United KingdomI received a very warm welcome, even though I arrived early.
The room was small but perfectly comfortable for one person. It was spotlessly clean. The view was of a street but this wasn't a beach holiday for me, so I didn't mind. The accommodation was close to the main piazzas, restaurants, bars etc.. As someone walking the Via Francigena, this was perfect for me. Thank you.

Fondi is my husbands home town; we were mainly visiting family. We did take a trip to the church on top of the mountain and visited the castle. Not far from Fondi there are beautiful beaches (we chose Terracina).

Fondi is my ancestral town.
Fondi is my ancestral town. My mother and paternal grandmother come from Fondi.
It is a lovely, small, friendly town, just loaded with ancient history. The best way to learn about a country, is to get to see how the locals live. It is the best experience.
Fondi is older than Rome itself.
It was a main town on the Via Appia, and the top wine producer favored by the emperors of Rome. Livia, wife of emperor Augustus was from Fondi.
It sits in a plain at the foot of the Aurunci mountains, and the ocean.
It is 15 minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy.
Rome and Naples are a train ride away from Fondi.
By car you can visit many local historical small towns and WWII sites, like Monte Cassino.
Also available by bus or train.

Fondi is a lively functioning town with all the faculties of a big city but the coziness of a village. It is close to both Rome and Naples for day trips. It is semi tropical and has lush vegetation and incredible fruits, vegetables and the fresh fish of course.

We’re so pleased to come here again! The owner and his wife are always kind and friendly which made us feel like at home. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. And we are so appreciated that the owner drove us to the station. Fondi is a lovely town, we hope to come back in the future! Grazie mille!!

I’ve got a clean and cozy room at a fairly affordable price. I asked owners about any restaurants open, they kindly let me know many options. I reckon this place is pretty good so if i ever visit Fondi again, i would probably stay here.
