We really liked the area of the hotel, it seemed like real Italians lived there, lots of different cafes and places to relax in the evening. Next to the hotel is a fabulous garden with many cultural objects, it is definitely worth buying a ticket and seeing them. The metro is also super close. There were very comfortable beds and a good breakfast.

We loved the location - the setting of Aeneas Landing is stunning and hard to beat. The cabins on the beach (where we stayed) are so close to the sea, and it's lovely to hear the waves. The architecture of the resort is really special and distinctive - we particularly love the pool and bar area. All of the planting and garden spaces are gorgeous. The beach is well-maintained and perfect for relaxing on. The breakfast is amazing - the best cornetti I've ever had in Italy! Honestly wonderful. We also had lunch in the restaurant one afternoon. I am from the area and find the prices very inflated, but what we had (3 contorni) was delicious. One evening, we had some family come to visit us at the bar. We all had one (expensive) drink, but the staff brought out an incredible spread of aperitivi snacks. A nice touch.

Hotel la Playa was located right on the beach and situated right on the main road where all the restaurants and shops were. The hotel pool is incredible, clean, large and deep (with a shallow end as well). The beach is gorgeous and there is a hotel lifeguard on the beach to keep the clientele and their things safe. Hotel accommodations included beach beds and umbrellas which was a huge relief. The included breakfast was very good with many options and the cappuccino was delicious. The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. We strongly recommend Hotel la Playa for your stay in Sperlonga and will return without a doubt!

We arrived very open minded - our first visit to Ponza turned out to be an amazing holiday. Rooms are nice, not very big, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. A good breakfast is offered in a beautiful garden (the best torta di mele), excellent choice of fresh frutis, cold cuts, eggs… needless to say, excellent coffee. But, above everything, friendly and helpful staff are the soul of the hotel…and the spa. Probably the best we have ever seen - so charming and so different than any other spa you will find in the world. What a jewel, we must be back….

Most of all, the staff - the ladies on Reception (Francesca especially) were delightful and so helpful when we decided to stay on for an extra night. The restaurant staff achieved the perfect balance between being friendly and yet professional. The beach is fantastic, the food is great, my room had a balcony with sea view - couldn't have asked for more really. The location between Gaeta and Sperlonga is perfect for visiting either town. The lifts all over the hotel made getting around so easy.

Location was amazing for getting into the city. Also great supermarket across the road for stocking up the fridge and steakhouse a couple of minutes away. The food at the campsite restaurant was really tasty and we had a few nights with a live band that everyone loved! The most important thing for us was that our 15 year old son would enjoy his time there and the basketball court attracted lots of kids of all ages and they all played well together and had loads of fun. A total hit!!!

Rome is a very special Capital city, unlike most other capitals. It is vast, and has everything to offer. Single and female travellers, should always be cautious, but not deterred, as long as youmapply common sense, nothing unpleasant will happen. The food and wine is something you should experience and areas like Trastevere are a must. Meandering though the little cobbled streets, you will witness past & present existence in an incredible setting. I am already planning my return to this mesemerising city.

We stayed in Fiuggi as our daughter was staying in the same area for her college football tournament. We ate at a few nice restaurants - bistro and GoGo. Would recommend visiting here for an evening meal. There is a bar across from the hotel - lots of different beers to try. Lots of bars and shops in close proximity to each other. Accessible by foot. Supermarket well stocked with lots of basic essentials.

Gaeta is an ancient city with plenty of history to discover.

Gaeta is an ancient city with plenty of history to discover. A weekend may suffice to enjoy the local attractions and taste the typical cuisine, which excels with seafood. In summertime, the place gets very busy and expensive due to the fabulous beaches, especially Serapo Beach. However, in mid-seasons and even during winter, it is worth a visit if one is interested in less-known destinations.

The hotel was convenient for what we needed, an overnight stay close to the highway on our way into Rome. The staff was great, the facilities were clean, but definitely below par.
