We enjoyed staying in Manarola. It is a nice central town making it easy to explore Cinque Terre. Because we were there in the fall of '21, few Americans were present and it was delightfully uncrowded. There was a wide selection of restaurants and bars and the bodega near the apartment in Manarola carried everything a traveler might need. Hiking was pleasant but not easy. Stair steps up the cliffs led to beautiful views. We purchased a Cinque Terre pass which came in handy and allowed us to hope from town to town on the train.
Great central town to visit Cinque Terre. Easy to reach the other towns by train. Take the Ferry at least once to see the towns from the sea. Pesto class at Nessun Dorma was the best-do it if you can. Take your time. Have a meal or a drink down by the water. We ate at Billy's and Regina di Manarola-excellent meals and great terraces to see the sunsets.
Whilst all the Cinque Terre villages are beautiful and have a distict personality, Manarola perhaps offers the most dramatic 'seaside' feel. Monterosso has a proper beach but less of a beautiful backdrop, and Manarola has a vibrant harbour area and some great bars overlooking the sea. A sundowner cocktail at the gloriously positioned Nessum Dorma is a must, but do go well before sunset or you'll have to queue for a table.
Stunning village in a dramatic setting with great views. We've been twice, the first time in the summer - take a sunset boat cruise, a magical experience. Plan to stay overnight to get the true flavour of this lovely little town once the crowds have left. At Christmas time the town is much quieter but just as lovely. The Christmas lights on the hillside surrounding the town well worth seeing. Visit Nessun Dorma for fab views of the town and great drinks/snacks - it's open when the sun shines all year round!
Beautiful location. Terrific hiking. Weather the day I arrived and day left were poor - and entire area shuts down. 3 of the four major hikes not available. Lots of tourists especially large groups made some towns unbearably crowded.
Manarola was a pretty village. The train station is a short walk through the subway from the main street, which means it doesn't spoil the ambience of this little village. Great Marina to watch the sunset from and lots of restaurants with varying menus & costs. Best gelato in Cinque Terre.
Amanarola was the perfect place to stay for our trip to Cinque Terre. Located a short walk from Manarola train station, the room and reception looks all newly decorated and was exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed including masks and sanitiser and even a balcony with the view of the clock tower. Francesco was super friendly and helpful in providing us with anything we needed to know including keeping us up to date with weather for the area. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!
The property is in a great location, very convenient for Cinque Terre I think. Once you get out of the tunnel from the train, there is a small street behind and just up the hill a little bit is the hotel. Our room was spacious and very clean with a nice view of the town and sea. There are some nice restaurants nearby and a few small grocery stores just on the main street below.
Great location in the best town in Cinque Terre. Ver clean. Everything is new. Great location! Quick walk from the train. Stores and restaurants on street below. Easy walk to watch the sunset over the sea. Owners were very kind and great at communication. Very glad that we found this place!
Great location (close to the train station and center of Manarola), lovely place with all facilities needed, great advices from the landlord about activities and restaurants. I would recommend this place to any people travelling in the Cinque Terre.
Best place I stayed during my 2 week Italy trip. The best location. Exactly in the middle between the trains and the beach which was so easy. Room was always nice and tidy. Loved it. Friendly staff and a very easy check in process.
They were super responsive, and easy to work with,, both apartments in the place have an incredible view, it is small, but it's cinque terre, we were not expecting a huge place and it was still bigger than our expectations.
I liked everythin. New hotel, clean, very good service from Elena the manager, nice sun terrace, very nice view, perfect situatedi in Manarola. Couldn`t been better :-) Elena gives her guest the best service :-)
Great stay with an amazing terrace view. We received phenomenal recommendations from Maurizio on where to eat and walk in Manarola. The best WiFi we had of anywhere on our two week trip as well.
The host welcomed me so very friendly and gave lot of recommendations about Manarola. She even personally made a phone call to reserve a table for dinner from one of the best restaurants.
Excellent location! 4 minutes walk to train station. Perfect little balcony overlooking the street. Definitely recommend this location to anyone visiting the Cinque Terre!!!!
Service was outstanding. The room was amazing with the balcony as well. Very nice, clean, and upgraded. The owner of this hotel was very kind and informative.
Very well designed hotel - everything seems brand new. Location is great with a view on the sea shore.
This was a comfortable, cute room centrally located in the Cinque Terre, and the owner was nice!
A beautiful hotel with a stunning view and wonderful staff. We had an amazing time and our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. We will definitely be back. Thank you Romeo, Gabriel and Diego!
The stay had quite possibly the best view of the town and the ocean. It was spacious with a well equipped kitchen. I enjoyed the fact that coffee was included.
Breakfast was wonderful and staff was so friendly! Loved it here
We really liked the view and the minimalistic style of the hotel
