Similarly an afternoon spent on the rooftop terrace, by the pool, with jazz music playing is just wonderful. The rooms are simple, but clean and secure. An absolute hidden gem that many people do not know about. Opppsite a very well known vinery this oasis of 35 hectares lies a monastery that has been converted into the most equisite Masseria. From driving into the property and entering reception, we could see the little touches made to make the Masseria special. We were greeted by an amazing lady who checked us in and made such an effort to make my sisters birthday holiday. Sparkling rose, fruits and a lovely message awaited in our suite. The wine tasting with food was so educational and well conducted. The tour around the property was also a lovely touch with its history. Dinner was exceptional and we thank the chef for accommodating a vegetarian family. Breakfast was ok and not like the other Masseria’s we had stayed in - where they had home made cakes, Jams and breads, this was a bit different. Be warned, pancakes and crepes are an additional cost. I loved the fresh fruit growing in the property. The 2 pools, secret garden and not forgetting the small details in each suite. This Masseria and the interior designer should be given an award.

One of the nicest B&B's / Farms I have stayed so far. It all feels extremely homely. The property is very well designed and its apparent that it all follows a consistent logic in terms colors and style. Nice pool. Owner is very friendly and tries his best to communicate in English as well and is very accommodating and helpful despite his probably very busy schedule running the farm. The breakfast was also very nice that included local produce. Promixity by car to all top wineries in the area, he also gave a few recommendations that were incredible.

Hmm interesting, not a lot of English spoken down this far, we don’t expect people to have to talk English at all, but I think people weren’t confident talking to us so avoided us, they weren’t rude just not too helpful. Parking is quite easy as not busy here. There’s not as much to do here or as many tourist attractions as further north . We enjoyed Lecce very much. But Oria and Manduria not so much. Food was very good when we found somewhere but getting to sit down and feel comfortable was difficult. We didn’t do the beaches as we never stay long anyway but I think we should have given it a go.

A good starting point for destinations by the sea.

A good starting point for destinations by the sea. Manduria is eminently charming although going longer than a week makes it necessary to eat in the same places. The restaurant base is not very large.

The hotel is in the historic centre and a short walk from the central square. The front entrance of the hotel is on a small and narrow street, so it is very difficult (if not impossible) to find parking, but then the inside opens up to a very nice inner courtyard/garden. I was in one of the 2 rooms upstairs in front of the small pool (which fits about 4-6 people), which was nice. The room and bathroom were of a very good size
