Hotel in Monopoli
Once an ancient fortress, Don Ferrante now offers luxury accommodations in a panoramic location on the cliffs of Monopoli. It features a small pool with hydromassage jets. What a gem of a hotel in the old town of Monopoli. Don Ferrante is a very charming and unique boutique hotel at perfect location to explore the narrow streets of the old town and the area - stunning place. Hotel is located right by the sea with lovely views and outdoor terraces and areas to enjoy and to relax. The rooms are lovely, spacious and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and professional and the service was high quality even to the point where they assisted in finding parking for us. Every little detail was well thought through considering your stay at the premises and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - would definitely go back and stay again and for longer period of time next time. Didn't want to leave....

Monopoli is not a usual resort with huge hotels, swimming pools and promenades along a monotonous beach. It comes rather with a compact old-town feel where tourits live in a room next to the locals, eat in the same trattoria and bath on a small beach between cliffs and town walls.
We stayed at Agriturismo Santo Stefano just outside of town. It was beautiful and clean. We loved walking around Monopoli and enjoyed the Lido Bambu. It is a great place to stay and make day trips for sight seeing!
Monopoli is my favorite Apulian city. Beautiful, historic architecture, proximity to the sea and many beaches: pebble and sandy. Very kind and helpful people, many nice restaurants: Salsamenteria and Carlo Quinto. I recommend it especially in the off-season to take it easy and forget about stress.
A gorgeous - freindly place with stunning architecture, food and beaches, do not miss the opportunity to stay here - every step is a photo opportunity - a real gem! You can take the regional train all along the coast here and it is great. We stayed in Trani then Bari then Poligano i Mare and finally Monopoli. We didn'r want the stress and expense of hiring a car and we were delighted with the regionan train that is cheap and reliable. Hot tip- download the trein Italia app and pre-purchase your tickets online then you just show your phone to the inspector. The place is full of great fish restaurants and bars and street food so no matter what your budget you will find what you need.
The perfect combination of historic town, beautiful churches, museums , surrounded by history and near the sea. Of all the towns I visited in Puglia, I found Monopoli the prettiest (great restaurants and bars). If you’re renting a car , drive down the coast and stop to see the medieval towers dotting the coast - don’t forget market day on Saturday.
If you are looking for a resort with crowds and hectic nightlife, then try elsewhere. Monopoli is a town that has retained its own identity and residents go about their normal daily lives. It is small enough to walk around and explore with ease and people are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. In my opinion, it is a very safe place for solo travellers - I am 68. The architecture is amazing and if old buildings interest you, you won't be disappointed and arts and culture are thriving. There are many places to eat in the main Piazzas and also in the little hidden side streets. It is a peaceful relaxing place to visit and I know this because I have visited about 10 times, on my own and with family/friends. Should you wish to visit nearby towns, there is an excellent train service, if you do not want to hire transport. On my most recent visit in October, I was very impressed with their safety compliance requirements. I'm looking forward already to my next visit.
Monopoli
The location is probably the best location in Monopoli: in the city center and you cannot be closer to the ocean! The host Pietro is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. He will pick you up in his “white Ferrari” (as he calls his Ape) give you a tour around Monopoli just because he loves showing the lovely city to his guests. The rooms are great: modern and equipped with design pieces but at the same time cozy and authentic. We will come back for sure - can’t wait! Thank you Pietro for this exceptional stay!
Monopoli
Il Sole is a perfect place to stay for multiple nights.. Monopoli is a beautifull city with good restaurants so after a relaxing day at the swimming poole (this area is amazing) you can easily get some good food in the city. The staff is very helpful and kind and the rooms are really large, clean and comfy beds so you can easily relax in il Sole. One other thing which stand out it the breakfast which is amazing!! The lunch during the day is also very good but this breakfast is the best.
Monopoli
Everything about the house. It is small but very well designed. I enjoyed my stay there. The location is also fantastic. The hospitality given by the owner, Annamaria, is second to none. She picked me up at the station upon my arrival and dropped me off again at the station after checking out. This was very helpful. She responded to all of my questions and giving me some tips and suggestions too. I would definitely come back and stay at this place anytime I go to Monopoli..
Monopoli
Mauro (the host) was very kind and helpful during our whole stay at casa cielo&mare! Thanks to his recommendations we were able to taste the traditional cusine and visit the best spots in Monopoli and surroundings. The appartman is very new and modern with a lovely view to the sea! Everything is very close (Grocery store, bar and also the historical center is 10 mind by walk!) parking spot was always available right infront of the door. Best choice for everyone! ;)
Monopoli
Our apartment (Lavanda) was spotlessly clean, roomy, well equipped, with comfortable bed, nice details and an amazing view from the window (not only blue sea and sky, but also ships, boats and sailboats - our 3-year-old son was mesmerised). The breakfast was delicious lots of fresh choices both sweet and savoury! Santa Maria 24 is located in the most beautiful part of Monopoli old town. It was one of the best places we visited in Italy!
Monopoli
Amazing host. Nicole helped me guide through the bus routes and how to reach there. Very responsive host!! She also welcomed us with a wine bottle and some snacks which is really sweet. The place is also very well connected with old town, beach, and castle. The best part was the terrace which had a beautiful sea view. We will definitely stay again if we travel to Monopoli in future.

