The views from the hotel (including Etna) were just fantastic (we booked sea-view). The location was great for ius as it was a short walk to lots of interesting places for us, and the staff were really friendly ( a bit more english would have been helpful but wasn't necessary)
Milazzo is a beautiful coastal city rich in history, culture and architecture. I was there for just two days as the purpose of us staying there was our sail to the Isole Eolie, but I did notice the city offers excellent shopping and all types of dining and nightlife. And the day and nighttime views of the Aeolian sea and mainland Sicily were gorgeous. As Italian/American tourists, I was delighted how friendly the locals were to us on the street and in the stores/restaurants. Be prepared to pay for parking wherever you go though day and night. I would certainly visit this city again.
Good restaurants, handy for trips to Aeolian Islands. Small sandy beach on one side. Larger pebbly, windy beach on other. Train station 3kms from centre, no cafe, buses not that frequent, no timetable either. Taxi 15 - 20 euros. Great food at restaurant La Campagnola.
I have spent a week here to join Italian language classes. The school was absolutely wonderful (highly recommended), the bnb I choose was not that great and Milazzo I would say so-so. Enough shops and cafes (I recommend Totu for tea and dolce) and restaurants ( I recommend Casalinga for midrange priced delicious pasta) and you can make a walk up to the castle for great views and a lovely walk at capo Milazzo to enjoy the surroundings.
Very nice place to visit for a few nights. Recommend taking the boat tour to stromboli day and night (the tour finishes on the boat watching the active volcano erupt). Plenty of shops and restaurants. The castle is a must see and great value for money amazing views from the top looking over milazzo. I highly recommend dining at "the burg" possibly the best burger I have eaten made with meat from Tuscany.
The main reason for going to Milazzo is to use the port for ferries sailing to the Eolian Islands. But a day there could be very rewarding. You could walk up to the castle and cathedral and get a superb view. There is a beach where you can swim. There is an elegant promenade. The town is a bustling place with plenty to take your attention when you walk around.
Inspiring views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, Tono Beach and Eolian Islands from the kitchen and spacious terrace thrilled us everyday. Even when not looking at the panoramic view one is reminded of the sea by the sound of crashing waves. Walk across the street and miles and miles of fine-pebbled beach is yours to stroll. This is the best equipped kitchen we have seen in Sicily after renting in seven cities. Super Clean! An easy drive to town for shopping or visiting Milazzo’s gorgeous waterfront. Don’t miss the Pool of Venus!
The location was terrific....five minute walk to restaurants and shops and to the port. We did a boat tour that returned at 11 pm and it was a quick, safe walk back to the hotel when we were very tired! There was a grocery store within walking distance as well. The room was nice and clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was typical Italian breakfast, but many choices were available. The room was quiet at night as well. Overall very nice stay!
Milazzo
Milazzo Port stands few steps away from the sea port, so it's a very convenient solution for those going or coming back from Aeolian islands. It's also pretty close to Milazzo city center, which is worth a stop for visiting the old town on the hill. Rooms are spacious and with nice handmade decorations, giving a bright look with elements of Sicilian motives. Very comfortable bathroom also. Combined with a very fair price it's really worth a stop here.
Milazzo
Our stay at Solaris couldn’t have been better. We only stayed in Milazzo for one night but if we had known it was so nice we would’ve stayed longer. The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable - we also appreciated the theme of of the room. The staff were also very kind and served a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Would not have changed a thing about our stay. I should also add that the check-in and check out was incredibly easy and seamless.
It was a classy place to stay in old town Milazzo. Breakfast was nutritious and delicious. The room was a cool respite from the hot Milazzo summer heat wave. We loved chilling out during the heat of the day. And the facilities were well appointed and clean, Also the staff was generous with their time and knowledge, so friendly and funny! We couldn't have asked for more.

The recepcionist was the kindest most helpful hotel staff member I have ever encountered. The breakfast was great and adapted personally for us. The location is perfect, right next to the port and close to the city centre. The room is perfectly comfortable, with a cozy welcoming decoration.
The hotel is in a good position. Very clean. Very generous and varied breakfast and a good variety of gluten free products. The staff was very efficient, helpful and friendly. Had a wonderful 3 day stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel if staying in Milazzo.

Beatiful room with balcony and sea view in old Sicilian house. Diego the host was very helpful. He helped us with parking the car for several days as we continued our trip to the Eolian islands. Lovely breakfast.
Walking distance to the Milazzo Port. The host also gave me a free ride to the train station the next day. He also recommended a very good place to have great dinner.

Does what it says on the tin - a great, clean, no-frills place to stay for a night en route (or on way back from) Aeolian islands.
