Where do i start. From arriving you know this a very well run hotel, the staff are welcoming, not formal but polite and friendly, always with a smile. The decor is elegant with a welcoming feeling. When you arrive in your room be prepared to gasp, as our room was breathtaking , the view from the balcony looked onto a well maintained rose garden with mountainous views looking across Merano. Now the food. Breakfast was served on the rooftop. Within a large glass room filled with amazing plants. You have a buffet style breakfast with a selection of breads, fruits, yoghurts and many other healthy options. There is also a chef on hand to cook you almost anything you want for breakfast, i opted for an omelette which was outstanding. There is an afternoon snack with cakes, fruits and ice cream. The evening dinner was in the basement of the hotel. A wonderful relaxing room with tables well spread out. From the menu each and every dish was presented in your michelin star decor. Everything is cooked to perfection and complimented with everything on your plate. We also experienced chef Claudios special menu with the wine pairing, this is a must. His dishes have you in anticipation for your next dish and it just seems to have your pallet craving for more. My favourite dish from my whole stay was the sour ice cream.. no it wasnt a spelling mistake.. this is an actual thing and it is amazing. My mouth is now watering while i type. Chef Claudio and his wife Monica are such a lovely welcoming couple who have created maybe the best hotel i have stayed at. Everything from the gardens, the staff, the room maids, the spa, the restaurants and the food is all a 10/10 from me.. I hope to return again soon. An experience you want to re live.

The breakfast was gorgeous, really an amazing spread of fresh and local ingredients, and dried fruits and müesli, and a juicer, and an omelette and crepe chef -4 kinds of butter. Really amazing! Warm reception and friendly staff. The dinners were also great - as parents to 2 kids, we usually go for simple restaurants with kid-pleasing fare - but the dinner menu was truly fabulous, gourmet chef style, amazing choices where everyone could find something delicious and to their tastes, and a wonderful salad and appetizer buffet to accompany the dinner menu. And the kids had nice simpler options as well, and then could go downstairs to the playroom and let us enjoy the rest of our courses. The family room with a special kid bedroom was just what we needed, and the balconies were my favorite - unbelievable views. The pools and saunas were also wonderful - easily accessible even by elevator, great for my parents who were with us - the indoor pool is not huge but was just right for us to play and swim a bit with the kids, and even in October we could swim in the heated pool outdoors. (One is heated, one is not). I loved the gym - always makes vacation feel a little better when I can get a few workouts in. I didn't make it to the yoga hour, will have to save that for next time! Thank you guys for a lovely stay, our first time in South Tyrol and we will definitely be back!!

Great location, very central and within walking distance to all places of interest. A good selection of sweet and savoury food on the breakfast buffet, the eggs made to order were delicious. The room was well furnished and very clean, we were offered a free upgrade which was much appreciated. Stylish bathroom with a great shower and lovely soft bathrobes.