Monopoli
Perfect location a few steps away from one of the best local beaches. Owners were very friendly and recommended us a great restaurant for seafood close by. Decoration feels like a 5 star hotel with great attention to small details such as the quality of the bedsheets and bath towels. We had an amazing time here and will definitely come back. Incredible value for money!
Monopoli
We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment is beautifully renovated and decorated. The location is perfect, directly in the old town and close to the Main Plaza of Monopoli but very quiet. And the best: beaches are within walking distance. The host Amelia is warm and friendly and makes you feel welcome immediately. Great place to hang out and experience Monopoli.
We loved everything about this hotel. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable during these Covid times. From the breakfast to our room, everything was super clean and protocols were observed at every turn. The pool gave us a relaxing way to end the day and we mostly had it to ourselves most afternoons. Highly recommend Don Ferrante!
Monopoli
The rooms were very pretty, clean and comfy. Our host was so helpful, nice and friendly, we didn't need to worry about anything. We had kitchen, balcony, the bed was soft, we loved the place! It is only a few minutes away from to the best beach in Monopoli. Quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended!

it was an amazing location in the old town! the staff was very helpful and kind and welcoming. we were so centrally located in the charming center of monopoli. we had an easy time parking and taking the van to the car park. the room was right off of the town square and next to the castle and port.
Monopoli
Really lovely place to stay in Monopoli -- right in the center of the historic district, a short walk from the beach, wine bars, and nice little shops. The place itself is nothing short of perfect, even for our 10-day working vacation! And the host, Cesare, was exceptionally helpful.
Monopoli
Perfect location, close to Monopoli city center and the best beaches. The staff was friendly and communication was smooth. The room was well equipped, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast served on the rooftop was very pleasant. Overall a nice stay, probably the best in the area.
Monopoli
I stayed in the apartment for a weekend, highly recommended. It is in the center of the monopoly, very clean, big enough for a couple. The owner recommended me places and restaurants to visit. It will be my choice for the next visit at Monopoli.
Monopoli
Located just minutes from Monopoli, was very easy to get in and out of town. The pool was great and well maintained. Breakfast was great and staff were super accommodating. We’d be happy to stay again.
Monopoli
Location was superb just a few minutes away from the beach and close to all the bars and restaurants. Monopoli in itself is such a lovely little town!
Monopoli
Very nice, kind staff, really helpful with all matters at hand they really try to make your stay memorable (in a good way). The location is very nice, granted it is in the middle of olive trees fields, but you can see the sea from the pool and terrace. Breakfast was very nice, of course because of COVID you have to “preorder”. Also, the masseria itself is just a gorgeus property and has a magnificent charm.
A large, well-kept hotel. Nice and clean rooms. Two swimming pools and beach access. Interesting animations, I definitely recommend it.
Nice location. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Very clean rooms. Top service.
