Everything!!!! Beautiful place!!!! The location of the hotel is gorgeous with a breathtaking view, that will stay with you forever. The hotel is a beautiful well kept and clean cottage. The owners and staff are very sweet and gentle people. They are very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a very peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast and food at the hotel is delicious with local products and many options to choose from. It is close to Dobbiaco Center, close to the ski lodge and a 20 min drive to San Candido and Lago Braies.

The spa was super grande! We did not expect to find so many facilities in the wellness centre. So we were pleasantly surprised. Also the breakfast is phenomenal. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was outstandingly nice. We chose to stay for another time during our holiday.

Perfect location, big room and super clean. Decent cold breakfast and ebike charging possible in a secure room; easy parking too. Best of all, staff were so incredibly nice, friendly and helpful. Thank you Urthaler Hotel to make our MTB holiday in the fantastic Dolomiten so wonderful and memorable.

The hotel was much better than I was expecting. It was even bigger, than looked on a picture. When we came, we didn't realize it at the first sight. The woman at reception was very friendly and she even gave us free bus ticket for 7 days. The dinner was just great including few different plates. The hotel is lovely decorated with old furniture and wooden tools. And there is a very nice wellness center in the hotel. So, it was a pleasure to stay here before our 11 days hike in Dolomite mountains.

Dobbiaco is a really beautiful town.

Dobbiaco is a really beautiful town. There is a train station for trips to other nearby towns or into Austria. The bus service is excellent. You can go for hikes up the Dolomites and reach the famous three peaks. So much to do. The drinking water is amazing.

Nice village, easy to stroll around - few shops, caffees, restaurant available. Great for cross country skiing - Dobbiaco is linked with all neighbour villages and long distance trails are also starting from here. Easy access by car and skibus to 3Zinnen ski lifts.

The town of Dobbiaco is great if you're planning on...

The town of Dobbiaco is great if you're planning on exploring the Dolomites. It may not be as central as Cortina d'Ampezzo, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper. Lot's of beautiful locations are still within about a 40 minute drive. Which is what we did. We didn't explore Dobbiaco itself that much. Only went there for eating out or groceries, usually at the end of the day after a long day of hiking. The outside parts of the town feels rural, but the center has a lovely old church and reminds you this place has been around for quite some time. Rural or not, it still has plenty of places to eat out or shop for groceries. One pub was quite nice and had two tables full of local farmers who got together, laughing and sipping wine, probably after a hard day's of work. As a tourist, I'd say there was a lovely relaxed, quiet vibe around town.

One of the most beautiful locations at this part of Italy.

One of the most beautiful locations at this part of Italy. Excellent for all kinds of hiking, from comfortable walks to high mountain routes. Do not forget to visit lake Landro and Austro-Hungarian fort Landro.

Excellent place to start AltaVia1 trek.

Excellent place to start AltaVia1 trek. Easily accessible by train from Treviso when buses don’t connect, gas canisters available from hardware store in village, home cooked Tyrolean dinner in Weber’s gasthof.

The place is a boutique, modern yet atmospheric and authentic hotel, located in a quiet part of Dobbiaco, in beautiful natural floral meadows. Everything is organized with precision and great attention to detail: from impeccable cleanliness, through maintenance, to the assistance of helpful and kind staff and the owner. The staff communicates easily in multiple languages. Breakfasts were probably the best I ever had in any hotel. The place is perfect for a calm and relaxing stay.

We booked half board with no expectations about the meals. Why should we be surprised at how lovely the food was [given we're in Italy] but the 5 course evening meal was really lovely and the breakfasts were perfect. We were given a take away breakfast one morning as we were heading to Tre Cime for sunrise, and the take away was outstandingly good. Our room was spacious. Parking is plentiful. Relaxation areas of the hotel are good if you choose to use them.

Super modern and amazing hotel very close to the beginning of the Alta Via 1 trail at Lago di Braies. Staff were very helpful and accomodating to all of our needs. We had a fantastic time staying at The Post Mountain residence.
