We loved the location - the setting of Aeneas Landing is stunning and hard to beat. The cabins on the beach (where we stayed) are so close to the sea, and it's lovely to hear the waves. The architecture of the resort is really special and distinctive - we particularly love the pool and bar area. All of the planting and garden spaces are gorgeous. The beach is well-maintained and perfect for relaxing on. The breakfast is amazing - the best cornetti I've ever had in Italy! Honestly wonderful. We also had lunch in the restaurant one afternoon. I am from the area and find the prices very inflated, but what we had (3 contorni) was delicious. One evening, we had some family come to visit us at the bar. We all had one (expensive) drink, but the staff brought out an incredible spread of aperitivi snacks. A nice touch.

Hotel la Playa was located right on the beach and situated right on the main road where all the restaurants and shops were. The hotel pool is incredible, clean, large and deep (with a shallow end as well). The beach is gorgeous and there is a hotel lifeguard on the beach to keep the clientele and their things safe. Hotel accommodations included beach beds and umbrellas which was a huge relief. The included breakfast was very good with many options and the cappuccino was delicious. The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. We strongly recommend Hotel la Playa for your stay in Sperlonga and will return without a doubt!

We arrived very open minded - our first visit to Ponza turned out to be an amazing holiday. Rooms are nice, not very big, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. A good breakfast is offered in a beautiful garden (the best torta di mele), excellent choice of fresh frutis, cold cuts, eggs… needless to say, excellent coffee. But, above everything, friendly and helpful staff are the soul of the hotel…and the spa. Probably the best we have ever seen - so charming and so different than any other spa you will find in the world. What a jewel, we must be back….

Wow all in there! Lucky enough we had the good weather too and was able to explore what we had to set out to do like Saturnian terms, Porto Santo Stefano and the coast. The beach was nice and great that with all activities included like kayaking. The the facilities were great and stuff helpful especially and the lifeguards. The local supermarket was very handy with decent prices and products

Really nice camping in the shade of old trees. The bungalow was well equipped, clean. The kitchen was equipped with all necessary equipment. Small terrace had barrier, so kids/dogs can't run out. The mini market had fresh bread and basic groceries. The beach is nice, clean, part with dogs is just next to the non-dog area. Both has umbrellas and sun beds.

Some outstanding, historical places to visit.

Some outstanding, historical places to visit. A great city to walk around and just take everything in. Some very nice restaurants / cafes to relax in. The Colosseum is a splendid visit, especially if you have a guided tour. Also visited a large cathedral which was a very impressive building. Saturday was six nations rugby day at the Olympic Stadium, where the Italians got the better of Scotland 18 - 15, in biblical monsoon conditions! Certainly, we will consider returning to visit other historical venues!

We stayed in Fiuggi as our daughter was staying in the same area for her college football tournament. We ate at a few nice restaurants - bistro and GoGo. Would recommend visiting here for an evening meal. There is a bar across from the hotel - lots of different beers to try. Lots of bars and shops in close proximity to each other. Accessible by foot. Supermarket well stocked with lots of basic essentials.

About an hour by train from Rome and you are in this nice seaside town with a wonderful waterfront promenade with palm trees, even an outdoor gym. We stayed in Pomezia because of the short distance to Rome and FCO airport. There are also a lot of good affordable restaurants in Pomezia. Also, my son and I enjoyed the go-kart racing at the Parco 51 shopping center. There is also an outlet mall and theme park close by that we enjoyed.

Frascati is a small, pleasant town with a good range of bars, restaurants, cafes and gelateria. A taxi from Ciampino airport takes 20-30 minutes and costs €50-60. It is a particularly good place to stay if you want to be near Rome but not actually staying in the city. Eating out is much cheaper and the town is relatively quiet and relaxed. As a bonus, the transport links are excellent. Rome is just 30 minutes or so by train from a small station right in the centre, with trains every hour on weekdays and every two hours on Sundays. And nearby places of interest such as Castel Gandolfo, Ariccia and Velletri, are accessible by regular buses from the main square (Piazza Marconi).
