Worth a visit. I go for work often, its a nice enough place to visit but the public transport offering is wholly inadequate other than the train to Rome. It would be a nice change to visit for a day from Rome with direct train takes 25 mins and costs less than 2 euros. Its in the countryside high up so maybe a bit cooler in summer, a nice park and plenty of greenery, cheaper than Rome and some great food and wine too, but staying in Frascati with a view to visit the surrounding area without a car is going to be impossible. Either you need a car or you limit your stay to Frascati itself. Be careful the last train back to Rome is around 22h30 otherwise its a taxi at 50 euros or more (if you can find one!)

I loved it! Very nice, small and cozy city for a short stay.
I loved it! Very nice, small and cozy city for a short stay. With a feel of Lazio in it's best. Good restaurants and bars, with beautiful view of the entire Rome (in case you're adventurous and like to walk uphill a bit to reach the view-points). Also many wineries in proximity where you can taste amazing wine from the region.

Frascati is on high ground with stupendous views over Rome, which is about 30 minutes away by car (if you dare). The hotel Villa Tuscolana is 2 km from the town, up a very steep hill - not to be attempted on foot at night.
On a recommendation from the hotel on an evening when their restaurant was closed for a private event, we ate at a restaurant in Frascati called Tarbert - excellent food, never seen such a display of beef on offer.

A great family friendly place to visit with lovely walks, shops and friendly people.
A safe feel with many interesting places to discover.
Be careful on parking, some are very expensive.
Best parking is a few moments from Conad supermarket and directly opposite from an Irish bar.
Great eateries, especially Fondi with budget friendly daytime eats or aperitivo menus

Frascati is a fabulous town, which has a village like feel, but with everything a city has. It's a very friendly and helpful community.
The train station is close by and only 35 minutes to Rome.
Your treated like a local after a couple of visits to cafes and restaurants,
which is lovely.
As we walk everywhere, Frascati is a great place for this.
After three visits to this town, I'm sure it won't be our last visit.

Perfect little town to use as a base for visiting Rome and the surrounding area. Great transport links to Rome and Ciampino airport. Great place to escape from the chaos of Rome's tourist scene with plenty of places to eat, drink, explore and relax. Everyone we met was very friendly and kind and the town has a close community feel to it that is very warm and welcoming.

The house is great, with preserved features of the old house. The location is within walking distance of ESA, but but the street is not lit, so make sure to have light if dark. Beautiful view to the vineyards. The host Sergio is amazing and I am so grateful for his flexibilty, even picking me up from Frascati downtown at a late hour and communicating promptly. A beautiful and super friendly white dog adds to the charm of the venue.
I liked the amenities, the proximity of the center, size of the room is quite enough for 2 people. Bed was comfortable, slightly too soft for my taste. The bathroom was fine and equipped. Quiet neighborhood and good for visiting Frascati, given that it is in the center and close to restaurants, viewing points, bars and places to visit.
We had the most wonderful experience visiting and staying at the “Poggio agli Ulivi”. Everything — starting from the host, location, views, welcoming, local goods, breakfast, wine yards — was exceptional. 💚 We are grateful for the opportunity to stay in Frascati. 🇮🇹 Oreste, our new friend, we will be back one day!
The room was lovely and comfortable. It was very spacious and had a homely feeling. The shower was good and the bed was comfy. It was very clean and a perfect distance from the train station where it was easy to get into Rome. It was lovely getting to see Frascati.
Lovely place to stay in Frascati. Only three minutes walk to the train station and then you're in Rome Termini in 30 minutes. Frascati is a charming town with plenty to do in the evening after a day of sightseeing in the city.
