcony or a terrace, free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a shared lounge. The room was very tastefully furnished, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was great. We liked the Italian breakfast, the good cappuccino and the fresh and delicious brioches. Ham and fried eggs with tomatoes were on offer, too. Our host was very friendly, she even showed us where to park our car when we had arrived. It was a wonderful experience to stay in a typically Italian, very elegant residence that took us back in time. In order to get to Cà do Franco on the second floor make sure you take the lift. :-)
Located in Chiavari, Filoverde has a garden and a bar. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, room service and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi. The breakfasts were fantastic, fresh, diverse, delicious. The staff was very kind an accommodating. The Junior Suite was so comfortable. The beds were good. Nice to have a full refrigerator with ice! The location was great, easy walk to the center of Chiavari but far from the crowds and heat. There was a nice breeze through the area and out door dining.

Chiavari was a good centre to stay and visit the surrounding area, with a good train service. Eating out was generally expensive, but we found a little restaurant favoured by the locals, and ate there regularly. We visited in late September though, and it was clearly the end of the season, and a little too quiet, especially in the evenings, when you would expect the locals to be out and about. Boat trips to Portofino had stopped, shops were open for fewer hours, some not at all.
Lots to explore. Friendly people. The old town was 'industrial' so not as picturesque as some Italian towns but still very interesting. Eating out -. We were spoiled for choice, each restaurant visited had its own specials, and the ice creams!
even if it was my 3th time in this town, I discovered a lot of new nice things: a cinema in an amazing theater, The Botanic park, the Gorgeous Cathedral, the amazing clean pebble beach, il mercatto del anticuariato or street merchandise. But the best was the friendly people and the unique food (sea food and bakery)
A bustling traditional Italian city. Easily accessible to Cinque Terre, Positano and other seaside towns by train or boat. Can walk to beach, port and train station. Really good restaurants all in city center. Osteria Moderna (Via Vittorio Veneto, 7), excellent. Offers a new and innovative twist to traditional Italian food. Must try the linguini with clams in mint sauce!

Excellent location near to the centre of this charming small city. The swimming pool and terrace are especially well appointed. Our room had recently been refurbished to a high standard with plenty of space in both the bedroom and the bathroom.

We stayed only one night. This is not a hotel, it is a guest house. It has big shared balcony and we liked it. We could use the kitchen to prepare the breakfast. Supermarket is just around the corner. I recommend this place.

The female staff on reception tried their best to help us, but the manager / owner is such an aggressive and unreasonable person I feel sorry for his staff working there.

The hotel is family owned and run. Everyone is a delight. They greet you with a smile and are always helpful. One of the best and largest breakfast buffets ever seen.
