The hotel's location, the staff's attitude, and their helpfulness were all excellent. Everything was even better than we imagined. The cleanliness of the rooms, the prompt fulfillment of our requests, the recommendations for places to visit in Rome, and they even organized a free tour on the day we visited—but we couldn't join because we had already made other plans. Overall, it was an experience that surpassed our expectations.

During our short two-day stay at Relais Vatican, we were truly impressed by how wonderful the experience was. The place is spotless, comfortable, and incredibly welcoming — but what made our stay truly special was Claudia. Her exceptional hospitality, constant care, and thoughtful suggestions about what to do in the area transformed our visit into something unforgettable. Claudia’s kindness and attention to detail were the heart of our experience, turning even a brief stay into a meaningful one. It was, without a doubt, a true masterclass in hospitality. We left feeling grateful, cared for, and eager to return. Highly recommended.

We loved the location - the setting of Aeneas Landing is stunning and hard to beat. The cabins on the beach (where we stayed) are so close to the sea, and it's lovely to hear the waves. The architecture of the resort is really special and distinctive - we particularly love the pool and bar area. All of the planting and garden spaces are gorgeous. The beach is well-maintained and perfect for relaxing on. The breakfast is amazing - the best cornetti I've ever had in Italy! Honestly wonderful. We also had lunch in the restaurant one afternoon. I am from the area and find the prices very inflated, but what we had (3 contorni) was delicious. One evening, we had some family come to visit us at the bar. We all had one (expensive) drink, but the staff brought out an incredible spread of aperitivi snacks. A nice touch.

Hotel la Playa was located right on the beach and situated right on the main road where all the restaurants and shops were. The hotel pool is incredible, clean, large and deep (with a shallow end as well). The beach is gorgeous and there is a hotel lifeguard on the beach to keep the clientele and their things safe. Hotel accommodations included beach beds and umbrellas which was a huge relief. The included breakfast was very good with many options and the cappuccino was delicious. The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. We strongly recommend Hotel la Playa for your stay in Sperlonga and will return without a doubt!

We arrived very open minded - our first visit to Ponza turned out to be an amazing holiday. Rooms are nice, not very big, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. A good breakfast is offered in a beautiful garden (the best torta di mele), excellent choice of fresh frutis, cold cuts, eggs… needless to say, excellent coffee. But, above everything, friendly and helpful staff are the soul of the hotel…and the spa. Probably the best we have ever seen - so charming and so different than any other spa you will find in the world. What a jewel, we must be back….

Most of all, the staff - the ladies on Reception (Francesca especially) were delightful and so helpful when we decided to stay on for an extra night. The restaurant staff achieved the perfect balance between being friendly and yet professional. The beach is fantastic, the food is great, my room had a balcony with sea view - couldn't have asked for more really. The location between Gaeta and Sperlonga is perfect for visiting either town. The lifts all over the hotel made getting around so easy.

The stay was unexpectedly good, the room was more spacious than I thought, we had hot water even in the morning, the bed was very comfortable and the sheets were warm. Staff was very welcoming, we were even invited to leave our luggage until check-in time because we arrived earlier. cons: I would have liked the rooms to be thermally and soundproofed, because we could hear neighbours whispering and talking.

Really nice camping in the shade of old trees. The bungalow was well equipped, clean. The kitchen was equipped with all necessary equipment. Small terrace had barrier, so kids/dogs can't run out. The mini market had fresh bread and basic groceries. The beach is nice, clean, part with dogs is just next to the non-dog area. Both has umbrellas and sun beds.

The hotel is excellent. The staff member informed me that my room had been upgraded, but I was surprised to find that the new room was actually smaller and not like the one I originally booked. I have been to Rome several times, this time I felt most safe, it was busy but it wasn't too crowded. Recommend getting the Express train to Termini to save some money- we psid €45 at a desk in the airport for 4 one way tickets- much cheaper than a taxi and our hotel was not too far from Termini. On the return we bought 4 tickets at the machine (select mini- group option on the screen) and they cost €40 for 4 tickets. Its cheaper to buy 4 together rather than separately. Recommend booking Colesseum/Forum guided tour- its super. We also pre booked St Peter's Basilica, had to queue for about 35 minutes to get through security though. All in all Rome is a beautiful city with loads to do and most of it is very walkable. Biggest tip...wear flat shoes!!

We stayed in Fiuggi as our daughter was staying in the same area for her college football tournament. We ate at a few nice restaurants - bistro and GoGo. Would recommend visiting here for an evening meal. There is a bar across from the hotel - lots of different beers to try. Lots of bars and shops in close proximity to each other. Accessible by foot. Supermarket well stocked with lots of basic essentials.

We have been to Rome previously. but it was a while ago.

We have been to Rome previously. but it was a while ago. We spent a long weekend - 3 days, visiting the sites and trying out all the food Rome has to offer. If you are a foodie, beware of all the restaurants that local tourists frequent - even those with top reviews, their food is made to cater for the tourist pallet and you will be disappointed if you are looking for authentic Roman food. Avoid places with huge menus - even more so if written in English! Look for blackboards with menus, usually places more tucked away or on the fridges of the city.
