Just 3 km from Fiumicino Airport this B&B offers free Wi-Fi throughout and air-conditioned rooms. Fiumicino Airport B&B Deluxe is set in its furnished garden and provides an Italian-style breakfast. Our flight arrived late (after midnight) but the check in at the Bed and breakfast closed at midnight and they waited for us until 1 AM. Very polite and nice people who work there. We wanted some snacks and decided to walk to a store nearby at 1:30 AM and they offered to drive us there and back. We told them our flight didn't leave until next evening and they offered us a late check out for a few euros. When we got to the room it was very clean and had a comfortable bed and nice bathroom and over all very nice room. We went for a little walk in the town and then came back and they drove us to the airport. 1000% recommended!!!! The staff was awesome and very nice!! Good wifi :)

It is a very quaint area, very close to the airport, which is why we chose to visit this location. There are plenty of places to stop and grab a bite to eat. It is only a 45 minutes drive to Rome, and very easy to navigate there. It does not have the hustle and bustle of Rome, which is preferred by some. The residence were always pleasurable and English was spoken by nearly everyone to some extent. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay between traveling I would highly suggest looking into the hotels in the area. The air traffic noise was not that bad and it never disturbed our trip. There are two very large shopping centers close to the area as well. One of them had an ice skating rink set up by the movie theater when we were there. It is always nice to explore the areas you are in. This town is definitely a little gem.
We visited Fiumicino in late December which is generally not beach weather. Although the beach was nearly deserted we had a nice walk and enjoyed it and enjoyed a drink at a seaside cafe. We ate dinner at two lovely seaside restaurants. The food was excellent. Unfortunately dinner service did not generally commence until after 7 pm which is a bit late for us. It was not easy for us to get around Fiumicino. We did not rent a car, taxis were outrageously expensive and although we traveled the same route the amounts charged by various drivers varied greatly. Getting into Rome City Centre in an inexpensive manner was a challenge, but we finally located an inexpensive train service from nearby Ostia. The train service was fast and easy to use. On my next trip I would try to avoid the taxis, but the hotel staff discouraged the use of the mass transit system.
If you are travelling from Fiumincino airport to Fiumincino neighbourhood, be prepared to fight with taxi drivers, who only want to do a trip to Rome (55 euros fixed rate) and are not interested in short trips. They even left us stranded with a baby, until we found a guy that charged is a fixed price (hotel was literally 5 minutes away from airport), even when he had a meter in the taxi. So felt ripped off right at the start to our trip to Italy. Then we went south to Amalfi Coast and it has been fantastic since!
Loved being in a working fishing port and seeing the local activity. Fiumicino is very friendly and less touristy than other places. There are lots of little cafes, restaurants and a large supermarket nearby. Taxi from airport and train station was 15 euros (January 2016). Super convenient location for airport - approximately 10 minutes by taxi. The nautical experience is authentic. Lots of working fishing boats on the estuary. Enjoyed seeing the old fisherman mending the nets by hand on the promenade along the estuary. Great local experience.
THE CLEANLINESS THE FASHION THE PICTURESQUE CITY THE SURROUNDING BEAUTY THE SAFETY THE CONVENIENCE THE TRAINS THE FRIENDLY CITIZENS THE PASSION FOR THEIR PETS AND THE ROMANCE THAT LURES AROUND ONESELF......... I JUST LOVE ROME AND ALL OF THE CITIES WE VISITED. WILL DEFINITELY MAKE A SECOND TRIP..........
The Hotel may seem out of reach but if you book the shuttle it can drop you off at a convenient point. The food at the Hotel restaurant is good. You can eat outdoors enjoying the view of the swimming pool and garden. The potted lemon trees was a pleasent surprise. It was a short stay but will reccommend to others. If you go to Fiumicino town order the fish in a bag! (cartoccio di pesce fritto) as you stroll the Darsena.
