The apartment is up high on the mountain and the view on the valley is breathtaking. The apartment had a huge terrace that, although rear facing, had a corner overlooking the valley big enough to put our table and sun chairs outside to enjoy the view. The apartment is also very close to the cable cars going down to Rio Pusteria and up high to (don’t remember the name of the mountain) at 1600 m. The host was very responsive and helpful. The area also is very well organised for families with prams (mountain trails included). Amazing holidays.

Maranza is perfectly placed if you want a lot of family-friendly slopes. Most of the nights, we ate at our accommodation (Hauslerhof), as they do hot food from 18:30 to 20:30. There is a free ski bus that runs every hour, apart from the pretty long lunch break. Across from our accommodation, there is an amazing bakery. There are only a couple of small grocery shops in the village, however, if you want a supermarket you can just take the gondola to Rio di Pusteria. Some of the hotels, including ours, have some sort of reciprocal agreement with the Alpinpool, and you get an entrance ticket for just 2 euros.

Maranza is a skiing resort.

Maranza is a skiing resort. The villages are so lovely, peaceful, clean. The extraordinary views of the Alps are a wonder. Walkers and people who love, (and are suited) to explore the mountains must have a great time.
